Kleines altmodisches Hostel mit schönem Garten

Schönes kleines Hostel mit nur 3 Zimmern in einer ruhigen Gegend, Möglichkeit zum Sitzen im Garten Echte Retro Ausstattung in der Küche

Wir waren in einer Ausnahmesituation hier, die Frau des Betreibers war kurz vorher verstorben und das Hostel wurde vertretungsweise von einem Bekannten versorgt, dementsprechend hat einiges wahrscheinlich nicht so geklappt wie sonst. Deshalb hier keine Angabe

A lot of space, rest and comfortable stay.

Our rooms didn’t have a door which was annoying when people started talking. There isn’t a lounge room for in the evening.

Solo Explorer

The owner (Roy) is a very nice man who has been very helpful and working hard to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Location is good, and there are plenty of restaurants and stores in that area. Main bus station is 15 miutes walk.

The big disappointment of my holiday.

There was the old house above that was lovely maybe the money was spent here.(I believe the owners live there).

To start with, I arrived at the property and was shocked with the condition, I made the mistake of seeing on the booking.com sight that this accommodation had five stars so I paid ahead of time. I did not stay and lost my money. I recommend a visit before you pay as this property is definitely not five stars, and the house picture is the only true photo.

Location is good and the person responding to comments from guests on Booking.com has an interesting sense of humor :)

The whole house needs a complete renovation. It is very tight and crowded. I am sure that the owner if he had to use the bathroom himself, would renovate it very quickly. Unfortunately, the kitchen is also old and dirty. It was very cold during my stay so I asked for an electric heater. The answer made me laugh - the heating season hasn't started yet...

Poor

Convenient for city with nice walks nearby. Lovely garden and a really pretty park just round the corner. Our room was basic but clean and bed was comfy.

Of the 20 different hostels we stayed in during our recent trip to NZ, this was easily the poorest. We stayed at cheaper places that were far cleaner and better equipped. Other than our bedroom, the house was generally messy and not very clean. The kitchen was tiny and in need of a good scrub so in spite of the free breakfast, we didn't eat there. Only one shower available and the room was pretty grubby with dirty, stained bathmats I wouldn't have touched with a bargepole. There's a difference between homely and scruffy and unfortunately this crossed the line for us.

Cleanliness is not up to my standard. There was a forgotten socks begind the nighttable next to my bed. However biggest point for me is the bathroom, if I understand well it should be renovated but it really smells like mold there

Lovely host,taken advantage of by others though.

Location was good. No breakfast. Lovely elderly gentlemen taking care of business, obviously needed a hand though.

Double bed jammed up against the wall... but we were aware of this from the photos.

It is a very comfortable accommodation & is within short walking distance to main spine of commercia

Simple nice breakfast & drinks were provided, its safe lots of time to buy from shops. We were welcomed by the very friendly owner Rob; we were able to have long fun chats along the way

We are satisfied with the provision.
