The location is the best for us(we only stay for one night and we are flying the second day), from Beijing train station to the hotel, it's only 15 mins walk(with big/heavy luggages), no stairs to climb, very easy to walk. The second day it's only 2 to 3 mins walk to subway station建国门, then from there we can connect to airport express in one hour, I can't ask for more.
The room is big and comfortable. In the night it's quite quiet even we are facing the main street(maybe it's due to during Chinese New year, there's not that much traffic anyway). The staff is very kind and helpful, because all the kitchen are closed, they helped us to order food delivery door to door, providing us useful tips without asking. We would definitely come back!

The room was massive!! It was very clean, you could tell it was older but very clean. Massive bath and shower! And the free hot springs were great! Location is awesome! So easy to get everywhere!
The breakfast is not worth the money. We were on a non smoking floor yet next door continually smoked making our room smell. The hotel did not address this. On check out day we had two suitcases, we each had easily over 40 kgs of luggage and my mum had hurt her foot so was struggling to walk. The station to get to the airport was a 20 min walk (down streets with cobblestone paths) and the hotel would not get as a taxi as it was ‘too difficult’ because it was so close. They rolled their eye at us and snickered because we wanted a cab but they would not arrange this for us or help us ask the taxi driver if he would drop us given the luggage and injury. They said we either walk or pay hundreds of RMB for the taxi to take us to the airport. This was not a nice way to end our stay there.

The bed was very good. Huge and comfortable.
Comfortable seating and two large modern TVs
Decent sized fridge, and it was clean.
Enough variety at breakfast for most people to find something to eat,, although it might not necessarily be something you'd normally have for breakfast.
The room was generally a bit tired and worn, my exec double room had two bathrooms! but the shower in one was just a bit too low for an average height westerner and the other one had a couple of niggky faults that made it a bit awkward to use too.
These were minor issues though, there was good water pressure with plenty of piping hot water.
Room service options seemed limited and communication was a bit hard work as I only speak a few words of Mandarin. I ate out most nights. I'd also say you need to be ready to accept things the way they are if you want to eat out in the surrounding area. To be fair though I didn't try the hotel restaurant in the evening so can't comment on that.

Really nice comfy big room, lovely bathroom and bath facilities. The hotel has a Fab fish pond in thr lobby and it really is clean and good value for money.
It's not really that near anything except a big motorway. We couldn't find anywhere to go within walking distance and the staff had no english so unfortunately they couldn't help direct us anywhere. We just got taxis to areas that weren't that far and taxis are cheap.
