Alessandro and Rita were the kindest hosts imaginable! When we arrived by train, Alessandro met us by car and drove us to this lovely farmhouse apartment. Rita had baked a galette to welcome us which was delicious. The apartment was spacious and beautifully appointed, It was just as represented on the website, only better. The grounds were beautifully kept up and the view was amazing. We absolutely LOVED this place! Cortona is absolutely charming. This was my husband's first visit to Italy, and he can't wait to return.
The farmhouse is located halfway between Cortona-Camuchia and Cortona itself which sits on top of the hill. There is a bus within easy walking distance of the driveway which runs about every hour. However, Alessandro showed us a trail at the upper end of his property where you could walk to town in 20-30 minutes which was great.

The owners met us at a nearby location and showed us the way to the property. They were super lovely people and the house was spotless and charming. Perfect location to explore Cortona, just on the hill below the walled city. You can walk up to the city if you want a short hike.
After checking in, the owners showed me how to get to the grocery store and when I realized that I forgot my phone to navigate back, they waited for me to complete some shopping and lead me back to the house!
At the house there are 2 units and the other unit was occupied by an amazing British family who invited my son over for lunch as I went out to explore and then we all went to dinner at their favorite restaurant in Cortona. They told me that they come back to this house every year.
