Would stay here again. Budget friendly and has everything you need.

Great little hostel, cheap and perfect for one night. It is simple but has what you need. Air condition was a big plus. Quiet. Host was really helpful. There is an outside kitchen if you wish to cook for yourself. A little way from town but walkable, I would avoid walking alone at night.

The bathroom is for sure a little small but it did not bother me at all.

not a bad place!

not a bad little place - it's really just 3 private rooms with a small kitchen to the side. Not a hostel in the sense of bunks or meeting a lot of people. The air conditioning was really good. The washroom was cramped with the toilet being very close to the wall but to be honest, given the price and location - it was a decent deal. El tunco is so overpriced and touristy. You are robbed for what you get normally, but this place was decent. I would come back if I was visiting the beach

washroom could be a bit more spacious but otherwise, it was good

Good place to stay in El Tunco price/quality wise

-The private room was spacious enough and had a comfortable bed, some furniture and a (strong) fan that did its work perfectly for me -Bathroom ok: a bit small for tall Europeans but doable☺️ shower bit low pressure and only cold water (like everywhere in El Tunco?), but no big problem in the climate over there -WiFi wasn’t working when I arrived due to a by a storm broken cable, but the owner did put many effort in having it fixed and after being fixed the Wifi worked very well -Location a 10 minute walk from the beach and the center of Playa El Tunco -Bus can drop you off approx. 5 minutes from the property -Outside/patio area where you can sit/hang out -There’s a small kitchen you can use -Friendly and helpful owner, many thanks again Andres!

Calme et repos

Un hostel tranquille éloigné du centre touristique. Andres a été adorable et très accueillant. La climatisation est parfaite pour éviter d’avoir trop chaud. Le wifi fonctionnait très bien.

La disposition des toilettes est pas facile pour une personne de grande taille.

Excellent value but for budget travel only

Great deal, working AC, wonderfully nice hosts, zipper sealed locker to keep your bags safe from bugs

Bugs, location (you’re either walking on the shoulder of a major road into town or walking across stones in a creek trying to keep your balance), bathroom has a shower but no sink

Superb

Nice little hideaway outside El Tunco. Area around it felt local unlike the town itself. Rooms were nice and host was very friendly

A comfortable, affordable private room in a guesthouse.

The location is very good. The price is excellent for what you get. The host was very helpful and friendly. He showed us the quickest route to El Tunco centre by crossing a shallow stream with rocks to stand on while crossing. It took less than ten minutes to reach the beach. There are only three rooms in total at this accommodation. It is more like a guesthouse than a hostel. The rooms are comfortable and each one has a private bathroom. I enjoyed chilling in the hammock. The small kitchen is a nice addition too.

Superb

Private room and private bathroom, for the same price as a dorm. The washbasin was outside but that wasn't a problem. Shared kitchen too but I didn't use this. Helpful and kind host. Hammock out the front of the room. Close to some delicious local food, not just pupusas.

Unfortunately there was construction happening on the building right outside my room so there was a lot of duct being blown in. Obviously that shouldn't be a problem for long.

perfect space close to the beach but away from the noise.

it was very close to the beach but far enough away that it was quiet and peaceful. I checked in late and they were accommodating leaving the room ready and open for me. there’s a desk and a hammock as well as great wifi so it’s perfect for digital nomads.

I loved everything but it’s a small locals building so if you want to party and meet people it won’t be for you.

Exceptional

A 5 minute walk from the main area and beach sp peaceful and away from everything u can sit the hammock all day and relax. Room is good size with shower and toilet. Air con unit in there too if needed. The owner was great meeting me on the first night showing me where to get pupusas for $0.50 they were so nice and he also showed me the local shop. This side of town the food and drinks so much cheaper then the main side

Good value option next to El Tunco

Great value for a private room, and the guy that checked me in gave me a little tour of the area and how to get to town

The bathroom is tiny, making it hard to sit on the toilet!

Decent cheap place

This was a cheap place in a super local neighborhood. The staff was really responsive to messages and helpful, though they didn't need to be around much.

The rooms were super hot and it does require walking either on the highway or down a forest path and across a creek that's sometimes knee deep to get into actual El Tunco. Additionally the place is really hard to find. Just so you know, it's on the road parallel to the ocean between the two roads perpendicular to them, not up one of them. I had a lot of trouble finding it at first.

Exceptional

Great great place to stay. I truly recommend it. Prívate room with fan, shower and bathroom. I payed 12$+1$(tax). They were waiting for me upon arrival and had responded very fast to my messages. Andres was super nice too.

Kitchen appliances could be better. but had most of the necessary.

Great host, nice location,

The owners. As soon as I booked the room, I messaged the owners and they responded to me right away. This gave me peace of mind. I couldn’t find the hostal because I had arrived after dark, and the owner came and picked me up. He also helped me verify my taxi to the airport. I love the location! It’s walking distance to El Tunco beach.

The sink is outside the room and there are a lot of mosquitoes as expected in a tropical place. The toilet is in a tight spot.

Amazing value!

Very kind owners. You get incredible value for what you pay for! Just a 7-8 minute walk to the beach (take the creek shortcut), bus stop is nearby, relatively quiet neighborhood. Clean and comfortable room and a great place to relax.

The bathroom is quite small and the sink is outside the room but it’s a minor inconvenience

Private bed & bathroom, comfy bed, great value.

I liked that I felt safe. It was a comfort bed for me. I prefer to have a room with my own bathroom instead of a dorm. The value is excellent. As a solo female traveler This was a perfect place.

For me it was difficult to find at first. The bedsheets kept slipping. But as this was minor. The place is an awesome stay.
