Great location, lovely hotel, fantastic staff.

Very central location, lots of bars, cafes and nearby shops. Close to two direct train lines into London, big bright comfortable room. The breakfast was very good, well priced and in a nice room. The staff were fantastically friendly.

The shower could have been a little better. It lacked power and was difficult to stand under as it was too close to the wall.

Excellent in every way

We had a pleasant welcome at reception. The room was a large overlooking Hertford centre. It had two good sized and comfortable twin beds. The ensuite was clean and modern. The location for central Hertford is excellent.

Tiny hot room and poor customer service

A great central location in a middle of a lovely town.

Tiny, boiling hot room with no aircon, the fan provided couldn't be plaques in anywhere near the bed as there were no sockets and the bed itself was in a small alcove so no space for floor standing fan. I slept maybe 3 hours all together. I addressed my issue with a receptionist and email the hotel. No response, no apologies, nothing. Customer service below standard.

Courteous and friendly staff. Accommodated late checkin requirements. Breakfast was really good. Room was clean and well maintained.

Pleasant

Great location, everything is on the doorstep. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself is nice.

Upon arrival we asked to be moved to a more quiet room as the one we got was above the pub/Street facing. The room we then stayed in was acrually quite quiet, which was brilliant when travelling with a toddler. On the other hand it was quite small for the 3 of us and for price we paid. The biggest disappointment, however, was the shower. The water was barely warm. When we raised it with the staff we were told that it's a normal temperature as its set in an eco mode. In my personal opinion, its far too cold to shower comfortably in a winter, it could be a few degrees higher.

room was comfortable, modern and clean. Nice toiletries.

Loud music, loud people, loud night club, loud party. Lots of hotel clubbers shouting. No sound proof windows. No table available for breakfast, even though hotel was booked before Christmas. We were told to sit propped up high on a bar stool to eat breakfast. Its not your local Bob's cafe/coffee house Its a £142 per night room!! We asked to be moved and we were allowed in the sharing botanical room. We couldn't relax as we had to leave because table was booked (from non guests) for 10am. You should have pub next door for non guests to eat breakfast. Not put them before your £142 a night guests. Definitely will not stay here again or recommend. Even the fact we cant even get close to hotel to carry luggage in. Plus no parking.

The whole deal except for private function in main bar making drinking late difficult staff so very helpful I didn't ask for a quiet room and didn't get one right out the front of the hotel 101 it was very noisy I asked for an extra pillow which I did get so many thanks for that.

It is a huge minus that there are no nearby car parking facilities as it is quite a hike with overnight bags to park in the local car park

A very comfortable and welcoming stay

Breakfast was superb, great selection to choose from, staff were friendly and helpful. The front of house staff, especially Zoe was very helpful and always made things easy. The room was comfortable, lovely soft bed. The location is great for anyone staying in Hertford, near to shops restaurants and the Heritage Trail.
