About this house rental
The house is situated in Poinciana Village, 4 Miles from the Naples beaches. For the golf enthusiast there are over 50 golf courses in the area.
All windows and doors have been replaced with hurricane windows. After hurricane Irma we lost the front lanai and replaced it with the screened-in lanai in the back. We replaced the roof due to the severe damage caused by the storm. We have now replaced also the front screened-in Lanai.
The house has 3 bedrooms, the master bedroom has a king bed, the other two are queen beds. Linens are available, but you can also bring your own. There are two bathrooms one with shower and one with a bathtub. A converted garage serves as additional bedroom with a queen size futon. A tile floor replaced the wall to wall carpet in all rooms. Internet and TV are available. A spacious living room with dining room invites you to relax. In-ground Pool, terrace and front screened in lanai make the outdoor fun complete. The yard is completely fenced in.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a full size refrigerator & freezer, glass top stove, microwave oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, mixer and toaster. Washer and dryer are available.
Tennis courts, basketball court and children's playground is within Poinciana Village in walking distance - free of charge. 3rd Ave & 5th Ave are only a short drive away. Despite the damage Hurricane Irma had caused, the house is ready for your vacation. A new roof and repaired fence got the property back in order. Hurricane Ian did not cause any damage in 2022 except for broken branches.
In 2023 the pool was totally resurfaced with new drains and skimmers. Swimming will now be even more fun.
Things to do: The house has a walkway through a flower garden with tropical plants as additional attraction. The Naples beaches are a special treat for the visitor. There are many possibilities to access the beaches. Kayaking and surfing are popular sports besides swimming and sun bathing. The sunset over the Gulf of Mexico is always spectacular.
A short drive from the house are Tin City, 3rd Ave with old Naples and 5th Ave with wonderful restaurants, bars and shops. For birding enthusiasts Corkscrew Sanctuary at 375 Sanctuary Road West is a must see.
Close by are Marco Island, Sanibel Island with the J. N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge and Captiva Island. To the South lies the Everglades National Park, where alligators and lots of other wildlife can be seen.

Beautiful home, they provide everything you need! Pool cold even though weather hot. Owner very accommodating

Needs Updates and cleaning
The location was very good . Easy access to Tin City, 5th Ave , dining and beaches. Pool has no heat so to cold during winter with temps in 50-60 range at night . Everything except living room sofa appears to be very old . Toaster and Toaster oven are old and baked on grime - throw away and spend for new. Refrig is 20 plus years and grime in bottom and nooks -needs replacement.
The routine clean is ok and owners says can order and pay for more cleaning . The issue is never deep clean so grime , dust and dirt on top of all baseboards , tile edges ., door corners , light switches - needs a professional deep clean . The price reflects these negatives but we won’t be back to rent again . Have never given bad review because sympathetic to owners trying to rent but in this case renters need to know .

Enjoyed the stay but need to get some better sheets for the bed. Big Lots sheets would not stay securely on mattress!

Nice home, quiet neighborhood
Enjoyed our stay in this Home. Quiet area close to many restaurants and shopping. The edition has a small park if you have children. Nice pool but unheated was not warm enough in our early March visit for us to feel comfortable to swim but all day sun was available. A nice screened in porch is attached to house by pool The Murphys were a nice couple to work with and pictures were accurate. Felt price paid was reasonable. Would have stayed at house next year but time slot for our vacation time was blocked out

It was a nice place to come back too after our daily adventures. We made many lasting memories!
Overall we had no problems, however you might look into replacing the grill because it seemed to be quite rusty. We brought a problem with the dishwasher to the owners attention and they looked into it promptly. We would encourage others to stay here!

Holiday vacation
When we got there we had a small issue but the manager was there within minutes to take care of it. It is a little outdated but you can see that in the pictures overall for the price it was a great place :)

I loved our stay at this house. The owners were very accommodating!
I would definitely recommend this house. The owners answered their phone every time I called with any questions at all. Pictures are accurate. Although we didn’t have any babies there was a crib and many extra items any family would need. I highly recommend this house to rent!

Comfortable, convenient to downtown Naples, beaches and all parts of Naples and the surrounding area
Great vacation spot for a weeks stay in Naples. Backyard pool was a hit with everyone and a nice quiet spot to have available at our convenience. Had a couple BBQ meals on the grill at the house, but so easy to get anywhere from the old port of Naples right up to the beach by Lowdermilk Park in minutes, it was a perfect get away. House was clean, well furnished and comfortable for 3 adults and 2 kids, room for more! Easy owner to work with and totally smooth experience from planning to departure!

We enjoyed swimming in the pool and sitting in the lanai eating dinner and having a glass of wine as it was very quiet and relaxing to finish the day. the house is well situated as it is close to downtown and the beaches and also near the highway for day trips. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back

We had a great time and everything was perfect for our vacation. A nice quiet and safe neighborhood and a beautiful pool right out the backdoor to relax and swim. it is also conveniently located with a short drive to the beach, downtown and the highway for day trips. We would recommend this house for people looking to enjoy the area of southwest florida. the kitchen was fully furnished with almost anything you could want for cooking.

Home away from home
This house was perfect for us. Our two families ( 4 Adults, 1 teenager and 2 children) stayed here comfortably. The place was well kept, and provided basic tools so that we could prepare some simple meals at home. There was plenty of room in each bedroom, and a comfortable living room area. It is conveniently located from the grocery store, so that was nice. We definitely would book this location again if we went back down and it was available. I recommend it. Site owners are responsive, and the handyman apparently lives next door (he apparently was away on vacation till our last day) so... convenient convenient convenient.
Tip? Open and check the cabinets. Some of the prior residents may have left things behind you could use (like coffee... or shaving cream?? )

Great location! Accommodates a group!
It is clear that the homeowners are making improvements - on a gradual basis - to this older property. The location of this property is the best thing about it - close to stores, beaches, and restaurants. It is obviously a home that welcomes families with children! House is located in a quiet neighborhood.
The master bedroom is lovely with large walk in closet, newly tiled floors. master bathroom has a new shower stall with handheld nozzle option. Bed in Master Bedroom was fluffy and comfy. Other guest bedroom mattresses were on the firm side, as were the older, flat bed pillows. All bed linens were clean. All bath towels and washcloths were brand new.
The unheated pool was clean, but too cold at 70 degrees to swim in during March. Screened in lanai was wonderful for outdoor reading, eating, sitting. Lounge chairs by pool were comfy for sunbathing.
Living room is bright and its furniture was comfortable. Dining room had large table and 6 chairs - furniture a bit large for the area as it was hard once someone sat down to get by them. The good thing about this big table was it was a great place to play cards and board games!
Several overhead fans had older, rusty chains - were dirty and off balance so they squeaked.
I emailed the homeowners to suggest that they leave more coat hangers in closets, install a full length mirror, put decent bedside lamps in guest bedrooms and include two larger waste baskets in kitchen. Homeowner responded that those were good suggestions!
Kitchen was well stocked with appliances and accessories for cooking at home. I imagine it would be hard to get this kitchen sparkling clean because the counter-tops were made with old/small tiles with grouting between them which is not ideal for cleanliness. However, if you plan to eat most meals in restaurants this wouldn't be an issue! Kitchen towels and sponges were old, stained, needed to be replaced. It looked like the floors had been mopped with an old dirty mop, and perhaps not vacuumed prior to mopping because there were hairs, lint and dirt visible.
I suggested that they hire a "professional" cleaning service.

great weather, well furnished, clean home with all amenities
We really enjoyed our stay, everything was great, house was very clean and well situated not far from the beach or downtown and also the highway for day trips. Having a pool just outside your door was fantastic as the weather was warm and we could swim daily. We took advantage of the free tennis courts in the complex. It was a great overall vacation for our family.

Full of dead cockroaches, the house smells like it has been for so long close, two days with not internet and tv cable, the tv cable just works on the main tv. Very outdated, the renting price was so high for the house expectations.

We stayed here during Spring Break and enjoyed it immensely. The weather was beautiful and the palm trees were elegant. Naples, Florida is a must if you are visiting South Florida! We saw the Florida Panthers hockey team in Sunrise, FL and the BB & T Center arena was breathtaking. There is a Cracker Barrel nearby for some delicious home cooked southern cuisine.
We found the neighbourhood to be very quiet and close to downtown Naples and all stores for supplies. We would definitely come here again and would recommend this house to anyone visiting the Naples area! The house itself was very clean and had an open concept and all the space you could want with all of the supplies you need to cook.

We were so happy when we first opened the door to this house for the first time in 2011. Everything looks and feels so homey. We could find everything we needed. After 5 days we said: We are definitely coming back next year. And we did!! And it only gets better. All you need is your bathing suits and a camera. It is a nice get away for kids and worry free for adults since you can fix a quick dinner at the "has it all" kitchen and throw all your towels and bathing suits in the washer for the next day. This is a great place to visit for sure! A+

This is a nice home. We were pleasantly surprised. The home is supplied with all the things you need to feel at home...e.g. from free internet to the well stock kitchen. This home was so much better than a hotel. We had the space and the freedom, plus our own private pool. The location is great. It is convenient to shopping, dinning, and attractions. The neighborhood is quiet.

This is a great base for people staying in Naples. The house is wonderfully equipped for a rental. (Our second day there we found the child-proof door latches and electrical socket covers.) The pool is fabulous and the house is well maintained. The owner was very professional--answering my questions and quickly returning my deposit. For families, there is a park nearby. Our only caveat is that families with small children should know that the pool does not have its own fence to separate it from the house, so you need to keep an eye on the children who can't swim.
This is an absolutely wonderful house and I'd recommend it to any friend.
