Watching the Kangaroos and Emus plus sunset was phenomenal. Phil and Kerry were incredible and so hospitable. They gave us lots of great tips. It was a wonderful experience.

Nothing went well. The proprietor refused me entry to the facility, and was rude and aggressive. It's because I was suffering from a mild case of COVID 19. He said that I could not stay, and turned my wife and I away. He claimed that this is his "policy", but it was NEVER mentioned in his emails to me and it is NOT mentioned on his website. He said that I should have informed him of my illness ahead of arrival, but nothing in his communications to me ever stated this as a requirement. Worse, he told me that he would charge me for the 2 nights I had booked, even though he was refusing me entry to his hotel. I was appalled. He displayed the opposite of appropriate behaviour. I would NEVER recommend this establishment. PLUS, I want Booking.com to ensure that if he attempts to charge me for the 2 nights, as i expect he will, that the money be returned to me
Everything could have been better. I was refused entry, and then the proprietor planned to charge me anyway. This is unethical, and very likely illegal. Shame on him. In addition, I have raised this as a complaint with the Shire of Shark Bay. The official from the Shire agrees entirely with me that I should not be charged for a service that was not rendered to me, and they plan to contact the proprietor of On the Deck at Shark Bay. As well, the official at the Shire noted that no wording whatsoever about COVID 19 appears on the website of this establishment. Nor was the matter of COVID ever mentioned in any emails sent to me by the establishment.

Pretty much everything! Location, views, comfort; exceptional quality of bedding and facilities, wonderful hosts.
Nothing. Can’t think of anything.

Excellent location. The deck is wonderful with BBQ, pizza oven and all the essentials. with the terrific views, hot tub and nightly visits from kangaroos and emus we didn’t need to go into Denham in the evening; cooking in and frequently enjoying the great company of Phil and Kerrie, the owners. We had the yellow room upstairs which was great and had all we needed. Thank you, made our holiday !

We stayed at Kerrie's and Phil's place for 6 nights and have been quite lucky to get the blueroom on the first floor with a veranda a nice view on the Peron National Park. The rooms are clean and very functional, i.e. everything that is necessary is available (A/C, kitchenette, WIFI, document box, USB chargers, breakfast, etc.). In the afternoons, when the wildlife from the park (incl. emus and different types of kangaroos) come out of for a drink at the water source that is installed at the B&B, the guest are invited to take a look and feed the animals with carrots which the owners provide. Both are very kind and lovely people who are always up for a chat and to provide guidance what to do when in Shark Bay. Also it is great to see that sustainability has been considered when the place was designed. There is a PV system installed on the roof and there even is a worm farm for certain types of kitchen waste. We recommend a stay in this accomodation more than other places in Denham and will definitely book it again when we happen to be back to Shark Bay.

What an amazing place to stay in Denham! Everything was great.....the nicely decorated room with good bed and shower, the view in general, the hottub with sea- and sunset-view, the kangaroos and emoes every day at your doorstep, the outdoor-kitchen en living-space, and good breakfast which you can prepare at your own time. And last but certainly not least....Phil and Kerrie are very friendly and helpfull, and they take good care of their guests. A-must-stay-place!

We spent 4 lovely nights in the "Blue room", enjoyed having our breakfast and afternoon drinks sitting on our private deck. The host took great care of us and the communal cooking/spa/dining areas where lovely. Would be a great place to stay with some friends :)

Host was very accommodating and helpful. Would definitely recommend, and we would go back.
That we had only booked for such a short time.

Our hosts were lovely. Breakfast was great and the sunsets spectacular.
I was expecting a self-contained apartment, and felt a little awkward using t)he (excellent) cooking facilities outside the hosts kitchen and another apartment.

I loved the personal service. You are given opportunities to select what you would like in your cook your own breakfast hamper. The spa was heated up and maintained for our use. The host and hostess were "around" and very amenable, but respected our privacy as well. It was fabulous!
