ÍThe breakfast is very good, with wide selection ( You can ask fried eggs or scrambled eggs), and a lot of sweet cakes and fresh veggies fruits. They gave as a bus card to use the local bus system free (except on the seiser alm). So it was perfect we enjoyed every moments.
At the street front rooms the morning starts early by shop services get they things dropped.

The Hotel zum Wolf is a fantastic little hotel in Castelrotto/Kastelruth. It is very clean, well organized and efficient. The breakfast is amazing and the rooms are very comfortable.
The bar area is really nice as well. It’s the perfect gathering place after a day’s hike.
The location is perfect - just up from the small bus station and it has excellent parking. Since this is Northern Italy German is spoken here along with English. Rick Steve’s says this hotel is “neat as a pin” and that is the perfect description.
The room includes a free bus pass that can be used to get to a huge number of excellent hikes nearby.
It would be nice if the windows had screens. There are few bugs, but it’s hard to leave a window open all night when an odd mosquito or two could get in.

Very friendly staff. Good breakefast, and exceptional service. The rooms were nice and clean. We also got free parking in the backyard. The town was very cozy.
Nothing.

Like everything except breakfast.
I don’t know, everyone said the breakfast is great in the past reviews, but I found the breakfast is lack of variety, very limited choices.

This beautiful historic hotel is modern and beautiful. It is ideally located in this sweet little fairy tale village. The bus station is nearby and guests are given passes for free use of them and several of the gondola lifts. Beatrice was a perfect host and very helpful. The breakfast was fabulous. Everything was comfortable and we appreciated the elevator! We had a sweet view of the meadows and a balcony also.
We have no negatives.

We were upgraded to a comfort room with two balconies and views on both sides of the Dolomites. Location was super convenient to banks, stores for picnic items, and the bus where you can travel quickly to Ortisei or to Seiser Alm. Breakfast was hearty, room was very clean and comfortable; also they have self service laundry capabilities for €7 a load. The hotel is in the center of Old Town so it is pleasant to walk in the evenings.

Great location. Very nice staff. Beautiful bar and lounge area.
Unfortunately there was a very loud group staying at the property who partied very loudly until 4 am. Including yelling, signing and even playing instruments at 3 am. Normally in a hotel there are guidelines about noise and someone there to enforce them. We go almost no sleep.

super cute place, and huge room! gave us plenty of space to spread out, and parking was easy. staff was wonderful, and breakfast was great!
only downside was that something in the middle caused us all to have allergy flair ups! there was an apothecary across the street but our allergies were out of control here.

The staff was professional and extremely kind! The lady at the reception even helped us carrying luggages and baby stuff up to the room!
The breakfast is also exceptional, plenty of options for everyone and fresh baked cakes.
The location is very central in Castelrotto, and very well connected to other major ski and hiking destination.
The room was spacious and clean, with a nice balcony over the city center.

The location of this hotel was great. We had a room with a balcony that looked out at the mountains and made for enjoyable place to relax after a day of hiking. The room was huge with a couch and table and chairs. The staff were most helpful. At breakfast, be sure to ask for eggs prepared as you like. The front door was 50 meters away from a very nice grocery store with a wide selection of wine and snacks. Very walkable area. Very close to a number of good restaurants. Would definately recommend this property.
HINT: If you arrive by bus, you can take the bus to the Casselrotto/Kastelruth transit station and come in the back door of the hotel.
The bus station was below our room and during the day that got a little busy. On the positive note, this is where you caught the bus for the tram to the mountain hiking.

The location is great, in the center of the town and directly in front of the main bus station. They give you a free bus pass to travel from the bus station in Castelrotto, to the base of the lift for Alpe di Siusi. The breakfast (included) was great, with so many different items available.
Nice shower, comfy bed.
Really great value!

The manager helped us with our daily plans. It snowed on the day we were going to Alpe de Siusi. We went anyway with her help to figure it out even though the views were limited. She also helped us plan our drive to Cortina a scenic route. She made everything easier for us and spoke excellent English.

I love the European flair above the breakfast the furniture and decor and the service it was all awesome! I especially love the banquette. 😃. SR photo.
I am all for conserving electricity but the motion sensitive lights in the hallways may be a little bit dangerous for those who are elderly or perhaps don’t see well in the dark until you get used to venturing a little bit into the darkness to find the switch to trigger the lights and then turning them on. Other than that nothing else everything else was fantastic!

The location in the town was excellent, and the staff were very accommodating with us travelling with a baby - breakfast was very nice and the lady managing the hotel made great local recommendations to explore the area
