breakfast basic but nice. Staff very connected to the hotel , they were very friendly.
Premises was well kept and gives you a jungle ambiance.

The location was perfect for Sepilok - a short walk to the orangutan and sun bear sanctuaries.
The food at the Banana Cafe was reasonably priced and tasty. We didn’t use the pool at the property but it looked nice!
The room was clean but basic.

Imagine meeting an Orang Utan in the hall of our accommodation trying to open the individual doors. It was a sweet and adolescent one. In one room he found some sunscreen, but it didn't taste that well. Hilarious!
The balconies attached to the room provide a glimpse into the lush garden that feels like jungle already and somehow is.
Additionally, the boardwalk above the pond to the banana restaurant felt like a magic walk through another world.
Beautiful locarion! Absolutely recommendable

Excellent location close to the Sepilok Orangutan sanctuary and beautiful tropical setting. Pick the air-conditioned rooms. Pool was great for the kids and adults alike. The attached Banana cafe did great good and delicious fresh juices. Value for money.

The surrounding and the grounds are really beautiful!
the grounds really don’t match the room. really needs updating and maintenance done to it. quite expensive for what it is. the staff weren’t that helpful, especially the waiting staff. they would concentrate on your groups (which there are a lot of) so individuals just didn’t get any service. I waited half an hour to order, she kept saying she would come back and kept attending to the tour groups. the room was really basic which is fine but they didn’t even supply drinking water and you have to pay the extortionate price at the restaurant.

The food was a mixte of American....eggs toast, fruits and also malaysian.
The location is a 10, you can walk to the both bears and auraoutang in less then 10 minutes.
I wish they could have give us the cofee and tea before 7h30. Some people wake up at 6h00 and have to wait until 7h30 for a coffee. yes we have coffee and tea in the room but no milk..

fantastic resort in Sepilok, although a little run down in places
we had a twin, aircon, en suite room which was huge and spacious
pool area was fantastic to cool off from a day exploring the RDC, although could do with a clean
restaurant was great, lots of food options, of what we had, we couldn’t fault it!
less than a 5min walk to the Orangutan + Sun bear conservation centres
nothing

Great location close to Sepilok forest, Orang Utang, and Sun Bear Centres. The staff running the place realy are second to none. You certainly get service with a smile. This includes the domestic cleaning team that kept us supplied with towels,, water , tea, coffee, toilet rolls, and shower gel.The food is also excellent. We arranged our trip to Kitabatangan River through the Jungle Resort which was also excellent.
We enjoyed our stay and recommend Sepilok Jungle Resort.
Sepilok Jungle Resort is slightly run down and in need of some TLC. The rooms are on the dark side with unnecessary furniture items that make the area cluttered.
The pool could be a lot cleaner. The first row of tiles above the water level were filthy. A nice area sadly let down by the lack of cleanliness.

The restaurant area has a nice chilled vibe and the pool is great too!
Rooms could definitely have been cleaner!

The property is walking distance to both the sun bear and orangutan sanctuary as well as the discovery centre. The room was clean, the property was in great condition and really beautiful. The walk over to the pool is stunning, you walk across a canopy style bridge and water. Good value including breakfast.
Food was quite pricey (20 RM per meal) and not the best quality and not a massive selection. Breakfast was pretty basic with some odd food choices including chicken nuggets one day. The pool was nice but the water didn’t look particularly clean (there was a plaster in the water and it looked quite murky). There is no water refill.

Great swimming pool. Restaurant serves good food and the staff is very nice. Location next to the orangutan rehabilitation centre is also very convenient.

Good location
Facilities were absolutely filthy- toilets next to changing room clearly aren’t cleaned and bathrooms in the rooms were gross. Pool was also not clean and lots of dead bugs in the corridors . Really disappointing and would not recommend at all for families with young children.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautifully laid out resort that really makes you feel that you are in the heart of the jungle. Our rooms were clean, comfortable and functional. Bed comfy. Shower pressure and temperature good. Aircob worked well. Again very nicely decorated in a style that really fit well with the natural vibe of the resort.
Great location for the Orangutan and Sun Bear sanctuaries which are right on your doorstep. The rainforest discovery center is also only a short 10 minute walk away on paved walkway. Grabs were also readily available for longer trips into Sandakan which was about 30 mins away and Sandakan Airport about 20 mins.
Pool was very nice a good way to relax and cool off after a day's exploring.
Food in the Banana cafe was tasty and had enough variety considering the rural setting. Will happily stay again when we return to Sepilok.

bathrooms not cleaned, beds uncomfortable, not enough plugs in rooms for the dorms beds, wifi not good in dorms

1. Close vicinity to all the attractions in Sepilok.
2. Staffs are very courteous & helpful.
3. Swimming pool & banana cafe.
4. Internationally recognized, many foreigners.
1. Main access road should be improved (cover the potholes, before the next Borneo Bird Festival)
2. Too many dogs (not Muslim friendly)
3. Shower water flow not strong enough.

Lush grounds around the property , large ponds and whimsical boardwalks, super nice staff !
The rooms are worn out , plenty of smoke from burning leaves and other organic debris .
3.5 / 5.0
Breakfast is simple with good quality foods. Staffs are very friendly, helpful and offered flexibility with our problems encountered. Environments is good for relax and quiet holiday. Location is near to attractions like Sepilok Orang Utan rehabilitation centre and Borneo Sun Bear Cente.
Two of the 3 Superior Twin bedroom booked have stinky smells from poor ventilation or Sewage in toilet. Recommended to have exhaust fan for each toilet.
4.5 / 5.0
Convenient location, room was spacious and clean. Strong wifi. Dinner and breakfast was decent and reasonably priced, given that there is no competition around. Overall beautiful Resort and our expectations were met.
Bit confusing arrival with the two entrances.

A really big and beautiful property, close to the sun bear and orangutan 🦧 centers. Walking distance to a couple of restaurants at more expensive resorts.
Very kind staff, good pool, comfortable rooms and a bit of a nostalgic feel because the property seems to have been built around the 1970s, at least judging by the style of it.
we had a misfortune to get a clogged toilet in our bathroom, which seriously affected how we feel about our stay and thr comfort. The entire experience would have been much better otherwise. It happened during the night and the toilet started releasing plopping sounds. the flushing only made it worse and it threatened to spill out. We could not use it, which was a big source of anxiety and discomfort. We reported it to the reception in the morning upon check out.
We think it is because they do not warn their customers not to throw toilet paper into the toilet, so it clogged the system. There should be clear signs everywhere that paper must not be thrown into the toilet
They should also clearly inform their guest that they offer water refills, which they di, for a small price, and reduce plastic pollution.
Finally, they should prohibit use of sunscreen on the pool. We saw some European kids spread it all over themselves before jumping into the pool! disgusting, unnecessary, and completely mindless. And then they go and complain about the cleanliness of the pool water in their reviews, bravo.
So, the hotel has a lot to work on in order to both provide better comfort to guest but also reduce reasons for complaints by rude guests who do not care about their environment or other people.

Surroundings lovely, super close to orangutans
Basic room, toilet didn't always flush, but it was fine for us, especially being in a jungle

The property is so close to the orangutan and sun bear sanctuary’s. in beautiful surroundings. the air on unit in our room was brand new. The WiFi in our room (no. 48) was great.
Staff we’re friendly and helpful.
A few reviews have said there is nowhere nearby to go for food but we walked to two other resorts (5-10 mins) and had some lovely food.
The property is very tired and run down in areas. The ‘gym’ isn’t functional and the toilet by it is dirty.
The pool could do with being cleaned more regularly and the area around it could also do with some maintenance. There appears to be a pool bar but with nothing in it.
Food in the restaurant is ok, but not the best.

Few minutes walk away from the orangutans and sun bears. The property is beautiful with ponds and bridges. Owner likes to come and talk to you and tell you all the work he has put into the property and how he was the first resort there. We were in a superior ac room and it was lovely. Pool was also a blessing in the heat. Food was good.
Liked everything. Pool could use a bit more chemicals but that is a minor criticism.

The location of the hotel is perfect, there is a beautiful nature around and also close by Orangutan Rehabilitation Center and Rainforest Discovery Center, which we visited both and can recommended. Pool is great to refreshing after trip.
Meal is not so good and there aren't many options to go elsewhere to eat.

The pool was big and there were plenty of sun beds
