Great location with a 5 minute walk to the beach , bus stop close by & a lovely 10 walk to the main shopping area .

Great location , comfortable double room , friendly staff .

Unfortunately a few guests who chose not to follow rules and be noisy after the 9pm quiet time outside, until management spoke to them . Noisy again at 1am so disturbed sleep .

Manly Bunkhouse is a great place to stay, whether to meet people, work, or while in holiday transit.

Friendly, approachable, interesting people; super helpful staff; best location (what can beat Manly Beach?), parking available, the list of good things goes on and on.

Some guests are messy.

Fantastic hostel if you’re a holiday maker or backpacker just looking for a place to crash and chill. Maybe not for you

Great location, really good vibe for backpackers etc. The garden at the back is lovely and the kitchen facilities are huge! The staff were amazingly friendly and even tried to help my girlfriend and me find a place to live on a more long-term basis as we’d just moved to the area

The 5-bed dorm we stayed in was cramped for that many people. In contrast the 4-bed dorm I had for one night was amazing.

Good value & made to feel very welcome, so thank you

The property was a little tired around the edges, first impression stuff ! however it was very friendly place to relax, & reasonable outside space, which I enjoyed

As mentioned it was a little tired, could do with a freshen up / tidy up (but that's really all cosmetic) & sadly the Wi Fi was poor when just outside of the main building

Nice to have a backyard and place to dry beach things

Almost everyone I met is staying long term on a work visa and at work during the day so this doesn’t have a typical hostel vibe. Kitchen was very crowded.

Fantastic, was in a time of need and no fuss.

Fantastic service from the owners son who came and helped me even though it was past the check in time. I was also advised with an early checkout I could leave my keys in the room, all handled professionally , booking.com could use an update to explain the details but the staff alexceeded expectations.

No part on the establishment, maybe more details on booking.com to make it clearer for late book ins.

Was significatly above age of regular guests but had very nice, clean and spacious separate room with bathroom and possibility to prepare small meals which offered sufficient privacy.

cosy and comfortable

The room was really comfy and in close proximity to the beach!

The bathroom rack for towels and clothes is quite far from the shower so the floor will end up pretty wet when we shower. and somehow the water takes ages to dry off, not sure how else to go about after the shower. The bottom bunk is also pretty close to the top bunk, so I actually hit my head against the bed frame a few times.
