Perfect location in Centro, close to everything.

The only positive thing is good location in the old town center and kind bellboy ready to help.
Very old building in need of renovation. Maximum 3 stars not 4, bad ratio value vs. price. Unfriendly recepcionists.

We liked the historical feel, historical framed pictures throughout the building are charming. The location is amazing. we overlooked the busy zócalo. The roof top Pool with restaurant and bar service was perfect on hot days. Friendly service.
We were content with things showing quite a bit of wear and tear, in the room and around the pool.

Great location and staff really helpful. Pool area is really good and restaurant is ok. Good prices for the rooms.
The hotel needs an upgrade...it looks a bit tired. Rooms overlooking the Zocalo are a bit noisy...we were there though over semana santa so there was amplified music every night...it was manageable though with ear plugs. It it not that bad normally based on a previous stay.No fitness room. I would stop there again though.

The room was large and the internet fast. Hot water in shower came immediately.
Great location at the Zocalo but loud if your room faces the Zocalo.
The wifi had no password, thus the Wifi connection was not encrypted. Use of VPN necessary.
The showers at the pool did not work, chairs were dirty.
The ventilation of the hotel was just outside my room, making noise.

I had such a great stay here. My room was large, clean, and comfortable, and it looked out over the lively zócalo (main square) toward the Gulf. (There were political rallies, Christmas celebrations, and other events going on while I was there, but the happy noise had all stopped by 10:00 or 11:00 p.m. I never had trouble sleeping.) The wifi worked great. Staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. There is a Sanborn's on the ground floor and a hotel restaurant on the second floor -- which is also where the delightful pool area is to be found. (I had it to myself for the most part.) The hotel, again, is right on the zócalo and close to all of the sights, including the malecón (waterfront esplanade). Many of my favorite places to hang out are steps away, e.g., the Gran Café del Portal and the Cervecería Heroica en Los Portales. Taxis are easy to get to the airport, bus station, and San Juan de Ulúa Fort. City tours leave a couple of blocks away at the start of the malecón. Veracruz is truly an underrated destination, in my opinion. It has a very tropical/Caribbean vibe and so many of the things that tourists look for. At the same time, it is a working port and center of naval operations. I loved the mix and cannot wait to go back.
Everything was great!

The swimming pool area and the breakfast at the restaurant.
The lack of a parking space next to the hotel and the fact that everyday in the morning somebody knocked at the door asking for something.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel due to its proximity to the zocalo. I was able to get up and go walk around in no time. There are many thing to do near the hotel and the malecon is walking distance. I enjoyed my stay and the price was very reasonable for the location.
