Exceptional

Our room was beautifully presented and a sitting room was available for use downstairs at any time. Our hosts were very thoughtful and attention to detail was obvious. Breakfast was cooked to order and to perfection each morning.

A little luxury in New Norfolk without the huge price tag.

Explorers Lodge was a delight. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable, had a well appointed meals and lounge area and the hosts were marvellous. The cooked breakfasts were excellent with home preserved fruits and jams as well. A great place to stay in historic New Norfolk.

The best bed and breakfast in Tassie

We had an amazing stay at Explorer’s, the lodge is picture perfect! The room was lovely and incredibly comfortable, every little detail was thought of, and it’s only a short walk to the town centre - and an easy day trip to Hobart or Mt Field National Park. Make sure to stay in for breakfast, it was a highlight! Michael was a wonderful host, highly highly recommend staying here if you’re in or around New Norfolk.

Lovely spot in New Norfolk

Beautiful home, very nicely decorated and maintained. Lovely lounge and sunroom for guests to use. Very nice cooked breakfast. comfortable bed and quiet location.

Bedroom was smaller than expected though beautifully appointed.

An outstanding bed and breakfast! An experience in itself with so many thoughful little touches to enhance your stay. Beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable with a delicious breakfast and friendly and helpful hosts. Plenty of gorgeous areas to sit and relax if you so desire .

There are no downsides to this property!

Beautiful, Exceptional, Delicious. The presentation of our breakfast was beautiful as was the whole home.

It was beautiful, comfortable, very clean and very welcoming. We loved the garden. We loved how the staff serviced us. They were very professional and they made the best breakfast for us. The coffee was the best we may have ever had. The small things like the welcoming port and water available in the sitting rooms for the guests made such a difference. The staff paid attention to the finest details and made it such a lovely stay. And having games available for us was great too. We loved our stay and would very much recommend it.

Lovey weekend retreat, thoroughly enjoyed.

We received such a sincere welcome from Michael(the host) on arrival which set the whole stay up. The ambience of the room was delightful and both the room and bathroom were spotless. Every detail was thought of right down to the home made biscuits. Such a quiet setting. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great stay in New Norfolk.

Beautiful, Luxury accommodation, great friendly service and breakfast

The most beautifully restored and decorated house, with large bedrooms, king beds, great views and awesome service. Michael greeted us and showed us to our rooms and gave us all the local information we needed. Lovely sitting areas for guests and a beautiful garden to wander through. there are fruit trees, vegetables and chooks! Exceptional breakfast with many options and real espresso coffee! Included some produce from garden, including their own preserved fruits. I would highly recommend Explorers Lodge

Exceptional and memorable- we will be back!

Everything! great location- very central to all we had planned and sensational hosts- Michael & Roberto - so welcoming, friendly, amiable & generous; gave us some great tips on places to visit, best driving routes etc.and both brimming with personality. This gorgeous home was impeccably clean; the room offered beautiful garden views; the bed was supremely comfortable with crisp sheets and very good pillows. A delicious breakfast was provided - expertly cooked and beautifully presented, topped off by fresh roses from the garden each morning. Many thoughtful inclusions made our stay very memorable & comfortable - home made biscuits, relishes, jams, Berry compote, fresh eggs, herbs and vegetables from their garden to an array of quality toiletry products.

Such careful attention to interior design! Gorgeous gardens! Delicious breakfasts!

Breakfast was yummy! The eggs were from his chickens which was cool. Excellent service and many options. The river was close by and the gardens were stunning. Port served in lounge after dinner was nice.

The location was far away from any good restaurants, however this is not their fault.

Superb

We loved the house and the friendly hosts. Our room was compact but if we could have had a bigger room it would have been ideal! The breakfast was delicious!

Our room was slightly smaller than we would have liked but because of renovations we could not be moved.

Great Place to Stay

The self contained apartment is part of the main house. It is very well maintained. The house sits in the middle of a huge garden - lots of beautiful flowers!! It was easy to drive out to the Gordon dam.

There are no restaurants to go to for a good evening meal.
