Amazing view of mount pellegrino from the balcony, apartment is very spacious and feels private and secure. Short walk to the beach
A/C in the beedrooms would be very nice

The apartment was really comfortable, specially having the terrace and the kitchen made our stay quite nice. Having the beach in just walking distance truly made our trip memorable. Can also recommend the restaurant Alba beach super nearby for excellent ice creams, food and desserts.
A small fan would have been a great addition as it got quite warm.

Very responsive and friendly owner, ready to help with everything. Nice house, clean and comfortable, has everything you need, close to the beach.

Friendly and welcoming host, wonderful location, very spacious and clean apartment, close to the beach. A definite recommendation. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Very close to the beach, just 7 minutes walk. There are two bathrooms, very big terrace, main bedroom, living room with an additional bed and one more bedroom. There are not many shops around. One big supermarket is 20 minutes away ( walking distance) The host was so nice and offered to give us a lift to the supermarket. He lives downstairs but that wasn't a problem. The apartment is much bigger than on pictures. The only downside is that there's no air-condition in the main bedroom. The closest beach (Mondello) is perfect for children but gets very crowded. There's a bus (802) that goes to Palermo (20 minutes drive). The bus stop is very close and you have to buy tickets in a shop or kiosk. I would recommend it for a beach holiday. If you want to travel around it would be better to rent a car. We had a perfect holiday.

The Accommodation was absolutely amazing and ever more exceptional was the hospitality of the owner, we had ran out of some basic supplies like coffee in the morning and he treated us like family, When we left the place we were very close to missing our next transport to the Catatonia so Alfredo gave us a lift !!
Thanks for making are time great Alfredo Wish you are very best!

Pleasant host. Really helpful and friendly. Great location, close to the beach but quiet. Good size rooms, two good bathrooms (one en-suite), spacious kitchen with access to a nice "terrazza" for great sun bathing if weather permits. Bus stop to Palermo is just 3 minute walk. Super-fast internet.
Minor point : no microwave in the kitchen, slightly old appliances in general.
4.6
Spacious apartment with personal touches from the owner like fruit, beer water etc on arrival. A lovely large sunny terrace at the front means you can sunbathe till late afternoon and the bonus is then another terrace on the back to watch the sun drop over the mountains. Just perfect! 5 minutes walk to the best beach we saw all holiday, the water is shallow so great for kids. Alfredo lives below but you only see him when you want to and he will help you with anything. You have a private staircase access to the apartment and he will even put his car on the road so you can safely park on his enclosed driveway. We loved it here and it was just what we needed to relax after touring round all of the island. Restaurants are a 25 minute walk around the bay and a very big Carrefour, just a 20 min walk. This place is an oasis with fabulous views of the rock hills that surround Mondello and should not be overlooked. One final thing, in the description on B.com it mentions a shared kitchen?? This is untrue you have full use of your own kitchen in the apartment.
Thank you Alfredo for hosting us and we enjoyed our stay with you.
Arrivederci
Very old cooker and would benefit from a toaster

Very good location:
- just really 5 minutes walk from Mondello beach (which can be hard to reach by car or bus due to the traffic or crowd if you live far from it)
- hardly any car traffic in this part of the street, very silent place
- very nice green area
- 5 minutes walk from the Bar Alba which offers tipical Sicilian food (especially sweets) and is open from 7am to midnight
- 3 minutes walk from the bus stop of bus 806 which takes you to the centre of Palermo in 20 minutes
Apartment:
- very spatious, large rooms, and with a huge terrace (at least 30sqm)
- nice view to the Monte Pellegrino from the terrace
- well equipped bathroom (even shampoo and shower gel was in there and all cleaning stuff with a superb washing machine)
- good cable TV and internet connectivity (not common in Italy according to my experiences)
- nice garden with huge fig trees
The host:
Alfredo is a really nice guy who does everything for your convenience. Just to mention a few: he gave us a lift to the supermarket in his own car, picked figs for us a few times, he offered his own bike to come and go, he was open to common programmes as well (so we drank some wine together in one of the evenings) and I could mention many other similar things. I think these were beyond his duties as a host but definitely made our stay more comfortable and and enjoyable. He was more like a friend we visited than a host. If you are looking for this kind of experience then this is really the place to visit.
- supermarkets are relatively far from the house so if you don't have a car (and we didn't) then it can take 15-20 minutes to get there on foot
- some of the equipment look shabby or old
(e.g. the gas cooker, the table in the terrace, or the cover of the couch) and give the impression as if they were dirty (in fact, they aren't)

+ major plus is the owner! Alfredo is lovely, he tries to help in every matter. He lives downstairs, but his presence is hard to notice, so that is not a problem,
+ really close to Mondello beach,
+ really big, clean and well equipped apartment with big terrace (nice view on the nearby mountain)
+ great neighborhood - really quiet and green - Mondello seems to be the rich suburbia for Palermo
+ easy and cheap access to Palermo (806 bus, 1,40 EUR for 1 trip)
the beach is divided into two parts (3/4 is commercial, and 1/4 is free and really crowded even before the season)
restaurants are located on the other side of Mondello, but it is a nice walk along the beach, so that's not a problem
