Incredibly generous people running the place. My wife, son and I had an amazing stay with such cool views, and the town is filled with such lovely people. Can't wait to visit again!

we arrived with a confirmed prepaid booking to find the hotel closed for the season. Had it not been for the helpful cleaning person who, lucky for us,had not left for the day, we would have had to face the night in our car in sub zero weather. The proprietors of this hotel should not be allowed to be in business.

The outdoor parlour is so cute with a good veit
There is bit of a mold smell in the rooms.
The staff didn't speak icelandic and limited english.

There's room for improvement on the hygiene of the bathroom.

Had a corner room with a small balcony and beautiful views. The coffee and tea in the room was a lovely treat.
The building is a little old with some cracks in the walls. The bathroom smelled a tad mildew-y but seemed clean. Be aware the beds are narrow. I'm 5'6" and 145lbs and there was very little extra room. I almost rolled off a few times.

Great area to stay in. About 30 minute drive to the Drangsnes hot pots which are worth a trip. The hotel itself is good - great value. We only got to stay for one night but it was a good stay. Would definitely stay again. Solid internet speeds - about 30mbps download.

- easy check in/check out
- small but comfortable
- was not that clean… on and next to the bed were a lot of long black hairs (neither my husband nor me have black hair)

Room was clean, cosy and had a great fjord view. Liked the Nespresso coffie machine.
Toilet was really small.

Nice quiet hotel, breakfast nice but basic. Room spotlessly clean and comfortable - a bit small. Bathroom good.

Room was small, but very comfortable. Bathroom was very nice.
The TV was not programmed, and though the host tried to help, it could not be fixed. But, she was able to move me to a room that had a working TV.

Nice location overlooking the fjord
It needed some TLC. The walls in our room needed repainting to cover all the marks. The twin beds were extremely narrow, yet extra long. The bathroom sink was so tiny, it was impossible to fill the kettle under the faucet. It was serviceable for one night but we wouldn’t have wanted to stay longer.

Good location, and very good breakfast.
The size of the room, it is tiny

Good location.
Good breakfast.
The room is a little bit narrow.
The kettle in the room is quite dirty.

All rooms are equipped with a Nespresso machine.
Not clean, bad smell from the bathroom without any ventilation, hair on the bed and poor breakfast in a small room (the reception) that wasn’t big enough for all guests

Bed comfortable, breakfast good. Had dinner in town
Carrying my suitcase up the stairs

clean nice room and staff
taking the very narrow and steep stairs to the 3rd floor with luggage is not ideal and definitely not easy for people with mobility issues

woman helping with checking in was wonderful and really help us out when we made a mistake by booking a single instead of a double. THANK YOU!!

Good location. Friendly staff. Breakfast was not fancy but still fine.
Uncomfortable pillows. Water stain on bathroom ceiling and old shower curtain. No washcloths. No place to hang towels in bathroom. Doors slamming in hallway woke us up.
3.8
Very noisy doors and hallways that echo through the rooms. Hard to fill water bottles from the bathroom sink.

Our room had a view of the fjord, was exceptionally clean and the bed was super comfortable. The breakfast is excellent with fresh baked croissants and pastries every day! we stayed there three days and the staff was uniformly cheerful and helpful. The hotel is extremely quiet and there is a kettle and coffee maker in the room. The hotel is very conveniently located to everything in the town - everything is within a short walk.
The room is small, which is not in and of itself a problem, except that there is no closet or drawers. This could be addressed by adding hooks to the walls so that we could hang things up. There was one hook but that was not really enough. The shower tends to spray on the bathroom floor even with the curtain completely drawn. The blackout curtain is insufficient, the weakest one we have had in Iceland. Bring a sleeping mask if you stay here in the summer.

Everything in phase with the town. Authentic and friendly.

Clean room, comfortable bed, nice continental breakfast included. Dining room is nicely set up.
It would be nice to have a longer table in the room as there was space available. The little card table with tea and kettle provided was nice, but it was difficult finding a space to place our things.
There are no knobs on the exterior of the room doors so everyone must slam their door to shut it. This is heard from at all hours as people come and go.

This hotel is located up a hill pretty much in the center of town so the view on the harbour, if your room faces the harbour, is really good. The breakfast that is included with the room rate is good and has good variety. The rooms were clean, and you can see that they invested a lot in technology, as the TVs in the rooms were the biggest ones we have seen in Iceland during our entire month's trip.
We had two single rooms (that is all that was left when reserving), and although the staff made sure to accommodate our request to have two rooms close together, those rooms were very, very small (too small). Also, they were on the third floor of a very narrow staircase with no elevators. The beds were cramped in a little corner between two walls. Also, the toilet seats were badly adjusted or installed on the toilet, so every time you sat down, they shifted. It was a bit uncomfortable.

absolutely nothing!!!
place was filthy. the room did not have a tv. walls were all cracked and scruffed. completely different than the pictures on booking . com. old smelly and very little food for breakfast. no soap and towels were old. could not see threw the windows because they were so dirty. complained to them but they said they would tel the manager but no one came to speak with us. Also contacted the property with no reply. they had already charged my credit card and I asked for a 1 night refund due to all the deficits. they did not reply or give refund. Very unhappy with this accommodation!!!
