Nice and homely guesthouse in beautiful scenery, the best location to watch everything on south-eastern part of Iceland (Diamond Beach, Vatnajökull National Park, Vestrahorn etc.). Staff - Thora and her husband - is really-really friendly and helpful and they make amazing breakfast. Shared bathrooms are clean, and there is a kitchen for the staff but they let you use the microwave and the cutlery; there is a shared fridge too. You have a sink in your room.
If the house is full you may have to wait to use the bathrooms.

La localisation, le petit-déjeuner et l’accueil chaleureux de l’hôte.

It's a good option for the middle of nowhere. The owner is super kind and has lots of good info on the property and local history. Included breakfast is nice!
It's a little older feeling, like staying at your grandma's house. Not necessarily a bad thing but a different vibe.

Thora is a very nice host, making sure you have all you need. Excellent breakfast, pretty and cosy room for 3 with view on the close sea. The house is taken care with serious and purely clean. Very close to beautiful spots. We recommend +++ ! We are a French couple with our 22 years old daughter.

Very friendly and attentive owner (Thorna). Good breakfast. Church near guesthouse. Small faucet in room. Easy parking. Clean bathroom. Easy access from Route 1.
Room #4 near bathroom. some noise.

The owner was a bit intrusive. She controls if you use the kitchen, how you use it and for what. You can only use it to warm pre-cooked meal.

It's location was good for us as we needed to spend one night and then continue Iceland 's ring road. The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean and beds were very comfortable. Good private parking too
Steep steps to take up the luggage into the residence. Also no TV in the room and no cappuccino machine for coffee for breakfast.

A welcoming host of a guesthouse in an idyllic setting. The whole house is very clean. A very good breakfast has a number of home made jams. 20 minutes away from Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, and the Diamond Beach. The location is excellent as a stop over to visit Skaftafel and the south of Iceland. The chapel next door is beautiful. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Place is located within many nature attractions in the area (diamond beach and others) and has a nice scenery around it. Rooms are in a house with 2shared bathrooms and shared kitchen. All is well equipped and well maintained. The hostess is very helpful and responsive. Breakfast is simple but very good.
Rooms and kitchen are somewhat small (neither tiny nor roomy...), very far from towns so no supermarket or laundry services unless driving 40min to Hofn.

Room was basic, but clean, roomy enough and quiet. No problem accessing separate toilet and shower facilities across the hall.
Dinner takes a bit of planning as there is no kitchen for guests to use for cooking and there are no restaurants nearby.

The host was very friendly and the breakfast was home made and very tasty.
As there are not too many options around, it is a kind of expensive shared bathroom experience.

the room was clean, the bed comfortable and the breakfast was delicious
only one bathroom/ shower for several rooms, but there was a sink in the room

This is was one of our favourite places to stay along the Ring Road. The guesthouse is super-clean, everything is well-organized and well-prepared. The breakfast was amazing too. The host lady, Thora was super kind. Thank you for everything.
This is just an advice: the guesthouse has kitchen but it is for the staff only, however you can use the microwave and the water boiler but you can’t cook a proper meal, so just keep it mind while you are planning your dinner as there is no supermarket or restaurant nearby.

Our host Thora was attentive to our needs. We are vegan and she accommodated us by offering us plenty of options at breakfast including homemade items. The accommodation was clean, quiet, and comfortable in a beautiful part of Iceland 😊
Nothing. We couldn’t have asked for anything better😊

Not knowing until I came late in the nigth that I should have booked/decided when to have breakfast so it was full until late morning (that was fine, but would have been perfect to know in advance" :)

The guesthouse was very nice, clean and quiet. We are a family of three, the room had 3 twin beds a sink, table and chairs. The room, we were downstairs, had excellent darkening curtains. Just so you know bring food, the closet food store is about 40 minutes away and the restaurants close early 8:00 I think. We went to Netto and picked up snacks for dinner for the 2nd night. We also went to the Viking village.
