Great location, very cool hotel
Wish spa/pool were opened later than 7pm

We liked everything about this hotel, there was everything in the room you needed and more. Lovely gardens, friendly staff, great restaurant and food and great views across the lake. Decor was great.
There was not one thing I can fault this hotel on except a lift would be useful but it would spoil the property and that just me being lazy!
7.0
Location. Room had a lovely lake view. Excellent en suite bathroom.
Room was too small. Food (both dinner and breakfast) was not up to standard.
10.0
The charm of the hotel and location
Whilst the service of the restaurant was great, there is a lack of vegetarian options and for the price there are much better cuisine available in the area.

Beautiful hotel with access to nice sauna and jacuzzi .
I imagine in summer will be super nice!
20mins from center of evian. You can walk along the lake!
Probably room is small. But still nice.

The cold choices on offer for breakfast were outstanding.
The warmth and caring of the staff
The eclectic style of the hotel
Amazingly comfortable beds
We can’t actually think of anything!

amazing breakfast

The restaurant was absolutely fantastic and the place was bursting with character. We were just staying for one night but it was memorable.
Breakfast didn't quite meet the expectations set by dinner. Room was small but we weren't expecting more.

Everything was ready and clean, the room was a bit kitschy but it was not a problem and the bed was really comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was copious and varied, the bread was delicious and so was the cheese on offer. Another time, I might indulge in the spa or hammam facility, but did not have the presence of mind to bring my own bathing suit, so I passed this time.
Being a vegetarian, I especially selected this hotel because it had a restaurant that offered a full vegetarian option. The main course (arancini with mushrooms and a dill sauce) was really up to my expectations, but what a disappointment with the starter! It had NO taste at all. The figs were bland (it is the end of the season so they were ripe, but absolutely devoid of flavor), the underneath comté cracker was also tasteless and it was all smothered in a lukewarm and cloying whipped double cream that was neither sweet nor salty and topped with - also bland - red currants. So no, that was not good at all and I left most of the cream, which I am not wont to do since I hate food waste.

it was very quirkily decorated and the location was perfect. out of town and on the lake. the spa is a bonus

The food was excellent and the breakfast too. It has a great location right on the lake shore. My bed was very comfortable, and my room had a lovely view across the lake.
My friends staying in another room found the room very small for two people, made less comfortable because of the additional furniture, occasional tables, plastic flowers etc which they called clutter. Too many scatter cushions. My room was fine for me as a solo traveller but had there been two of us it would have been cramped.

An absolute crazy place you love and hate it at the same time but at the end if I ask myself will I go back then it is a definite big yes .

Superb location. Quaint interior. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff.
Cramped bedroom. No a/c.

Very friendly family run hotel with obvious care for the standards at the hotel. Clean rooms. Swimming pool was nice. table tennis and use of bikes was great. Location on the lake was fabulous. Breakfast selection was large.
Small niggles. No aircon. Small rooms could do with a bit of decluttering e.g, had to climb around chairs. Gym smelled musty and uninviting. Breakfast was a bit pricey and would be better inclusive. Access to cool soft drinks or fridge later on hot evenings would be nice. Drinks by the pool were not allowed.

Right on the lake so we could have a morning swim.
Great restaurant with good food.
Nice staff.
1920 charm if you like that.
Very charming hotel and facilities
Swimming pool and lovely garden
Posssibilty to borrow bicycles going into town
Charming hotel with a cosy feel with antiques and old
Bathroom was a little small
No aircondition in the rooom but the fan in the room was good.

a beautiful authentic traditional spa hotel, lovely decor, fabulous location, very friendly helpful staff.
room quite small but I guess that’s normal for a traditional hotel. no air con but able to open balcony doors for ventilation

Beautiful and romantic hotel Belle Époque, with lots of attention to details. Lovely gardens and pool, plus access to the lake for swimming. Water quality of lake was excellent!
The restaurant and its food was superb with view onto the lake and sunset.
Really enjoyed our stay.

I was really pleasantly surprised. this was a last minute mini break for me and my daughter. the hotel is full of character and very thoughtful details, my daughter loved the pool and I loved the lake being so close. dinner was very good and the staff were great. I can only recommend.

Direct access to lake. Excellent restaurant
Room was rather small and overstuffed with kitsch but funny decor elements. With less stuff the space would have been ok. To be fair there was a very nice and large furnished terrace.

Breakfast was superb! Excellent location, right at the edge of the lake. The view from the balcony overlooking the lake is magnificent. The staff there is terrific & very friendly. They remembered us from out last stays.
The lack of space; everything is very crowded. It was difficult to find space for an ordinary suitcase in our room, & as well as pillows, there were 10 cushions! And the dining room, though lovely, is very difficult to move about in.

Very cute and comfortable boutique hotel, makes you feel like home. Everything is clean and the room is exactly as expected from the pictures. Checking in was very quick and easy, will definitely come back again!
The cleaning from other rooms was quite loud in the morning, not the best for someone who wants to sleep in. The hotel is about 15-20 minutes walk to downtown.

Great dinner meal, but a little too pricey
The bed could’ve been a little more comfortable and the room a little bigger, but the main dissatisfaction was being given a room on the third floor with no elevator 😢😢

The staff at the hotel -- the busboys, the waiters, the receptionists, the maids -- were all extremely helpful and gracious, going out of their way to ensure that our stay was good. I travel often for business and have stayed in some of the best hotels in the world and the staff of this hotel is the best I've ever encountered. Bravo to them and to the management.

The owner of the hotel was very rude, impolite
His approach to us was totaly unrespectable
We will never choose this hotel again and we don’t recommend to any one who don’t want to be treated badly and rudely to choose this hotel
In the morning it was very noisey and the rooms was decorated with no style.

Fantastic views, restaurant food very was very good (although a little expensive), restaurant staff friendly and helpful
Despite being advertised as the bar being open from 7.30am to 10.00pm getting a drink outside of the restaurant opening hours was near impossible. Staff were indifferent claiming staff shortages, even though locals seemed to be being served.

Nothing.
We asked for two rooms, one near the other because we were with our children and wanted to be close to us. When we reached the hotel they gave us one rom at the first floor and the other at the third. We were hungry, just checked in and wanted to eat when they said: No, it’s not possible. We closed our kitchen. It was five minutes till 9.00 P.M. We wanted to talk to the manager, and first the person from the office desk said that he is not in the location and after few minutes he appeared and said NO, we are fully booked. We wanted to take our money and leave and also we received a big NO. And they manager called us rude. All the time we were respectful and trying to. find a solution because we were with our children.
All I want to say is they weren’t interested in reaching a solution, just NO and go in the city, we are fully booked. We didn’t felt guests in this hotel, we felt intruders. They have a lot of hearts, all over the place in this hotel, but not in their bodies. We didn’t feel any kindness and hospitality here. We were glad to leave early in the morning.
