The breakfast was very good, and the dinner was great. They have a four course dinner. The grounds and the beach has so much to see, it takes a couple of days to see it all.

Made us feel like friends and family.

True paradise, this is one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. Peaceful, full of nature and glorious ocean views. It only has 8 unique rooms , all with views and crammed with gorgeous folk art the owner has collected over the years. They offer a homely dinner each evening g and have a small bar/ restaurant overlooking the sea. The rooms are cooked by fans and the ocean breeze- no air con and limited Wi-Fi but you go here for peace and to soak in the stunning views , bird life and other nature which is literally on the doorstep.
This is a small and quiet hotel, it’s a drive down a long dirt road and is not close to other hotels/ restaurants. This made for a perfect, quiet escape but don’t chose if you like a lovely resort

Beautiful property with nothing but nature all around. The breakfast was generous and delicious. The staff were helpful and available when needed.
We didn't order dinner cause of the price but after having breakfast I imagine it was worth it.

Beautiful Estate, grand views, excellent meals, peace and quiet !
Loved the remote location, viewing the whales, manta rays and orcas. Enjoyed the horseback riding nearby, the snorkeling with sea lions and even the dirt roads were fun. Coffee with a beautiful sunrise from our front porch overlooking the sea of Cortez was memorable. The pool was refreshing if the surf was rough at the picturesque beach. An awesome get away !

The place is beautiful, the owner's and host were very welcoming and the food was great. The Bali room was a unique experience and I would definitely go back.
Nothing about the place itself - maybe some better directions - we took the inland route through Palo Escopeta as advised but on return we went the coastal route using directions on a blog, it;s much more beautiful and we were able to turn off onto a paved road after about 35 mins, it was much quicker too!

I found Villa del Faro as a treat for the final nights of our stay in Baja and we were not disappointed. We stayed in the Stone Cottage on the beach and absolutely loved it!! Listening to the waves as you go to sleep is wonderful and being able to step straight out onto the beach for sunrise and whale watching was magical.
We also loved the grounds, the swimming pool, the breakfasts, the dinners, the chat with other guests, the hummingbirds, the list goes on. We could have stayed forever!
We loved all of it

The property is absolutely beautiful and stunning. The views are breathtaking. The property feels like a luxury mansion style compound. The property is very quiet and private It is so vast that you really feel like you are by yourself if you want. The walk to the beach is beautiful amd prestine

Amazing place - honestly, the gorgeous details here are overwhelming. I cannot wait to come back.

amazing location, amazing pool, amazing house,
we stayed in the Bali room which has no windows and was very wild
diner overpriced, the family that is the running the house would gain in being a bit more welcoming, you can feel their doing this for money not for pleasure.
The bill is in dollar and no amount in pesos is proposed which for us living in mexico was a bit unexpected

This is a magical place. Very remote - a 1 hour drive through the Baja desert on a rutted dirt road - but once you arrive, you will never want to leave. Family run (for now), so the place has real soul.

Location is great -lovely beach.
The way misinformation is provided in Booking.com where it never clearly states that the cabin where we were to stay had no real bathroom, but rather an outhouse which is about 7meters away on a sharp-rocks path *which is pitch black at night- making it really dangerous. Besides, the shower is also out of the cabin, with no real protection from the wind, and only freezing cold water coming out with little preasure.
The info in booking.com also says that coffee machine is provided, but in reality there is only a boiling water recepient that is supposed to work along with a camping burner which never turned on. When asked the staff, they simply replied that it actually works, but never offered to actually show how to operate it.
Also to be noted (and not in the description) is that the wooden windows do not shut properly, so a tough draft of wind is always getting into the cabin - so we had to set towels and my jacket to cover all those opens spots.
Sheets were a bit dirty.
We did not have a car, and so we wanted to get a ride to go to the closest town (15km away) and the hotel wanted to charge $80 US to drive us. (instead, we ended up having a free ride with a friendly local)
Last but not least, each dinner plate costs $45 US - containing a piece of Chicken, pasta and salad.
When I brought up my sensation that the price of dinner was abusive, the owner came to say that she was to refund us
10% expecting to compensate for my unsatisfaction. (up to now, my bank account hasn´t registered any refund, at all)

We stayed in the Bali room and loved the view and very comfortable bed. Dinner was very tasty, particularly the ceviche. Amazing common areas to enjoy.
It's a great place but a little overpriced.

It’s such a special place! The owners treat you like you’re a special guest of the family. In short, it’s a beautiful hideaway - so so worth the trip!

Amazing stay, great food, and wonderful staff. A little piece of unexpected paradise.
Directions getting there were the most challenging part of the trip. No signage or street signs. Incredible place once find it but plan on an adventure. I recommend giving yourself PLENTY of time to get there. A difficult drive at dusk and/or in the dark. As a female, I would have been very nervous driving solo on such a remote road.

The rooms were spacious, comfy and beautifully decorated. The gardens are beautiful. The swimming pool is shaded which is wonderful in the summer. There is a bar fridge for your drinks and food supplies, tho we did have our own cooler. They were generous in giving us ice. We were able to totally relax, the purpose of our great escape! Thank you.
It’s hot in the summer - I think they’d do well to add mini-split air conditioners to the bedrooms. I know they were erecting some shade over the patio in the dining area which will be a great addition.

Amazing location one of the best in Baja. Superb views to the ocean can see whales. Nice beach with no people. If you look for calm peaceful stay that’s the place
Rooms without ac so can be hot early morning. You need a car if you want to go for lunch or dinner outside the hotel.

Amazing remote location.
This place is a little piece of paradise. Beautiful, clean and relaxing
Be careful to rent an SUV to access as the road is bumpy. ALso no supermarket are available in the area therefore you should book lunch or dinner with the hotel or there are fews restaurants nearby

Amazing villa with beautifully decorated rooms. Most rooms are in separate buildings so you have a lot of privacy. We stayed at the Bali Room and it was quite an experience since there are no walls, the view is amazing. Don't forget to close the mosquito net over your bed before going to sleep, though. The hosts are very kind and helpful and breakfast is delicious, chilaquiles, eggs, and pancakes!
If you have dinner at the villa there is only one option and you cannot really change your mind since it's quite far from everything else. I would have liked more options for dinner or to know in advance the menu and decide beforehand.
