The location was fantastic opposite the monastery and just a short walk to the main square. The building was lovely and the staff very welcoming
There was no hot water for a shower

Friendly staff, specially at breakfast
Pillows were huge and horrible
Breakfast was too simple and plain

Great location, secure with friendly staff, clean, and rooms are actually serviced every day. 13 Nuns Restaurant has to be one of the best in the world with hundreds in the area to pick from. Real genuine fresh quality food.
Nothing!

Location
The room was very impersonal, although comfortable. The whole building is full of alleys and semi levels, (old building converted into a hotel). Might be charming for some, and uncorfortable for others.

Really terrible. Very poor choice, stale bread, rancid butter, fake juice, bad coffee. The only bad food we ate in all of Peru in 4 weeks. Just awful.
The breakfast. And check in procedure was very poor, no welcome, just brusque demanding passport and money.
This is a lovely hotel in a lovely location with some very good employees but we got impression that staff were demotivated and badly managed. A hotel that could make much more of itself and be really special.

Great location opposite Sta Carolina monastery
Beautiful courtyard and other old features
Good clean refurbished rooms
Breakfast very average

Located in the historical center of Arequipa and right next to an amazing Monasterio that you absolutely need to visit, as well as great restaurant. A bit simple but clean, breakfast was ok

great location, hotel is very beautiful.
room is very small and front desk is hard to reach from the room.

beautiful setting. Nice fresh fruit at breakfast. Jaime, the waiter was always very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed at breakfast. Good quality tv in the room
Our floor (4th) often smelt like sewage. when I mentioned this to the staff, they just denied it.
The cooked element of the breakfast was not great. there is a nightclub very close to the property and on the weekends can be pretty noisy.

The property is very close to the city center, restaurants, entertainment, etc. It was quite the perfect location. The rooms were also very clean, and the staff was phenomenal. They were always available to answer our questions and were very helpful with suggesting what to do around town. But what stood out most is that they truly seek to satisfy their customers. Hot tea was made available in the lobby daily, they happily greeted us each morning, and they allowed us to store our bags in their storage room for a few hours after we had checked.

This booking was not for me but for my brother and his family. He was really happy and felt comfortable all the time, he mentioned the breakfast was awesome and the staff were really helpful :).

The rooms were nice and big. The location was ideal, two blocks from Plaza de Armas, close to many restaurants and tourist sites.
The breakfast selection was basic, mostly cold.

The location is as good as it gets! Next to the Santa Catalina Monastery, a short walk to Plaza de Armes, staff was wonderful, a great restaurant with exceptional staff. Would come back anytime.

convenient location, very clean and friendly staff; entrance to the Santa Catalina monastery is across the street about 50ft away

Very close to Plaza de Armas and many restaurants and shops. Old stonework in the lobby and main arreas was gorgeous, though rooms are updated to accommodate modern amenities. Staff were polite and there were elevators—a rarity in Peruvian hotels for sure.
The only complaint I have about the property is that the floors were very dirty. I made the mistake of stepping on the floor with bare feet after my shower and by the time I walked to the bed the bottom of my feet went from clean to black.
I was a little grossed out that the floor clearly hadn’t been cleaned. At the end of the day when I returned to the room, I saw that housekeeping had made the bed and cleaned the room….minus the floors. The vinyl flooring was visibly dirty with piles of dust in the corners. I made sure I kept my socks on when walking in the room. Before I left I had to clean my socks (only worn once the entire trip and only in my hotel room) because they were black from the dirty flooring. While everything else in the room appeared clean, the lack of basic sweeping made me a little hesitant about their cleaning methods in general.
