Mountain View
It’s a bit walk and not convenient if you have a heavy luggage

The beautiful property with a wonderful garden and mountain views is situated just minutes away the the center square. Quiet and secluded and just a short walk on a narrow cobblestone lane to restaurants, markets, etc. The Lodge is rustic, spotlessly clean, with very comfortable rooms and warm/welcoming staff. Fantastic value.
My only regret is that I didn’t have more time there. After having just completed a five day Salkantay trek to MP, this was like an oasis.

The property was beautiful. Tucked away and felt very safe. It was delightfully rustic. They even had a mini library.

Super comfortable great breakfast great location and most importantly, incredibly kind helpful staff. My suitcase was lost & they organised for someone to go collect it from Cusco airport when it turned up
Nothing it is lovely

There were a few things we loved about Apu Lodge. First was the staff: They were incredibly friendly and informative. The location was nice as it was located just up the road for the turn off the free ruins hike, so it was convenient to take that little extra hike.
Although Apu lodge was lovely, I didn't think the place justified the price point. I think it makes a difference which part of the lodge you stay in. Our room was located on the bottom floor right next to the reception and we could hear EVERYTHING and didn't have the beautiful views that the upstairs had. It was also incredibly cold in the rooms during the time of year, so a space heater in the rooms would have made a big difference. Finally, the breakfast was just okay, and the "packed breakfast" that you could take away on an early checkout for the train wasn't really conducive for travel. Overall, an good experience but would probably have chosen something different for the price point.

Beautiful setting, nice garden. Delicious full breakfast, helpful staff. Close to town, but far enough away to be quiet.

Very nice place, located at the end of a narrow street (not accessible by car), very quiet. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Nice garden.within walking distance from main square.

Travel for vacation with family and friends from Australia.
Staff were very helpful with any requests, and happy to assist with our little amount of Spanish we spoke.
Room was roomy and comfortable and had a great little balcony overlooking the town and ruins on the hill.
Foyer/ reception was approachable and welcoming.
Facilities were clean and well maintained.
Room was exceptional value for money given size.
Location is fantastic, within easy walk down a beautiful cobbled street to the main square and far enough away to be removed from the noise and feel like you lose yourself to the landscape. It was a great base for exploring this amazing little town.
We stayed for 2 nights and could easily have stayed longer as the people were so friendly and it felt like a world away from the hustle and bustle of home.
Highly recommend. Do not just book and stay in Cusco. If you are going to Machu Picchu stay here. You will not regret it.
Wasn't initially clear where we had to go from drop off at the main square but easily resolved direct with Lodge and driver.

Location, breakfast, price, and staff were awesome!
Easy for bugs to get in the room with doors and windows closed.

Filtered water and tea
Peaceful garden
Amazing location and views on the ruin
Great breakfast (can be packed for early departures)
Cute balconies
Terrible wifi and power outlets (very loose which made it difficult to charge anything)
Carpeted room made the room looks dirty/old even though it wasn’t

Beautiful hotel with lovely garden and amazing space to relax with great views. The room was big, comfy and quiet, with a very clean bathroom and powerful hot shower. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. Lovely breakfast made to order. One of us was feeling unwell and the staff went out of their way to help. They let us check in early so we could lie in bed and Jose very kindly made us cups of mint tea from herbs from the garden. Would definitely recommend.

The location is wonderful - at the base of the mountain away from the bustle and noise of the day trippers and train station. Rooms on the second floor has a fantastic view of the sun setting across the valley. The staff was very welcoming and gave great advice on restaurants. We were departing on the 6:40am train and the staff had breakfast laid out for us in the restaurant. One of my favorite things about Ollantaytambo is walking the ageless stone passages - it's part of the allure of this magical valley.
Apu Lodge is honest value for your money. If you're looking for drive-up access or frills, this probably isn't the place for you.

The lodge was great. It is located on the edge of town in a quiet area, grounds are lovely, grass and hammocks. The family room was great for our family as we were all together in a large room. Breakfast was very good, fresh fruit, granola yougart, with eggs cooked to order and everything else buffet style. The staff was very friendly and helpful! Would highly recommend the Apu Lodge to anyone visiting Ollyantaytambo.

The breakfast was good. We had an amazing view! Totally worth carrying the luggage through a cobblestone pathway.

Staff was very hospitable warm and friendly. We arrived late due to a delayed flight. Because they spoke English, it was comforting to know I could communicate with them and make arrangements for them to meet us in the town square. The lodge is a few mins walk up a pedestrian walkway. Doing that at night with no help and carrying our luggage after 33hrs of travel would have been unsettling without their help. The views are fantastic. The garden's are beautiful vand calming. The breakfast was very good. And the place had lots of charm.

loved everything - location was perfect (away from the main street and next to free to enter spectacular Pinkuylluna ruins), jaw dropping views of the Ollantaytambo ruins for ‘good morning’, simple yet filling breakfast, super helpful, cordial and hospitable hosts (Karina and Jose). The garden in front of the balconies is home to a few hummingbirds - had a blast watching them zip by.
wasn’t really a problem for us, as we had unlimited data plan, but wifi signal was very weak in the room.

There was a strike in Peru and the staff couldn't have done more to help up out with the very late decision on whether we needed to stay another night and also for info re the hike we needed.
