About this house rental

This 4500 SQ FT custom designed and amish built waterfront lake home, Kentucky themed decor throughout the house with 5 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms and sleeps 10. A sleeper sofa in the loft area adds space for 2 more. High end appliances. The kitchen is well stocked with countertop appliances and tools for cooking & baking.
The basement has 10 foot ceilings. High Efficiency Washer and Dryer along with On-Demand Tankless Water Heater. There is plenty to do in the Kentucky themed man cave with large screened TV, billiards, full size electronic game machine and a copper top card table for games.
The house sits on 1.2 acres high on a cliff overlooking the Nolin River lake. This home is one of a kind with endless views of Nolin Lake, rolling hills and breathtaking sunsets from multiple decks. It is conveniently located 30 miles from Mammoth Cave National Park, 70 miles south of Louisville, and 110 miles north of Nashville. The Kentucky Bourbon Trail or Churchill Downs-Kentucky Derby can provide a bluegrass state experience. If you are looking for a getaway for boating, canoeing, fishing or just relaxing while enjoying views of the lake and wildlife, our walkout on the water is the perfect place. Special attractions; bald eagle and blue heron birdwatching. Bears have also been spotted within a three mile radius.
Nolin Lake was designed for flood control and the water levels draw down starting in mid October. Nolin River is still accessible for fishing, hiking and treasure hunting around the bank from November through March. The lake levels start to rise to summer pool in mid March. Search for the waterfall in the cove behind our property that is only visible when the lake level drops.
This property is monitored by exterior security camera's 7x24 on all sides and levels.

Highly recommend - would rent again!! Beautiful, extremely clean property/set-up/location for friends and Corvettes! The home layout is great with a large common area (huge kitchen/dining/great room) on the main level and in the basement (nice pool table), with lots of deck space outdoors to gather together. The only en-suite bath is in the master on the main floor, 2BR upstairs share a bath and 2BR in basement share a bath. Privacy is great and roads are great….~1 hour to the Corvette Museum, lots of winding roads to drive and just around the cove from Wax Marina on Nolin Lake.

The home was everything in the pictures & more. Beautiful quiet setting with peaceful views of the sky and land. The owners were super friendly and offered nuggets of info to navigate the nearest tourist sites. Five Star For Sure!!!!

Wow, the house was amazing! And we did so many activities in the area. We did several cave tours, Corvette museum, hikes and just exploring. Every morning I sat out on the porch and had my coffee. And the game room kept all of us busy. Most of the group enjoyed the pool table. I loved the Pac Man. Would absolutely recommend this home.

We had a fantastic stay. We had everything we needed. The house is spacious , with lots of sitting space in the living room and dinning areas. It was clean and well maintained. The hosts were accessible and very easy to work with. We would definitely stay here again.

I've stayed at MANY VRBOs, and most have been excellent, but this property is the best one yet! The location is great to visit Mammoth Cave, Makers Mart, Bourbon Trail, Jim Beam, Louisville, Corvette museum, Lincoln's birthplace and boyhood home and many other attractions. The house was fabulous and we were lucky to have our stay during peak fall colors. The kitchen has two refrigerators, and is the best stocked kitchen I've had so far. The bedrooms were comfortable and the master bedroom has a screened sitting room with an outside gas fire ring. The home is kept is maintained extremely well and appears to be a new build but is over ten years old. The showers are large and the shower heads are like new. A wrap around deck is perfect for outdoor relaxing. Many board games, horse shoes, corn hole, pool table, pac-man and others. Over all it's a 10, a true gem.

We needed a central location for a family vacation with our adult children so we chose Lake Nolin. We definitely chose wisely when we picked this home. The photos were great yet still did not do it justice. Tons of space, great location, beautiful decor and accommodating hosts! We didn’t even leave the house on one of our days. Lovely space to just be together.

We vacationed at Ron and Kathy’s beautiful lake home to celebrate two 50th birthdays. The house was more than we imagined. More than enough space for 8 adults 50+. We spent most of our time on the balcony and in the kitchen. We cooked in and barbecued everyday. We enjoyed the beautiful view and watching the wildlife. We rented a pontoon one afternoon which was easy to get to and had an amazing time traveling around Lake Nolin. The game room was a plus and we especially loved that there was a corn hole set to play on the back patio. The orientation tour/check-in was thorough and the communication outstanding. Beautiful place for a relaxing getaway. We truly enjoyed our time together. Thank you.

We were a group of 4 couples who are 60+ year olds who stay in a vrbo house every spring and fall. We like to porch sit, eat, and relax while we visit with each other. This was a great home for that. Well equipped kitchen. Seating areas indoor and outdoor accommodated our 8 adult group well. The only tiny draw back was that our group likes a designated bath on the same floor as each bedroom. One couple had to go downstairs to use a separate bathroom from the shared one on the second floor. We would recommend this home to anyone. It had everything you would need for a great vacation.

Wow! The listing doesn't do the property justice. The sunset views are gorgeous, the stars at night are plentiful, and the serenity is unparallel. Ron and Kathy are great hosts! They gave us plenty of tips for things to do around, and they've got printouts of everything to keep things easy. The property is also enormous! Even if you never left, there's so much to stay entertained and comfortable inside.

Ron and Kathy have a beautiful home and property. The house is spacious and modern while still feeling homey. We loved the kitchen, pool table, and big comfy leather couches especially. But the outside shines even more. There are so many outdoor spaces, each more enjoyable than the next. We loved rewinding after a day on the lake on the screened in porch with porch swing and propane firepit. Getting to the lake was not that difficult at all and we found it super convenient and it kind of felt like our own little private spot on the lake. We definitely look forward to returning.
