The location is perfect, very close to Grand Via. Room was very clean, and the stuff super friendly. The price for the late checkout was just right.
Our room was a bit noisy, the A/C control was not working, neither the safe inside the closet. When we arrived, the bedding was completely wet. We asked the staff if they could change them and they solved it quickly. Price could be better.

location, bed comfort
single elevator, very slow. We did not buy the breakfast offered for 10.00 euros per person at check-in. 15.00 euros full price. The facilities are not equipped with a kitchen and therefore they only offer a cold breakfast.

Amazing location, near by Gran Via and attractions.
The room was a bit small, but very clean and comfortable beds.

I had a room with a Balcony. It was lovely to sit outside in the morning sun and have my takeaway coffee.

The staff was amazing.
The only issue was the internet speed and maybe adding a scrambled eggs to the breakfast menu would be great.

Comfortable clean hotel in the centre of Madrid. Loved that it was dog friendly too. Also had a great balcony but didn't use it as it was December.

It has a very good location. The stuff was nice. The room was clean.
There was a heavy bad smell in the bathroom since we arrived.
We had also the bad luck to have the window in front of a big cemented wall, so there was no nice view from the window.
The hairdryer was broken, but we called the stuff and they brought us quickly another hairdryer.

Excellent location near subway, quiet, modern facilities, friendly staff, nice room with terrace
Breakfast buffet not worth 7.50 Euros. Triple room was just a double one with extra bed, resulting a bit small

the hotel is in a fantastic location within walking distance of the old centre of Madrid. the staff are exceptional and try really hard to make the stay special
the wi-fi was a nightmare. the staff team tried really hard to solve it but I found it very difficult to access the internet when I needed to. whilst it’s not the main thing I need on holiday, it did make a few things back home a little harder than they needed to be

This hotel is just off the Gran Via in Madrid so the location is excellent. The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was fine but I can't be more enthusiastic. Despite getting an upgrade to a room with a terrace the room was a bit on the pokey side and on one of our two days there the drains smelled very unpleasant. It was fine though as a place to sleep.
Nothing really. As I said above it was perfectly good. The smelly drain was unpleasant but it was only a problem on one of the two days so it doesn't appear to be a permanent fault. The WiFi was a bit slow too but it often is in hotels

We were a family of four (two parents, two teenagers) at the end of a two week, four city trip through Europe. We moved to the Sterling after leaving a disasterous Airbnb two nights early. We booked a family room with four twin beds. The pictures of these rooms make them look much nicer than they are. To be fair, the room was completely functional. The AC was good, the bathroom was a nice size. The room felt, overall, cramped, dark, and a bit worn and frayed. Lighting was okay. The worst, however, (traveling with teens) was that the WIFI was non-existent in room 104. This was rough for two teens at the end of a long trip and at the end of long days.
WIFI in room 104 was non-existent despite attentive help from the desk staff when we checked in. Our second day, the gentleman behind the desk could have cared less. He was also rude to another guest who needed help with the AC in her room and didn't speak Spanish or English well.
