Prachtige natuur.
Zowel de eigenares als de boer nemen je met plezier mee op pad om uitleg te geven over hun stukje regenwoud. Ook met al je andere vragen kan je steeds bij hen terecht.
De kamer is basic, maar voorzien van al het noodzakelijke.

The farm is an amazing place, far away from the cities it's great for relaxing and getting away from the backpacker superhighway.
Really kind people living and working here who are great to chat to
There are great tours that you can do. We especially enjoyed riding the horses and walking through the protected cloud Forrest.
It's a buggy place so bring bug spray!

The staff were lovely and tried to be helpful with everything that was going wrong
Lots of things were broken. The water in the toilet wasn't working properly, there was a gas leak on the stove so we could only use one burner. The kitchen is outside so didn't include a fridge, we were welcomed to put things in the fridge at their house though. Perhaps I misunderstood (my Spanish is just barely passable) but we booked a horseback ride for my daughter and I and had to share a horse. I don't think we were asked if that was what we wanted. We still paid $30US.
A few things that were neither good or bad but we would have liked to know beforehand. The owner was not at the property the whole time we stayed. Since I was corresponding with her I assumed she would be available (she speaks English but her staff doesn't). There is also no cell service at the property or anywhere near it so if you don't pay for the daily wifi you have no phone connection.

The natural beauty of the area! It was beautiful to wake up to the clouds surrounding us. And the owner was very nice. She was very good about making a walk for us and pointing out specific areas of the Miraflor! Because it is a working farm the were cows, horses, and dogs.
The dogs could have been contained a little better, but we understood. The kitchen was small and the dish washing was really convenient. But any inconvenience was okay based on the whole experience.

Beautiful area of countryside. The cabañas were large, clean and comfortable. The horse riding trip was a highlight!
Difficult to access by public transport - long bus on a bumpy road, followed by 20 minute walk past many barking dogs. It felt a little scary arriving past sunset, the path to the farm was unlit and we were unable to find any staff to welcome us for a while.
We expected much better kitchen facilities, seeing as the only option is to cook for yourself. There were insects and mice in the kitchen, and no sharp knives.

The place is in a very nice location, surrounded by nature. The cabins were okay, and similar to what we expected. The horseback riding tour was beautiful.
With the restaurant still closed due to covid, we were cooking our own meals in the kitchen. However, we did find it could be better equipped. There were no cooking knives to, for example, cut vegetables. Moreover, the pots and pans were relatively dirty.
There are a lot of dogs on the property, which we normally do not have any problem with, but one of them kept jumping over the porch fence to try and reach our food. We had to go ask two times to please watch their dogs, since we found this unpleasant. Marlene did help us with this immediately.
Finally, we do not recommend doing a birdwatching tour with Marcial. He told us when we arrived, he was a birdwatching, orchid, and medicinal plants guide. The birdwatching tour was hugely disappointing. He told us it was important to leave early, so we agreed to meet at 6am. Finally, we were only able to leave at 6:40am because he overslept and took so much time to get ready. The ‘tour’ was a 400m walk to small finca garden where there were 2 species of hummingbirds he could not identify, and back to to Lindos Ojos. On the way he told us names of two birds, and pointed at some pictures in his book which were doubtfully the correct species, saying the drawings in the book were not very good.

we loved everything here! it’s beautiful, remote, quite, definitely eco, with very friendly people and a particularly interesting owner.
you must cook yourself but you can buy the basics at their place or there a a few shops and a restaurant in walking distance.

The location was beautiful and the family there was super kind and accomadating.
There was nothing I disliked, just know what you’re getting. It’s a rural location with limited facilities and access to the outside world. If you want to escape for a few days into a rustic location, this is the place to go.

This place is a treasure! Not only the people hosting this place but also the animals, the style and especially the nature of the well preserved host-owned cloud forest make it a stay letting you feel like home!
This place is amazing!

Martial and Marlene, who are running this farm, are absolutely lovely people. They can show you everything in the surrounding and tell you all the stories of that unique place in Nicaragua. Martial is a living nature-guide! We loved our stay at Finca Lindos Ojos. Horseback-Riding through that resort was simply beautiful, don‘t miss out on that!
