I would think twice before recommending this place to someone.
Situated in the heart of Kolkata. Close to many places of attraction, mainly the restaurants, market etc.
Old rickety systems. The door lock doesn't work properly. The flush system had a problem. No Bengali channels on TV ??? Staff give lame excuses for not cleaning the room.

Good
Pros: 1. The proximity to Park Street. Turn a corner and you are in front of Mocambo and opposite to Flurry's 2. The front desk was SUPER customer centric and prompt, despite being peak holiday time 3. The ambience, kind of guests staying were a mixed bag of families, young travelers, and some business. Being Christmas time, they were busy, but a good bunch of crowd 4. Being just around the corner from the busy streets, it is quiet. So rooms are reasonable silent 5. Comfortable bed, nice yellow lights in room. Coffee machine, tv, good mirrors, storage spaces, in room safe.... It's there. 6. I didn't visit the in house cafe, but it looks like a nice ambience when i see it standing at the front desk. Breakfast, dinner, snacks available
Cons: 1. The price you pay is location premium for proximity to Park Street, do not expect luxury - it's an old, very average property and rather small/narrow passageways 2. It's not dirty, but it's got the stained bedsheets and stained bathroom, rusted shower. Electric sockets are falling off 3. I am surprised no one mentioned this, but the approx. 100 metres between this place and Mocambo (the closest famous restaurant) has all kinds of goods trucks, pull carts, etc parked. It also has a hospital opposite to it, something like a garage next to it with people sitting on the road. I didn't face any safely issues, but to be clear, don't picture a posh immediate surrounding. This took me aback a little. The other side that connects to Rafi Ahmed Kidwai road is best avoided, unless you need a short cut to get to that side of the city (like Elliot road) 4. The housekeeping does need pushing to make them promptly provide what guests need. Don't expect attention to details - empty toilet rolls hanging on check in, no dustbin cover, used towel cleared but not replaced

will not recommend to any one and felt money waste
location, bit of dinner food and people who served answered were co operative.
we dint feel hygeine and clean 1. Bed lights were under cobwebs. not cleaned at all 2. Toilet - even they say cleaned its all soiled with brown , helper not working. As soon we checked in , no water was coming and need to inform the reception to get it done. 3. Water Kettle - already soiled and not clean. how can wr heat water in that lime scales 4. Breakfast - not much food quantity and quality for the payment of 210 INR. 5. Bathroom Partition - was a messy glass partition and soiled with likescale 6. Noisy nights - we were not able read or sleep due to high noisy machining environments we asked why this room was chosen and commented as - executive rooms are like this. Not at all worthy the value for 8k INR
