Fuimos a descansar y logremos el objetivo
No hay estacionamiento seguro… hubo una actividad en el hotel y si sacaba mi auto del valet parking privado que hay al frente me quedaba sin estacionamiento. Deberían tener servicio de valet parking

It is an amazing location with a genuine Latin American historical feeling, not 'forced' but organic, with easy parking next door and right in the center of Old San Juan. The staff were great, and the veranda, afternoon drinks and entire setup are quite an experience. This is a way to be dropped down right into the culture, and is not a "resort" type experience.
Considering that it is a 300-year-old building, I would say that I would prefer a bigger bathroom.

The hotel is super central - close to everything.
they did not indicate in their website they are busy with renovations. we had the room next to the ones being renovated. our bedding was old & torn & the rooms look tired. no internet in the rooms.
Be mindful the hotel advertise a Queen room but the beds are only double beds.

The location in the middle of the historic district was very convenient and the view from the room overlooking the patio was picturesque. The hotel had an unique ambient and touch which was developed by its history and culture.
We were first taken to a room which was not the type we booked. It was a lower class on the 5th floor, very different to what we’ve seen in their home page. We complained and requested to bring us to the proper class. Eventually it was arranged, however, we were given explanations first that it was due to their renovation, which was not convincing. The WiFi only covered limited areas in the hotel, and it was not available in the room. I think the hotel should counteract asap to make sure that WiFi is available in every room, at every corner.

The location was outstanding and the hotel had a wonderful character. The bath was particularly spacious and well appointed. Concierge service gave us some nice suggestions.
Expected, and paid for, a junior suite with at least a sitting area and couch. Instead, there was one easy chair in a WINDOWLESS room. I didn't think windowless was even legal! Fit and finish was poor with doors off track and trim falling off. Furniture was very cheap and dresser drawers did not work. TV only had about 2 working channels. No robes provided. The maids didn't even bother to make up the room before the last night with no fresh waters, towels or even clean coffee cups. On checkout was told everything was good to go, but I have not yet received any explanation of charges or statement. Expected that at least to be emailed, but nothing.

Good central location. Attractive room and hotel seating areas with rooftop sea views.
This is not a luxury hotel by european standards. Very slick website promises much but reality under performs. Bathroom not cleaned daily. No assistance offered with luggage. Room superficially ok but furniture and floor under bed very dusty. Mattress lumpy. Food service slow with little choice and desserts not fresh. This is primarily a wedding venue (There were 4 during our 3 day stay). Customer assistance variable depending on who you approached. Appeared to lack strong management. Overall disappointing for the price.

Location was great. Hotel is absolutely stunning and the courtyard is amazing. Loved the free wine and cheese in the evening.
The mattress was terrible. It caved in in the middle which made it hard to sleep with a partner without rolling into one another. The staff at the courtyard restaurant were really rude and did not seem to want to be there. One of the staff made finger guns at their head before serving me. The WiFi was not strong enough for professionals to work. The shower leaked into the bedroom. I love this hotel but for the price, there really needs to be a justifiable reason! I stayed at an Airbnb which was 1/3 the price and far more comfortable.

the history of the building is amazing and the location is central to everything. the old convent doors were very cool
noise travels around but it’s usually not too bad

The hotel is in a perfect location. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Also, 20 min from the airport.
Pool towels were almost non existent. I asked several times and had to wait over an hour to be provided with a pool towel. I also asked for extra towels and wash clothes for the room and that was an issue as well. The service in the hotel definitely lacked!

location
the sofa has several strains, I didn’t feel comfortable in sitting on it. There were workers early morning and we weren’t informed that there would have been works dieting our stay.
I booked a taxi to get to the airport on time. The receptionist didn’t monitor the request and we ended up calling a uber to get to the airport on time to catch our flight. Not exactly what I had expected when booking a transportation from a 4 star hotel.

You just can’t replicate this kind of character and charm. From the woodwork, to the arches and unexpected bathroom fresco, it’s incredible. The history is palpable. Attentive and sincere, we throughly enjoyed the warmth of the staff. The weather was rainy, but the staff had plenty of suggestions - and umbrellas. The rooftop pool and hot tub were great during a light rain.
the restaurant was going through a revival. it was ok.

The location was perfect for exploring old San Juan, and the hotel has a lovely character.
The staff left something to be desired in such an expensive hotel. Additionally, it was difficult to get out of the neighborhood to get to other parts of the city.
