Everything was very nice. Staff friendly and helpful. Really a nice place to stay. Very quiet all night and couldn’t be any cleaner.
Also: our baggage was delayed, the airline delivered the bags to this hotel a few days ahead of us and we were grateful the hotel staff kept them safe and we found the bags waiting for us in our room.

This beautiful apartment was exceeded our expectation. One-bedroom apartment was large, clean and modern, with great kitchen space. There were a lots of artworks & books along the hallway & everywhere. Beds were super comfortable, we used the hot tub and the evening sunset view was great. The host is nice and hospitality. The best hotel we have stayed in Iceland. Highly recommended!

Absolutely fabulous apartments, spotlessly clean & tastefully furnished. The whole hotel complex is beautifully decorated & spotlessly clean.
No lunch/dinner provided at hotel & only one restaurant nearby.

I stayed in the penthouse, which is beautifully decorated, very big and has a large terrace all around and a private hot tube. I highly recommend it.
We were very lucky to see the Northern Lights right from the terrace and from the hot tube. The hotel is remote enough so there is not much light around.
The entire hotel was very nicely decorated and the breakfast was also very nice.
The hosts have been very friendly and helpful.

The hotel was extremely clean and the units large and comfy, had a great view of the lake.
About 15 min out from Akureyi but not bad.

It is a small privately owned boutique-hotel, sophistically furnished with beautiful paintings and interesting library and spacious clean rooms with comfortable beds. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was very good.
Apt. Hotel Hjateyri is an ideal place for those who want to avoid overcrowded hotels and stay in quiet comfort with stunning nature all around. During this extraordinary pandemic period, we experienced it very easy to keep comfortable distance to other guests in this spacious small hotel, even in the nice breakfast room.
Hjalteyri is a small village with old herring factory turned into a contemporary art center and whale watching boats. There is also a very good small restaurant we enjoyed one evening.
We stayed at the hotel for four nights and for us it was an excellent base for day tours to neighboring towns Dalvik, Olafsfjordur and Siglufjordur and the Jaja Ding-Dong town Husavik. We also spent a day walking around and dining in beautiful Akureyri. The geothermal hot tub and the sauna was very much appreciated with a cold beer at the end of the day.

We had a beautifully decorated and spacious 1 bedroom apartment, which was clean and very comfortable for one night or a longer stay.
The property is a renovated old school building, done in a very modern and tasteful style, airy, with high ceilings and lots of light.
There were no instructions on the use of induction stove, with which we were unfamiliar, so it took a while to figure it out.

Beautiful property in a wonderful location. So much attention paid to the fine details and decor. It was a lovely stay.
We enjoyed everything. My only issue was the pillows are a little flat but that is a personal preference.
