We really liked our room and the very "arty" design of the hotel. The staff was helpful (we could left our luggages for the day while visiting). Perhaps not the best "quality / price", but it definitely has character.
However a few aspects could be improved :
-the room was globally "clean", but the bathroom was not and would really need to be freshened (there was a few bugs inside...)
-a light next to the bed would be really useful
-the rooms are not well sound proof and was quite noisy

While sleeping in room 301. You can hear music of drunk people singing. Not too loud but still you can make sense what song they were singing.
I got a room but it was like half a room because my room was the roof of the building. Something like an artic and paid RM 240 per night. BTW they so environmental friendly until they save up on providing customer mineral water and my son and me slept on the floor (with mattress)

Location is good if you want to stay in the old town part of the city, like we did. It is very close to the train station ( walking distance) , so very convenient for arrival and departure. Overall very clean, toiletries in the bathroom. And the overall design of the building is quite nice, giving a cool feeling to the hotel.
The experience overall was quite bad. There was no one at the reception, eve though we arrived during business hours. When you arrive, there is no one at the reception . There is a sign instructing you to make a phone call so someone can come and check you in. Our luck was that a group from Malaysia arrived at the same time that had access to a phone and could make the call. As I was travelling from abroad, I needed internet access to make a phone call. And there comes the second surprise, NO WIFI available for guests, even in the lobby. I have to say this is quite unbelievavle for a hotel in Malaysia in those days.
Reception remains empty the whole time, so no one to provide any kind of assistance or answer any question a guest may have.
The room was quite small, much smaller than appeared in the pictures. Room has no window, except for a very small opening.

look and feel
no WIFI, very hard bed, and the inside cafe was not open for breakfast (opened at 11.00 pm).

Good strategic location
self service check in and check out. The hotelier should inform the guest on the check in procedure. it can be easily done via WhatsApp or email these days.

Gorgeous aesthetic, great location!
Lots of things misrepresented here - there is NO WiFi and minimal staff. I had to check myself in, and there was no one to help with anything unless you WhatsApped the manager, which is hardly likely when there's no WiFi.

I don't know what type of style to say for this hotel but it so cool. I got a room on 3rd floor with small balcony and have bath room and toilet separated from main room. The room condition is clean and neat. Very near to Concubine Lane and other tourist attraction point.
No water provided inside the room and will available upon request only. Difficult to get parking around the area. Bed is slightly hard but it does not matter to me cuz did not go there for just sleeping.

Cute boutique hotel right in the heart of Old Town! Beautifully decorated throughout, will definitely stay again upon my return to Ipoh. No parking available but a car park directly over the road for only 4rm a day.
