Basic stay

Reception staff on arrival were lovely. The hotel was clean and well presented from Reception area

I booked a family room - the two children were going to be on the sofa bed which was only a little bigger than a single. We went for breakfast at 9.50 am and there was no hot food left....the staff informed us no more food was coming out and we should have been down earlier. Breakfast was supposed to be served until 10am! The Breakfast waitress was quite rude

Quiet surroundings..

The breakfast was too standard, bacons and sausages were not so good. The food at the restaurant bar was very bad and it took so long until we get the food. Such a pity.

I think it's cheeky to charge parking when you're a paying guest. It was discounted, which was nice, but it just feels a bit sour.

Good value for money. Happy to use again next time.

Breakfast was included, and it starts at 6.30 which was a major bonus as we have early starts. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Room was clean. Plenty of spaces for parking. Good location, very close to city centre.

A few outlets for USB plugs but not enough old fashion electric sockets. Room was very tight, however, we needed the sofa bed for a child. Also, on our second nights we had some families that let their children running riot in the corridor making so much rackets. Loud banging noise and screaming child that went on for some time in rooms next door. We assumed they were part of the group. It was very distracting as we had to get up early the next day. Not really hotel fault, although we wished that those families were placed elsewhere in the building.

Was very convenient for us as we were going on a trip from the station.

It was close to the train station and was clean and very convenient, staff very helpful good choice for breakfast

Room was a little tired and on the small side there were no drawers which was a little inconvenient but we only stayed 2 nights. There was also a door which was locked but appears to connect to the adjacent room I didn’t like that.

Great location for Derby Arena, restaurants nearby, nice welcome, comfortable beds, breakfast was plentiful.

Hotel clean. And value for money. £75 for the both of us you can't beat that.

Breakfast was nice but no individual yoghurt pots or porridge pots. Natural yoghurt just dumped in a bowl as well as marmalade and jam exposed in bowls not very hygienic. Cereal hard to get to when there is a queue for hot food.

Very nice, I travelled from Cornwall to watch the RAMS and will be coming again in the New Year.

Difficult to find the right road to the hotel when walking from the train station. Breakfast good. Reception friendly. No newspapers available. Clean.

I needed to stay an extra night which seemed to cause a slight difficulty. Bar prices expensive. No newspaper.

A good quality no-surprises hotel

Our room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very good - all the hot food was indeed nice and hot which is often not the case for hotel buffet breakfasts.

The evening food menu was very limited though of good quality.

The showers were easily accessible

in the restaurant there was an hour wait for a pizza .We ordered a carry out .

Nothing wrong with the premises or the staff but surely the kitchen staff should be able to keep up with hot breakfast r

Spacious, clean & comfortable room. Pleasant and helpful staff.

Inadequate supply of hot breakfast items. eg : Saturday morning 8.00am - no scrambled egg, no bacon, no sausage. Waited 10min for top up.

A half decent breakfast would have made a massive difference.

Room great, bed great, probably the worst breakfast experience I have ever had.

Breakfast was dreadful. Dry hard bacon, shrivelled sausage, cold beans, dry baps and no eggs/tomatoes/mushrooms/hash browns. No staff to to talk to. The hotel itself was great and room perfect, shame the experience was let down badly by the breakfast.

Cramped both in the buffet serving area and the seating area. The selection of food was very disappointing. Worst sausages I've ever tasted plastic. No bacon,mushrooms, tomatoes or black pudding. 10 minute queue for toast.

Breakfast was good. The lighting in the room could have been brighter. Disappointed had to pay for parking.

There needed to be more staff for evening meal too. Lots of people wanted to eat and there wasn't the staffing on to cope. Some were turned away or a long wait.

Bed was comfy,clean room,lots of tea and coffee sachets, bathroom was lovely and clean and lovely complimentary shampoo and body wash ,great location for train station and city center,

Breakfast was disappointing,no rolls,no bacon,large ques for one coffee machine,could of been more variety of hot food,and maybe have a separate toaster for customers as large que,staff looked stressed as could only see two on floor doing everything
