Flugzeuge beobachten.

There was no aircon in the room, so extremely warm and uncomfortable when temperature was reaching 28-30 degrees.
For breakfast you completed an order form the day before. I found that I quite fancied something else come the next day. Clearly a good idea to try and cut down on waste but not necessarily the best for all customers.

The male receptionist in the counter was really helpful and friendly and without even asking, gave me information on how to smoothly get back from my concert. The bed wad also very comfortable

Nice and silent location. Good looking premises. Nice garden.
Actually nothing wrong with the Hotel as such, BUT...
It started with a extremely bad flight service from Eurowings. They delayed the departure from SE in several steps. After almost 4h we were able to take off part 1. Part 2 Hamburg - Düsseldorf was even worse. They changed the flight to Cologne instead with several more hours in delay.
None of this is of course the Hotels fault. But due to extremely bad handling from Eurowings we had to send a "No show-up" message to the hotel Fischerhaus and book one night in Cologne instead.
Fischerhaus replied that they unfortunately couldn't do any refund for the first night as that was how the rules were when we booked. Nothing to say about that either. We understood and accepted that.
Day 2 we finally arrived at Hotel Fischerhaus late afternoon at 7 pm.
We told that our flight next morning had departure at 7.10 am and that we therefore wished to get a small breakfast take away bag instead. Nothing big, just a Sandwich.
"Oh dear, oh no", what a pitty that you didn't tell us this earlier, the kitchen staff has gone home now (funny as they didn't even have a restaurant).
The short with the long was that the man in the reception had no interest in/was unable to help us make two sandwiches...
I have to admit that we weren't very impressed by this inability to make two sandwiches. Especially since we already have had to pay them for two unused rooms for one night. This unused two rooms had already given them 258€ (129 x 2€ Su - Mo). We checked-in anyhow, even if we were a bit disappointed.
We ordered a beer each. We went to the nice Restaurant Gulash, back again the man in the reception wondered if we wanted anything before closing. We ordered one more beer each. Then came the bill for 4 beers...
We thought that 16€ beer could have been a compensation, but no. He was well aware of our abscence the night before, but he "blaimed it on the boss" I'm sorry, but you must pay.

Quaint and very comfortable. Staff was incredibly nice and helpful.
No restaurant due to closing due to pandemic. But restaurants within 5 minute walk so not too big of a concern.

Hotel personnel were amazingly helpful.. Location of the hotel is perfect which allows you to take a walk by river Rheine any time.. If you do search for a peaceful business trip in Duesseldorf, then this hotel is the right place to stay...

parking place is not enough

The gentlemen on duty Mr. Helmut was extremely kind and nice - you do not meet today frequently such nice and welcoming people doing it from the heart and not formally. Although the promises do not have a restaurant any more, the guests are received with a home made eggliquer and can enjoy a beer or glass of wine in the small garden; Mr. Helmut explains in exemplary way where you can go for dinner or drink; the breakfast was more than good - huge choice, eggs from the own production, clean and cosy! Clean calm rooms. Nice opportunities for walk on Rhine river.
It is far from the center but that was for me not a problem - I knew it anyhow.
They used to have a 2-star Michelin restaurant which is unfortunately closed.

The host was very pleasant and helpful, the room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was very good, coffee and a well cooked egg was asked at the table. A very wonderful stay and would recommend this hotel to everyone!
In the morning, airplanes fly overhead which causes what noise disturbance.
