EVERYTHING. Weather was disappointing because it was raining; thus, not able to see any stars but I loved everything about it.

I went on a full day jeep tour yesterday and stayed in their camp last night, and the whole experience was excellent! The location is fantastic and one of the guides showed me the route up the mountain behind the camp where you can watch a stunning sunset.

My family had an amazing stay in Wadi Rum Beduin camp. Khaled organized our trips from Aquaba to his camp and from the camp to Petra and back to Aquaba. We enjoyed the sunset from the rocks near the camp and had a delicious dinner and breakfast there. From the Wadi Rum tourist center we had a jeep safari. Our driver Yazon was an amazing guide and entertainer. He took us to the main landmarks in Wadi Rum desert and and was a great companion. The jeep safari and stay in Wadi Rum camp was something that my family will never forget.

Breakfast and dinner were good. The tent and sanitary facilities were also good considering you're in the desert: they are clean and equipped. Don't forget to charge any devices you want to use there upfront and/or consider bringing a powerbank.
Great view on the sunset in the evening and most of the staff was very friendly.
When making the reservation, we chose this camp a.o. for its location being close to the village. While the description correctly mentions the location being remote, the location on the map suggests otherwise. (our mistake)
So: you cannot drive your own car to this camp, you must book a transfer.
The camp properly sent us an informative email upfront about the possible excursions and asked us for a pickup time. Due to personal circumstances we didn't find the time to respond. In retrospect I wish that we did, because this pressed the mood for what should have been a cool stay in the desert…
During our trip around Jordan we learned that the rates of the excursions offered here were quite high and we were offered a cheaper alternative. So we simply booked a cheaper Jeep tour elsewhere and (without wanting to bother our host with it) informed when we'd like to be picked up to go to the camp. Upon arrival at the agreed time & location, we first had to face the fury of our host who found out about our trip with a competitor and we were then suddenly faced with a steep transfer price (30 JD) we had to pay on top of the reasonable room rate of (55 JD). Totally in contrast with the Jordanian friendliness and hospitality we experienced by most others throughout the country…
Since you have no alternative and you don't want to (further) upset the guy taking you into the desert we decided to just pay the extra amount. I am glad we brought enough cash.
To our opinion it would have been more transparant if the mandatory transfer price would have been included in the room rate or mentioned in the description. His claim: if we'd book one of his (expensive) jeep tours then the transfer would have been included.
We also saw the same guy be friendly to other guests, so if you want to stay here and are happy to pay more than just the listed rate I'm sure you could have a good time here.
