Dangerous electrics

The location is good and the owner gave us a warm welcome, paid cash on arrival at the rate we booked. It’s not too noisy at night, we were in room 8 on the third floor corner by the street, there was some music from the boats but it stopped about 9pm. Short walk to restaurants and the main plaza.

Dangerous electrics in the bathroom, the electric shower head had exposed live wires connecting it to the plug, right above you showering, this made us very uncomfortable and we almost left. The plug socket in the bathroom next to the sink was also hanging from the wall, any splashing water could have hit the cables. The only socket in the bedroom was also hanging out the wall, inconveniently placed behind the mattress. There’s a light outside the room which constantly switches on/off on a sensor all night long, perhaps a faulty sensor but shines straight through the thin curtain into the room. Also the windows are slatted glass and have huge gaps when closed between the panes. As this room was on the corner by the balcony, a lot of people sat right outside our door & window on the chairs/table, perhaps if it’s made a private area for that room only, it’ll prevent disturbances from other guests. If the owners sorts these issues out, it would have been a pleasant stay.

The lady running the hotel is a sweetheart and did everything possible to accommodate us and make sure that we were comfortable. The building is secure, and the room is simple but had everything needed.

Good for a one night visit

The room was good for a 1 night stay and the host was very warm and friendly. Great location about 10 min walk from the centre.

The wifi didn’t work and the shower was cold. Our room was next to the reception so it was a bit noisy at night and in the morning, but overall fine

Superb

I arrived in the morning to leave my backpack and Berta gave me my room right away even if it was early. She is very kind. The hotel is a short walk to the center (5 min) so it is quiet enough to have a good sleep.

Wifi doesnt work very well. It didnt work in my room and public space was on and off, but its a small detail, other than that everything was perfect!

The host was nice.

The room had a window only to the inside of the hostel. The shower was bad, cold water and with a kind of machine that heats the water and connected to the electricity and it seems dangerous. You can hear everything outside the room and people were talking loud until late and it was hard to sleep

The room was great. The place was clean. Great location. The only problem: wifi was not working. I mentioned it several times but nothing was done.

great location and they are so helpful and kind.

there’s like a disco or pub nearby so when we stayed we could head the music loud as if it was right outside the door. We suggest you bring earplugs as even if someone walks or talks outside you hear everything very loudly. but other than the noise the place is great and. the owners are really nice.

Superb

The room was basic, but large and clean, with hot showers. Good location, really close to the both the centre of Guatape and the lake. The owner was so lovely, and really welcoming. Great value for money.

Could do with better soundproofing; the windows let in quite a lot of noise from the street outside.
