Nice B&B with great breakfast

Breakfast was good with fresh pastries, and the location was convenient. The room was big and nice.

We had some problems with the electrical outlets. And we were supposed to have an iron but we didn't have it . Though the host eventually found one for us. Also the footboard of the bed was broken and bedding was not great.

Fairy tasteful decorations. Lovely kitchen and snacks! Breakfast provided, room supercomfortable bed comfortable. Very friendly hosts easy check in. Free street parking right nearby. Very close to downtown. The neighborhood is just fine.

Lack of hot water brings down rating.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The location was good and the man running the place was helpful and nice. He gave us useful information about things to do and places to see.

The main problem here was that the establishment did not have an adequate hot water supply. On our first day there, we were out all day and returned to the b & b late in the day. When we wanted to take a shower around 9 pm, there was no hot water. This was not a pleasant experience since the weather at the time was in the fifties Fahrenheit, and rainy. . When we asked him the next day about the lack of hot water, he told us that the the hot water ran out at night, and that if we wanted to have a hot shower, we should shower before 8 pm. If that were the case, we should have been told this information upon checking in.

The kitchen was really beautiful, with really delicious sweets. The owner is really nice and attentive. The room was really cozy as well.

The owners were really helpful. Although generally Italians do not seem to know English (in terms of communication), nevertheless the owners tried hard and in the end we reached an understanding on everything! They answered any question within the booking app in minimum time. I needed a taxi very early in the morning, which was arranged for me immediately and without any problems. I sureley would choose "La casa del cuore" again for my stay in Reggio di Calabria.

Good value well located no frills BnB.

Spacious room, comfy bed, friendly owner, close to Corso and ferries. Good value for the price.

Neighborhood is a little sketchy/rundown. Breakfast is DIY and mainly biscotti torta and cereal (no fruit, meat or cheese).

Very disappointed

The room was cold. I reserved accommodations with a clothes washing machine but there was none. As It stands, booking.com is not reliable. You simply accept the word of the owner whereas Reggio Calabria Is riddled with trickery and fraud.

Convenient Stay

The property was fairly close to the port and beach front.

The neighbourhood it was located in was a bit run down. Window of room looked out on a back dirty back alley.

host came into my room to fix a light bulb during checkin and touched the bed. There were the previous guests half used shampoos in the bathroom

Very good

The staff was very friendly and helped answer our questions and make a reservation for us at Piro Piro, which was so good! Thank you for the easy transition.

The first night in one of the rooms the air conditioning didn't work, so that made it a miserable sleep for my friends and then the first night too neither bathrooms had warm water. However, the second night after they were moved to another room it was perfect and there was enough hot water for all of us!
