This was my favorite place on our trip. The facility was amazing. Our room was upgraded by Booking.com. The hotel is run by family and they were great. Gabriela spoke the best English so we depended on her the most. She was so helpful and kind to us. David our server was also great. We looked forward to seeing him at our meals. We opted to have dinner and happy hour at the spa and it was a great value!
I really can't say anything bad about this place. I would definitely stay here again.

My experience was exceptional. The best aspect of my stay was the excellent food for dinner, and the outstanding hospitality shown by the restaurant staff. Also, the bus stop for getting to the skiing resort was only a few steps away from the hotel. Awesome!

A charming alpine hotel, with a very friendly, welcoming staff. Location just out of the busy part of town kept nighttime noise down--the backyard is already cow pasture country suitable for easy walks. The hotel supplied complementary bus passes, so access to Seceda and Alpe de Siusi lifts was very convenient without a car. The restaurant was wonderful--buffet breakfasts, and the evening meals featured regional dishes that were interesting and delicious. Complimentary hiking poles.
The inexpensive rooms don't have the great views shown on the website, and our balcony was 4' wide fronting a gravel parking garage rooftop, the main view dominated by neighboring rooftops. The view from the room is of particular importance to us, so this was unfortunate.

Great environment and very friendly staff. Food was excellent and were very kind to accommodate different diet requirement. Facilities were also very good.
Almost nothing! All was great and if you had any problem or issues they were super helpful in fixing it.

I enjoyed relaxing at the wellness center, especially during rainy weather. The hotel served afternoon tea and snacks. Both breakfast and dinner had a large buffet. The hotel was a short walk from the historic center. The staff gave me a free ticket for the chairlift. Great hiking trails are located nearby.
Parking can be tight for larger vehicles. It wasn't a problem for me since I have a small car.

Great place to stay in Kastrlruth with versatile spa options (3 saunas, 2 jacuzzi, pool) , great view over Apls from spa and restaurant. Very birght and clean rooms, breakfast and dinner were great, with many meal options and tea and snacks at 16 for free as a bonus:) Great location - short walking distance to bus station from which we could get to Alpe di Siusi and Bolzano (free bus tickets provided). Staff is very welcoming and helpfull. Highly recommended!

The staff was exceptionally friendly. Whether it was talking to them in bad Italian or German, they were polite all the same. the wait staff in the restaurant were exceptionally friendly and personable. We had the half-board, so we had dinner in the restaurant five nights in a row and it was never monotonous. Even the salads and antipasto changed up every night. We also benefited from the free bus ticket to travel to the Alpe di Suis and the pass for the ski lift to the top of the mountain behind the hotel.

The room was spacious and clean, breakfast was fine, easy parking in place.
Some of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful ( a special mention to Mariagrazia who made us feel so welcome and would be the main reason for coming back here)......some other a bit less.
We found the bed very hard and we didn't sleep good.
Issues should be handled a bit better: for instance, this is an hotel with a high level of recurrent guests, some waiters dedicated almost all their attentions to them and almost ignored us until we went to the reception to complain. Obviously we are not speaking about Mariagrazia.
We didn't have body shampoo facility replaced for three days and we had to ask twice the reception for help.... they were in panic as they didn't know were to find it.... disappointing for a 4 star hotel.
Dinner was sometimes very good, sometimes incredibly boring: fried eggs with baked potatoes as main vegetarian dish and yogurt as dessert was our last dinner.... for the first dish we had some issues, as the waiters ignored us for almost half an hour while they brought to other usual guests that arrived after us the first and the main dish..... so they put it on the table as we were complaining by the reception... no comment.
