- very friendly staff
- the masseria is very good located
- the breakfast was good
- the pool was always tidy, also the rooms
- for 2-3 days, the wifi didn't work
- the organization of the staff was a bit chaotic (especially at the first days, when we were almost the only guests in the masseria)
- the aperitivo-bar was not open
- at the first days the pool was not open at the announced times
- the walls (at least in the area of the masseria we were) were poorly soundproofed

fantastic stay! Alfredo was great, he waited for us to arrive, walked us around the property and was there to answer any questions. the property itself is stunning! It has been recently renovated to a high specification, is exceptionally clean and smack bang in the centre of town. I will 100% be looking to stay here again…why choose anywhere else!!

This is a charming hotel, extremely relaxing and definitely with a character. Our room (26) was one of the best rooms we stayed in. However, keep in mind, there was no shower, just a jacuzzi with a pullout handle. It didn’t bother us. Hotel staff was very friendly. It was nice chatting to young gentlemen at breakfast specifically. Location is perfect. 10 minutes walk to the beach, but if you need beach umbrellas and chairs, you need to either drive for 7 minutes or take hotel’s free shuttle. Keep in mind that there is a pick up schedule to go back to the hotel, you can’t just leave any time you want.
There was one minor thing that bothered us. The breakfast started at 8 am, which is kinda late for us and for the industry standard, but, hey, it’s Puglia, I haven’t met a single tourist who spoke language other than Italian.
It was definitely a 5 star experience and we will be recommending Masseria Donnaloia to our friends.
breakfast started a little too late for us and per
industry standard

The wifi didn’t work in my room so I had to move to another part of the hotel so I could work.
The dinner was pre prepared and pre heated. Tiramisu was frozen.

Due to work I was limited in enjoying the facilities, but when I did manage to book the spa.... Big recommendation right there!!
The bed was an interesting combination of sturdy and yet no fluffy sinking in. The air conditioning was struggling with the intense heat, can't blame here but be warned that it needs to be on 24/7 in summer.

The staff were so friendly, they couldn’t have been nicer.

Nice hotel in historic building.
Our room (Double Deluxe) was beautiful, but the bed was not up to expectations
The bed was not good at all: It was squeaking, the bed frame seemed worn out and sagging, it had a too soft mattress.
The hotel policies seem very inflexible and not customer oriented: We asked if we could use the pool area after check-out, as we had our flight in the evening that day. The staff refused on the grounds that there would be an insurance problem. I have never heard such an excuse before, other hotels have offered this option without us even asking for it. Although we stayed only 1 night, we payed 355 EUR for the room, so I have been a bit surprised by the refusal.

Location very close to the beach
We had a nice room but I believe it was a bit overpriced, around 350 euro a night

Very nice place! Private car recommended., because hotel really stay in the olive grove! We did not have car, but use hotel shuttle to beach and taxi to Monopoli! Staff took care about transportation!
Good breakfast!
We spend really nice week!

The only good thing about the hotel is the outside. The pool looked good and they have beach services with transport included.
We arrived at the hotel and the receptionist made us wait for a long time. After that, she told us that because of the wait, she would upgrade our room (during that wait, I was looking at the entrance lamps, as they had lots of spider webs). We went to the room, and it really seemed like a cheap pension. It had a very small window towards an interior patio. The bed had very low quality bedlinen. The toilet, in addition to making noise after each flush for 7 minutes, could not be used until the tank was full (I presume those 7 minutes of noise were caused by that). The shower curtain was disgusting with mold and missing rings. Finally, a dangerous unevenness on the bathroom threshold made me hurt a toenail in the night.
The room we stayed in seemed more like a downgrade than anything else.
The prices are excessive for the quality offered and the photos are misleading.
I would not recommend it to anyone.

Very nice conceptual hotel. Good location near Monopoli 5 mins drive max. 4-5 mins drive to the beach as well. Most of the staff was friendly, they helped us upgrade the room to a very spacious and nice decorated one. And welcomed us with some good and cold prosecco.
The bed was big and comfortable, lots of good pillows, spacious bathroom, clean room. The restaurant was pretty romantic, and not very crowded which made our stay more pleasant + the good morning coffee.
Lots of parking places and amazing Valet. Helped us with our tons of luggages.
Not to many activities for two families with two small kids (3+ years) but we would recommend it for the vibrant and romantic feel of the place.
Breakfast - pretty poor + no variety.
Restaurant - decent food, but few dishes, opens late, so unless you book your lunch in advance, you need to serve it some other place.
Pool - clean but pretty small, and not kids friendly
Staff - overall nice and friendly, only some of them are speaking english.
Beach - Not so great, don’t lose your time here, better visit other beaches there are plenty of them around (15-25 mins drive).
