The property was perfectly located in the heart of the historic centre. Lovely architecture all around and within walking distance of all the main attractions. The apartment itself was a really interesting design, lovely old building, some quirky features which I like.Bed was extremely comfortable and it had everything in the kitchen we needed for a three day stay. The apartment was a on the third floor so six sets of stairs that are quite steep so bare this in mind.
Unfortunately the location was quite noisy, each morning at approximately 4.15am the bin trucks arrive to empty the bins in the area, this can easily wake you if a light sleeper. There is also currently construction work happening almost outside the apartments which is extremely noisy. There is usually a singer performing outside the restaurants close by and you can hear this in the room until 8-9pm. I actually really enjoyed this however it may affect your stay. I appreciate all of this is beyond the control of the hosts. They were lovely and communicated well throughout process. It’s just something to be aware of.

Beautiful apartments in a lovely historic building with lovely views of the city. Spotlessly clean and comfortable.
Nothing.

The location was perfect for anybody visiting Porto for the first time as easy walking distance to main attractions. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. Amazing views of the city.
There were a few stairs but it was worth it for the view.

Central location, great views, very clean!

very good location, good small kitchen, helpful support by staff
a bit loud, but that was mainly due to the construction site nearby and the St John's festival at the weekend, so all ok

Great location! Nice apartment with everything I needed.
Bathroom faucet was loose. All else was good.

Venue was excellent. Apartment was spotless and very comfortable.
Only a small thing but sensor lighting on the stairs would be much safer as over 80 steps up to the apartment, which was ok but lighting poor.

Great location, excellent flat- nicely decorated, spacious, clean and comfortable. Great value for money compared with other places.

We absolutely loved this place! Our family of four got two separate rooms, but they were on the same floor so it was like we had our own little apartment. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfy, the location was perfect, and the views were some of the best we've seen. We can't recommend this place enough, it's one of our favorite places we've ever stayed in!

Wonderful location right in the middle of the historic part of Porto. A beautiful old building which has been tastefully converted into apartments - it has high ceilings and large rooms and lots of character and very pleasant to be in.
We were on the 4th floor with no lift but impossible to put in without destroying the character of the building. Anyway it won't be a problem for all you youngsters.

It’s very close to attractions, St Francis church, riverfront, and good restaurants.
Community garbage cans are in front of apartment building. Every night and before Dawn there is an extremely noisy garbage collection. Construction for city renovation closed part of the pedestrian only street in front.

Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Room was as pictured. Bed was fairly comfortable. The location of the apartment was great in relation to dining and the waterfront- all within easy walking distance.
The noise really was an issue- aside from the recycling bins being dumped into repeatedly through the night, the trucks came to pick up in the middle of the night. The tiny bathroom was very cramped with thin towels that could use an upgrade.

for being in the heart of Porto it’s really quite especially at night .
great if you have a bottom apartment, but the 86 steps to the 4th floor apartment is really to much

Being on the 4th floor with no lift.I need to be more vigilant in my booking in future

Location was perfect, in terms of being close to the historical center, shopping, riverfront, restaurants, etc. Room was exactly as pictured, and very welcoming. The bed was very comfortable. Small kitchenette but includes everything you might need. Also, the huge windows that open onto the street front; just a lovely feature. Location is also very close to two small grocery/wine stores so easy to shop for essentials/snacks, etc.
The noise is an issue. The property is right in the middle of construction for the new metro line, and the noise can be 24 hours. Even without that noise, you are a few steps away from a bar/restaurant that plays loud music well into the night, and a “curbside” garbage/recycling drop off into which all the local businesses (especially bars and restaurants) dump their bottles and garbage, again, at any time of the day or night. The property owners do supply earplugs, which actually work quite well at cutting down the noise you’ll hear, but it would have been nice to have been made aware of the level of noise beforehand. Additional dislikes: the lights do not automatically come on in the stairwell, making it dark/shadowed and tricky to navigate if a lot of packages or heavy suitcases.

the proximity to town was fabulous and the apartment was very good
there were a lot of stairs and our room was quite dark. our friends stayed in room 41 which was a much brighter room that our 32 but noisier. it’s all a trade off

The location was superb. Love several restaurants within 5 min walk and close to lively bar areas at night (maybe 15 min walk). The host was extremely nice and allowed us to check in early. The room was spacious and the juliette balcony lovely which offered a nice breeze at night.
It did get loud about an hour each morning due to construction or late night people coming home from the clubs but the host provided ear plugs which really did help and it didn't last long. The stairs are quite steep - totally doable and worth it honestly for the location but after walking a lot during the day they could be tiring at night. I would have liked the host to better explain where the light switch was upon entry to the building because the first night we walked the stairs with our phone flashlights as we were unable to see any light switches per floor. We did find it and it was fine but that would have been good to know up front.

Location, size of room and balcony all good. Easy to access, and well styled.
Construction of the subway out the front 24/7, the noise never stopped. Otherwise, it was great. There was no working fan in the bathroom.

The room was well laid out and the bed comfortable. Great size for two people. The location was excellent! A very short walk down to the river and close to shopping and restaurants. Very much enjoyed our stay.

Comfortable, imaginative and spacious, good kitchen facilities, great location and Rebecca was extremely helpful. Everywhere is walkable from here. Earbuds provided to guard against inner-city construction noise.

The building is so beautiful, the apartment is beautifully decorated, very elegant yet cozy at the same time, plenty of space, very functional, mix of old and modern, it was amazing in every way!
Great location right in Ribeira. We were even allowed to leave our luggage in the apartment free of charge while we visited the city on the last day before our evening flight. Thank you for everything!
The bathroom door did not have a handle on the inside, so someone had to push it closed from the outside!

The location couldn’t be better to explore the historic area without taxis and it’s a short walk from the train station. Room was spacious enough for two and was lovely with the exposed stone walls and the aroma from the chocolate shop below in the stairwell was intoxicating! Relatively quiet for a busy area, famous bridge and river a quick walk away. The host was very helpful responding quickly.
If I had to say anything, the key to the room was tricky but we did eventually figure it out🤪.

The property is super centrally located. It’s 2 blocks from the waterfront and in the heart of the historic district. We rented the two one-bedroom apartments at the top floor which is listed as the 5th floor as Europeans count and the 6th floor for Americans. The host Rebecca pointed out that we’re on the top floor and there’s no elevator. We knew this from the description so no worries on our end. The apartments themselves have been renovated not too long ago and they were clean and bright. the view from the one overlooking the city is amazing. the other side faces a courtyard but still ok since it’s so high up. The beds and bedding were to our liking and the kitchen seemed fairly stocked though we didn’t cook there. They sent cleaning people every other day to stock towels and clean the dishes. Rebecca was very responsive to a few small issues we had. I would definitely go back.
There’s major metro construction in the entire area and likely will be for a long time yet. They work 24/7. We knew this reading through the comments and it really didn’t bother us too much. we used a noise maker at night for the bedroom facing the street. you couldn’t really hear it in the bedroom facing the courtyard. this also means that Ubers have a hard time navigating the area and you can’t get dropped off right in front of the building. cabs may be able to get in through if they can open the gate things. again, not an issue for us at all. we only walked half a block and caught our rides there. overall the location was so excellent that all these small nuisances didn’t bother us too much.
