お風呂食事がとても良かったです。食事スタッフも気が利いてました。
部屋のエアコンが、臭くて不快でした。空気清浄機を使用しても臭いました。それだけが残念でした。

The room and the areas are OK.
Very limited breakfast options for Europeans, only fish at 8am...
I asked the invoice at the check out but they refuse to provide it and now aren't reply to my messages (and booking.com assistance). It's something very simple to provide but they are showing their lack of hospitality and a very bad management.

The Japanese experience is the most we liked.
The outdoor spa is not really good, small and doesn't look clean...

The environment, breakfast/dinner, staff, onsen and bottomless milk/drinks/ramen are allllll good
The rooms in the main building are a little bit smelly, otherwise all good
4.3
The rooms are clean and the beds/futon were comfortable.
The food is great and there is even ramen provided for supper.
Staff is friendly and approachable as well.

rall experience I had in Mizunoto was great for its pricing.
Location is a little too remote but do not fret, they have transport from Kowakudani Station.

Outstanding, fresh breakfastand dinner. Fantastic variety of onsen available. Highly accommodating staff. English support available!
Room had mold and signs of damage.
4.3
The hotel was nice looking and located in a nice area
included breakfast and dinner were not of high quality, the onsen was very plain for such an expensive hotel. The price tag just didn't match what was received.

Lovely property

x7 onsen on site!
Too much food!

Our overall experience was great.
The hotel has two buildings (the main one and an older one). Our room was in the older building and that was not an issue - even though you may notice some items are a little worn down by regular use. The room was really clean and had a great view of the trees. I suppose the rooms in the newer building should be even better.
The onsen was great, and looked pretty new (probably was renovated recently).
The food was the highlight of our stay, everyone really enjoyed both the dinner and the breakfast.
The slippers are "one size fits all" and were not so comfortable. Just a minor detal, but I guess it's worth mentioning.

We loved the onsen. Especially the private onsen and the atmosphere in the rain and the forrest. So beautiful. The rooms were small but adequate and had everything you needed. The beds were very comfortable. The food was exceptional and the waiters serving the dinner were especially knowledgeable and their English was good.
More English spoken by reception staff for information on how to access onsen's and tourist attractions would have been very beneficial

The property was absolutely beautiful from the outside. I couldn't find this info directly on their listing, but they did send a message after booking that they offer a free shuttle from Kowakidani station to their property which was extremely convenient. When I went, the shuttle ran from 2-5 PM and comes back to the station about every 10 minutes. They have a nice little souvenir shop in the lobby and plenty of seating.
My mother and I stayed in a room with a private hot open-air bath. In addition to the public onsen, they also offer 4 different private hot springs which are available on a first come first serve basis. Milk and yakult are free and available at different times of day. Our room was very spacious and clean, and in typical Japanese fashion came with all the bathroom amenities you could need as well as a tea set, tea snacks, and items to make your own pourover coffee. Some areas of the room did seem a little dated/older, but clearly everything has been kept very clean. The beds were extremely warm and comfortable with the slightly chilly mountain air. The private bath was a wooden style tub located on the deck, and we were provided a cedar block and a whole yuzu to put into the water. The view was gorgeous from the bath!
For dinner you can choose between bbq or hotpot style, and one of two set mealtimes. Dinner was a fairly traditional Japanese kaiseki style dinner. It was one of the most gorgeous and meticulously prepared meals we've had, but taste-wise was fairly average. One thing is for sure though, they feed you a staggering amount of food. We both loved the traditional Japanese style breakfast though! They apparently offer free ramen at the restaurant in the evening after a certain time, but even with choosing the earliest mealtime we were too stuffed to even consider ramen.
They provide comfortable jinbei pajamas to wear, but yukata cost an additional fee to rent. It is not as convenient to get around by bus in the area as it is in larger cities so if you plan to take any trips to tourist spots you may need to wait a little longer for a bus and they are also very crowded with tourists. Food was gorgeous, but the dinner will probably not be the tastiest thing you eat in Japan.

Beautiful setting, amazing private outdoor onsen, great meals, easy access to Hakone Tozan train, super accommodating and conscientious of pregnancy dietary needs.
Some mold in the shower

The restaurant is smoky and food is not good quality

The meals were very good and had English speaking staff that were very helpful. The rooms are very nice with a private outdoor bath.
The only issue at this Ryokan was the private baths we two few for who many people are staying at the resort. The water temp for the onsen's were to low. As well as build quality of the private onsen's did not match the price per night.

Good service, delicious food, nice view.
None.

- Staff is friendly, though not many of them speak English. We got by with using Google Translator.
- Easy to get to. We took 2 different ways to get there from a bus stop—one was downhill and one was uphill. It wasn’t as bad as other ryokans I saw around.
- They offer a shuttle which was helpful getting to and from the hotel.
- The room was big and clean.
- They had little free treats and snacks throughout the day.
- The grounds, though small, were nice.
- Even though we stayed in the “new” building, everything still felt very outdated.
- The food didn’t seem like anything special. It was a good variety but nothing really wowed us.
- We had a really terrible dinner service—the worst on our entire trip to Japan.

The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Both the building and the bedroom were very comfortable and above all very beautiful and scenographic.
The traditional dinner was a very nice experience.
The choice of both dinner and breakfast was very restricted and limited to what was served by the staff.
4.3
it’s a nice property but they were under construction so the main bath was unavailable. though they tried to make up for it, I think this rating would probably be excellent if we had been able to experience it. The food was both superb and plentiful.
it was a little hard to navigate. directions to get to local sites could’ve helped. wish that there was more than one masseuse as it was challenging to schedule 3.

property is very beautiful in a wonderful location. If you are not familiar with the area, it is very hard to find because it is not accessible via public transportation. they do offer a free shuttle bus from one of the stations but I have no idea what station that was and if it was a train station or a bus station so I did not find the shuttle until the end of my trip.
what I didn’t like about the property was that the directions to get to the property are hard to follow. The transit buses and bus stops are far away and the hotel is located in a steep slope. When I enter the information in Google maps, I got stuck in a cemetery by the hotel anyway it was very scary because I couldn’t get out and I didn’t know how to find a hotel because the, only way to get in touch with the hotel was by calling it and there was no messaging with them.
4.3
Close to the Ninotaira bus station (It may be hard for non-Japanese travellers to locate the bus stop from the Odawara train station, but there are station staff who can help). There is also a free shuttle bus service from Kowakidani bus station.
Delicious food!!
Nice and relaxing onsen that wasn't crowded (especially when I went during other people's dinner time)
Friendly staff at the hotel who helped answered my questions.

Beautiful ryokan. The food was absolutely exceptional - delicious, fresh, and cooked to perfection. Great service by the wait staff and reception. Private bath on balcony was lovely, and so were the shared baths and gardens. Very quiet and peaceful. Souvenir shop had some nice items. Free shuttle bus to the train station
Might be a little difficult to find from the train station. Most things such as bath etiquette and what is in the food are written or explained in Japanese only (at least to us, the staff may speak English too)
4.3
The private onsens are always very good
the atmosphere of the onsen
They should really put down the third private onsen (the oval tub) and rebuild it in a similar way to the other two.
4.3
Love the food [dinner and breakfast] and the staff friendliness. What was great for dinner was the fact that they offered all you can drink for 90 minutes. Rooms are just a tad dated but good overall and the outdoor bath is amazing. I also loved the fact that you don't have to book the private onsen [first come, first served].
I would have loved an English menu, not to order but more to know what we're eating.
The room just a bit dated.
The hotel is not as remote or isolated as it seems - this can also be a positive.
AC/Heating unit was loud.
4.3
Wonderful staff who did not have a lot of English but we’re always so helpful. Onsens were great and I enjoyed my stay very much
Long walk up a big hill with bags on arrival was not fun
