Superb

really nice appartement with pleasant pool and friendly owner. Goid wirking air co is a must. Extremely quiet except a few dogs from the neighbours. Only limited challenge is to reach city center when parking the car us a challenge.

We were looking for a restful break that we got, once we had got the local knowledge of the area.

Property owners have made very good attempts at making this property accessible to a wheelchair user.

No information on how to get to and forth from the property and what is available to see and do in the area.

Pool Hosts were friendly and helpful Everything was very clean and tidy Beautiful views

Nothing but I would definitely recommend hiring a car if you can.

very satisfied with the accommodation, the location in relation to Olhao, shops and beach ferries

Very friendly and caring host and his wife. On arrival we received a lovely bottle of wine. The room was cleaned daily by a nice lady. The bathroom had a good shower and toilet. The kitchen was equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, 2 burner stove and all necessary crockery and cutlery. The room was large enough with a comfortable sofa, dining table and large closet. Lovely terrace at the room with a beautiful view of the coast. The pool was lovely despite the water being a bit cold in mid October.

6 day break on Ria Formosa

Extremely clean apartment, lovely saltwater pool and very convenient for the Ria Formosa reserve. Really welcoming hosts.

Exceptional value — The perfect base to explore the Algarve.

We had a great and relaxing stay in the company of superhosts Mr Alberto and his wife. The property is very charming and located in a nice quiet part of town, minutes walk from the Formosa Natural Park and downtown Olhão (with its restaurants, beautiful farmer's market, and ferry boats that take you to all the beach islands). Olhão is also perfectly located near several other lovely Algarve towns to visit within a short drive. Our room was spacious, clean and private, with a well equipped kitchen, fast internet, and sunny balcony with views to the ocean and islands. Great for having outdoor breakfast and meals. Mr. Alberto and his wife were super friendly and helpful with easy communication — sharing tips on restaurants, things to visit, and how to catch clams at the beach. The property has parking space and a fantastic sheltered pool to relax at the end of the day after returning from the beach. We already tried to return and extend our stay, but unfortunately there were no vacancies at the time. Will definitely return again next year!

Only that we couldn't stay longer.

Certainly somewhere different .......but in a good way

We chose this place as it was in easy walking distance of the Parc Naturale do Rio Formosa. Great afternoon was spent there, very interesting bird life and great coastal views. We were met by the owner a charming man who we realised was French so if French is your language come here. A very interesting property, stacked full of furniture that could have come from a wonderfully elegant Paris apartment. (Maybe it did). easy to find the house is at the very end of Cidade de Paris. No breakfast but we had an early start to the Airport, very easy and quick journey.

Good

The Ocean Oasis “Residence Suites” were unexpectedly in a couple’s home! They‘d just finished converting rooms in their large, beautiful, 5-bedroom home into “suites.” Ours (#2, I think) consisted of a bedroom, bathroom & kitchen, all of which were nice-sized and well-furnished. The home also had a large and lovely back yard, w/ a salt-water pool, complete w/ lounge chairs, umbrellas, etc. And, the yard backed up to, & even had a gate that opened into, the huge, protected “Nature Park of Ria Formosa.” We wished we’d been able to stay longer so we could hike in the park & relax by/in the pool. The husband & wife owners were very nice & helpful. They even invited us to join them for after-dinner wine & snacks in theIr back yard, along w/ another couple that was staying there, and this was an absolutely wonderful experience. Finally, while there were downsides to this (see below), upon our arrival, the husband even drove us around and gave us a tour of the town, which was very nice of him.

As noted above, the suite was very nice, but there was a notable exception - the bed was very uncomfortable & should be replaced. There were only two other notable downsides to this accommodation. One was that it’s not w/in walking distance to the main waterfront restaurant/shop area of Olhão. But...it’s relatively close and one can readily drive or Uber there. Second, the owners were actually a bit too enthusiastic, perhaps because they’d just opened 2 wks before our stay. They were understandably proud of their new “Residence Suites” & their town. So...upon our arrival, they gave us a tour of their home...and then the husband insisted on driving us around to give us a tour of the town. As noted above, this was a very nice thing for him to do. However, we were never given a chance to first get settled in our room or get cleaned up from our travels. Also, he drove a bit too fast and it was hard to communicate with him, as he spoke little English and we spoke little Portuguese or French. Thus, with respect to the last point, we didn’t always know what he was trying to show/tell us. Also, later in the tour, it took a long time for us to communicate that we wanted to be dropped off at one of the good restaurants he kept pointing out, so we could have dinner...as it got progressively later and we got progressively hungrier. Importantly, this was a very nice accommodation...and just a small number of relatively small changes would make it an excellent one (i.e., a new, comfortable bed; some modifications to the town tour - specifically, a chance to settle in & clean up first, slowing down, & bringing the wife along, as she spoke English).

Hospitality at its best!!!

The staff were super hospitable. We arrived with kids and the rooms were ready before check in. Kids swam in a salt water pool which was very clean and beautifull. Our hosts offered us wine and snaks as part of the stay. We drank local wine and trully felt at home.

We loved our stay.
