Owner is amazing!

Ideal place to travel around Latrabjark and the southern part of the West Fjords. Not only the puffins, but also the whole landscape, the waterfalls and the beaches are worth a visit. Very friendly host and good dinner. Room was spacious and clean. We have stayed there several times and will surely come back.

The owner is very friendly and welcoming. His wife is also an excellent cook. Fantastic views with nice rooms.
If you are coming to photograph Puffins--this is the place to go to

Carl and his wife were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The location was superb. It is about as close as you can get to the Labrajbar Cliffs. The breakfast was excellent.
There was absolutely nothing to dislike about the hotel. We really appreciated the effort it takes to run this 1950s hotel set in the beautiful countryside. The period furniture was appreciated.

Location remote with dirt road access. Facilities basic

A comfortable, unpretentious hotel. A bit dated overall with updated bathrooms. Quiet, beds comfy. Pretty rural location overlooking fjord. It is about 30-40 minutes to drive to Latrabjarg cliffs. Another hotel is closer but this one seems better value.

Everything was comfortable, clean, friendly, and delicious food.
We were unable to stay for our second booked night, and did not expect to get any refund. However, we asked our host if they could provide us with sandwich lunch the next day, which seemed not unreasonable under the circumstances, since the hotel would receive the extra night's revenue. In the morning, we were told that we could make our own sandwiches from whatever was leftover from breakfast (which wasn't much), and the hotel then charged us for these leftovers. Very poor guest service..

Such a cute hotel in a beautiful location. Clean, comfortable, and the staff was lovely. The home cooked lamb dinner was delicious!

We booked two rooms for the family (2 adults and 2 kids). One room is on the ground floor at backyard, one goes further downstairs also at backyard.
The space of the rooms are good.
Regards Breakfast, I think at this corner of westfjord, we should be satisfied with the offered breakfast.
The host met at breakfast is a kind man. I saw he cared his guests and talked pleasantly with them.
The rooms are outdated.
Since our rooms are at backyard, I guess it requires to open the window to get some fresh air and to avoid the smell since both rooms had their windows open when we got in. Downside was then there were quite many flies in the rooms, hardly had chance to expel them out and that was huge annoying.
There was no place in our bathroom to hang towels even.
No TV available but that's not a problem.

The location was the closest to the cliffs and lighthouse best for viewing the nesting Puffins. The dining room and breakfast were cozy and comfortable and the breakfast items were very tasty.
4.3
- comfortable bed
- clean and new bathroom
- nice area
- no fridge, no TV
- nothing individual in the rooms (paintings etc.)
- just three beds in one small room
- youth hostel character

The hotel staff are fabulously welcoming, and accommodated our every need. The room was large with a great view. The bed was excellent, the best in Iceland.
4.3
Staff was friendly.
Diner was of poor quality meager quantity and I proportionally outrageously expensive.
Breakfast was good. Room was provided with almost transparent curtains that let light in.

The location and hosts were amazing. About a 30 minute drive to the Latrabjarg bird cliffs, which I went to both nights of our stay. The owners/hosts helped us immensely after my mom injured her knee at our previous lodging. They were flexible with our late check-in and helped us figure out how to get to the local hospital on a national holiday during our stay to get her x-rays and a cast. We can't thank them enough!

Place to kiss in the West !
Perfectly friendly staff! Charismatic Landlord!
Rooms to expensive regarding value - for - money!
In the middle if nowhere, if you like loneliness 😊 .

Staff were friendly and responsive. Room was clean and tidy. Close to nature and there were some Sheep/ Ram in the vicinity which was quite entertaining :)
There was a small issue with hot water which was fixed in the morning once we informed the staff. Would have loved a warm breakfast but understandably it is a quiet season at the moment.
