Absolutely terrible rooms, mouldy the smell was foul and we found dirty mould and plants under the sink
The dirty rooms

Bathroom should be renovated as its long and water poured on the floor during shower. Dangerous for the kids to slip on the wet floor. Rooms/Suite should be dusted/cleaned properly prior to occupancy.
Breakfast is good but coffee should be included

Loved how quiet the place was. Appreciate the staff as well always checking if there’s anything we need during our stay.
I love the the place is accessible to different restaurants but these restaus are very expensive and food quality is bad. There’s a cafe across the building we stayed but same sentiment.
Having access to good food would be nice. Good thing that they allow Grab or Food Panda to deliver.

the location specially the restaurant around the area is good
not that clean

The place was full of trees loved the scenery, so peaceful and quiet, staff very friendly and helpful, near restaurants and cafés the rooms and bathrooms were clean. It's a place where you can just relax. Loved the cake the hotel sent us when they found out it's our birthday staycation 🥰

Location, scenery and weather in the location
The hotel is old and not maintained well. Bathroom grout looks dirty, curtain decorations are in the 1800’s look. Staff in the restaurants do not know customer service. The staff need training, I believe, to come up to standards.

good grounds
facilities in the kitchen are very limited. The property is not really suitable for a self catering holiday. Could also do with a bit of cleaning. Chair cushions are stained.

The staff are friendly and very accommodating. The hotel is clean and the whole place is truly beautiful. Highly recommended and will surely stay here again!
This is not related at all with the hotel stay. The weather was bad during our trip which limited our time to explore the other restaurants in the area. (We still managed to dine at 3 restaurants 'though!)
However, probably the shoe "rug/pit" (made with wooden frame) on the middle of the entrance when it is raining could be changed with something safer and would not make a guest trip as they walk inside or come out from the entrance. But overall, we really enjoyed our first stay at Crosswinds!

Scenery
Basic amenities like towels should be looked into, the towels are not fresh, they look dirty , worn out and have holes.

The view in the room is scenic and the location of the hotel is perfect getaway specially the pine trees and nearby restaurants with superb foods. Only downside is there are a lot of dining guests and queue might take longer during weekends.
We found a dead cockroach on the floor as soon as we enter the room. The place looks a bit old and, in my opinion it can still be improved by fixing few things. The faucet in the comfort room is very hot, the cold part doesn't even work, we just did not raise it to the staff as we can use the faucet in the kitchen. We were informed about the free movie night and free popcorn 30 minutes past the start of the viewing. It would have been nice if we were informed during our check in.

The overall location was very nice. Room was spacious and cozy for a weekend stay. Reception staff was thorough and helpful.
There was no cellular signal inside the property. Moreover, as I went biking with my friends going to Windmills Lausanne, the security guards looked down upon us (was it because we were riding a bike?). One guard, when we've asked to take photos of us, declined and turned away (when we have seen him taking photos of other guests). Another guard, while going back to the hotel, have mistaken us for bystanders and even called our attention using "Hoy" and "Boy". Mind you, we were wearing complete and proper cycling gears and do not look shabby.

Rooms are outdated, air conditioning was not working properly. You need to request for a maid to clean your room and to get new towels etc.. There’s no way to reach the front desk , no telephone in any rooms. Our cell phone doesn’t work also because of a poor signal. For $$$$ they’re charging... not worth it.
They views are spectacular!!

How the staff treated us..

We love the ambiance, the swiss-hotel feel, and the hotel team was very accommodating and even exerted efforts to provide celebratory banners and wine for our family's milestones celebration. They made us feel at home. We will definitely find time to go back 🙂

Spacious room and complete kitchen.
The pool was closed on a Friday AND Saturday. Which was strange. Closed on two of the busiest days of the week.

Breakfast was good & the location was good also.
Could have been better if the pool is open, when I booked it did say only close on Tuesday for maintenance but it closed for the whole week, without informing us. Also so many in the suite not in there, for example no toaster, no tea towel, no cloth for the kitchen, it’s say 2 toilet included but only one. And the toilet & shower is in one room, it’s so difficult for 5 people to use😞

We liked the weather, the scenery, the scent of pine trees and the food at Windmill Lausanne.
The doorbell at unit 5D Tower 2 and the phone were not functioning. The bathtub is leaking thus created a mini pool inside the master's BR toilet.
It was a far cry from when I first stayed at the resort for our company's Strat Planning Conference. The rooms were poorly maintained including exteriors- chipped paints, unkempt facade- tiles looked moldy.
