Fab place to dine & stay

It’s our 2nd stay here & it didn’t disappoint again 💛 ,lovely restaurant/bar with rooms , in the heart of Melbourne town ,dined in the restaurant & the food is amazing ,the staff lovely & friendly ,can’t fault it .

A clean , comfortable, stay with friendly helpful staff.

The property is in a perfect location for visiting this area . The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and the hottest cappuccino ever…. And that is a big tick in my book! 😄

Good value for money

The food was superb and it was really good value for money.

Really noisy bar downstairs. No clear reception area for room bookings. Parking is a bit of a lottery at best

Over price facilities not great

Pretty village close to where we were attending a wedding

Cold had to ask for portable heater as central heating not working in a very cold period of minus temperatures - and very pricing very high for what was on offer ..these are rooms above a public house and price didn’t include breakfast. Friend stay at close by hotel bad £30 less per room and that included breakfast

Great location, friendly staff, some rooms need updating

Good central location with excellent local restaurants. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice lunch at Harpur's. Free parking

Requested rooms close by, one was in a separate house over the road. This room was not up to standard as mould in bathroom. Arrived back at 10.20pm and went to the bar for a drink, staff had closed the bar however people were still in there. Expensive for rooms without breakfast.

I felt like I did nothing but complain!

Why have hotel rooms above a noisy bar, on a very busy road, with no soundproofing. No double glazing or secondary glazing. Absolutely no point going to bed before the bar empties and the staff had dragged all the furniture across the floor back into place. Traffic noise all night makes sleep impossible, No breakfast available until Thursday. Breakfast only served from 9 am . Most people have to be at work before then.

Great little gem in Melbourne! Perfect location; spotless premises; and, clean comfortable rooms! Staff we’re also very accommodating and helpful!

Beautiful bijou hotel, fantastic helpful and pleasant staff and great restaurant. Main disadvantage was the bedroom situ

Its central location in the town centre, parking facilities, beautiful bathroom and bedroom. Tea & coffee making facilities available too.

My only criticism stopping my rating being higher was that £95 without breakfast was steep and as room 1 was over the bar/restaurant I could hear music pounding from downstairs.

Superb

Have stayed here before and what a difference a different room made. The location is excellent and the bar food in the evening was superb. They don't offer breakfast during the week. Free onsite parking which is so convenient.

It would have been great to have had breakfast but other than that it was a perfect stay.

the beds are comfortable, very clean rooms, and there’s an additional heater in the room for extra cold nights.

small rooms so hard to unpack suitcase. no warning about the restaurant being closed. the landing up to the hotel rooms smells of toilet.

room wasn’t in a hotel. room was across the road in a little terrace house. fire doors were fierce and there was lots of door slamming from the other two rooms.

The staff were very pleasant and friendly. The food at Harpurs was also very good

Our room wasn't in the hotel - it was down the street in a modern house. No double glazing so it was very noisy. The pillows weren't very comfortable either
