Not a lot. The frontage of the hotel was bright and welcoming, but it all stopped there
No other guests and a cold and impersonal welcome. Given a code to access the locks to the rooms Ans sent on our way. No signs of a meal or anything. I was in room 1 , Even wth the security light on, the key box was in complete darkness. That was just the start. My room had cobwebs, was freezing cold and mould on the wall in the bathroom. Shower in room 2 was filthy, the controls didn't work. My shower had to be taken off the holder to be effective. There is a lot more but I am submitting a complaint to booking.com. We had booked two nights but left the following morning. No breakfast as paid for as no access to the main Hotel. Depressing experience.aall round.

Near to where I had to be
Room needs a full clean. Shower head held together with tape! No where to hang clothes. Non existent sound proofing from upstairs, can hear them talking and stomping across the floor. Room door doesn't fit and people outside talking till late. Couldnt get wifi at all. Not ideal. Won't book again.

Nothing, fantastic for my requirements.

Location is close to family.
My partner and I were planning on staying here with my in laws when visiting family and booked two separate rooms. Upon arrival our room was very small and the shower was very mouldy. The front door also didn't seem secure. I did not feel comfortable spending the night so my partner and I left to go and stay elsewhere. My in laws decided to stay and felt it was the worst accommodation they've ever stayed in and worst night's sleep they've ever had. The room again was again very small, the door felt insecure and the neighbours were very noisy. They were woken up at 3am to the smell of cigarette smoke from the neighbours and lots of loud noise. Overall probably the worst experience we've all ever had with UK accomodation and absolutely would not recommend. Not worth the £85 we paid for each room.

Quiet - away from the bar and any noise.
Staff were not the most friendly or welcoming but that was not an issue for me

Clean, quite comfortable, plenty of parking room. Bar staff very friendly
No food available. No reception, no staff. You go into pub and are given a code to a key safe outside your assigned room. When you leave, you put the key back. Felt really weird.

I’ve never stayed in a hotel before when my room had no window. I think this is a fire hazard. If a fire broke out outside the door how do you get out !!!!!!

Comfortable room.Good evening meal at a very low price.Good beer at a sensible price.
Just a little bit tired in places.Shower hose poor.

The bed was short.

The old building and being located in a small village with rural views.
Shower entrance was small, tricky getting in and out of it. Lovely shower once in.

When we got to the room someone was already in my room so the room was double booked. We had to take another room which was much smaller, very disappointing. AND then after being in the room for 20 minutes we decided to go for a cigarette outside to which the man in the next room (room 6) opened his door and started shouting at us because he could here us talking in the room. After returning to the room 15 minutes later we got in bed and was watching TV and talking quietly when all of a sudden the man in room 6 started banging on our wall and shouting abuse so loud the mirror almost fell off the wall. My partner then get very scared and said she can't stay here so we had to sleep in the back of her car in the hotel car park. This was totally unacceptable from the hotel and guests. We tried a calling a number during the night for help but no one answered. We want a refund for our stay as we didn't even stay in the room at all.

Before booking the hotel advertised WI-FI and a bar with sports. Upon arrival there was a key safe on the wall which we had been given the code for access to the rooms which was Swift and efficient. The rooms are basic, very cold and the beds are not very comfy. There was no wifi, the bar shuts for the winter which was not advertised. During the evening I could not do any work due to poor signal. Then the fun started with the residents banging around until 2 in the morning, going for a cig every 5 minutes and having the tv and music on really loud. The walls are very thin so you can hear everything. It’s a shame as it’s a lovely building and could be so much more. There was no reception or anyone on site to sort the issues out with the noise, it was lucky in a sense we had a very angry contractor who shouted some choice words down the corridor and the culprits decided to pack up and leave otherwise it could have gone on longer. We packed our things and found another hotel at 5 am due to lack of sleep.
No wifi, bar, or anyone on site if needed.
