You have to pay 10 eur/day for a dog for cleaning, but room is clean really fast and not that good.

Hôtel très agréable, au calme en pleine nature entre vignes et oliviers.
Belle piscine et très bon petit déjeuner.

We went there in June 2023 and it was amazing! The staff was super, the breakfast was very good!

We stayed here for one night only because of its proximity to the airport (about 3-5k) as we had an early flight and preferred not to return to Alghero. Staff especially the restaurant staff were very friendly. Diana on reception was very helpful beforehand and during our stay. The villa is modern, spotlessly clean and has a very relaxing pool. Restaurant doesn't serve lunch but we were able to get a delicious salad. Evening meal was very good quality too and reasonably priced. Breakfast had good choices and one of the better on our trip. Would highly recommend as a rural alternative to Alghero and delighted we stayed there, would return.
Footpaths to the accommodation from the carparks and main building would be helpful rather than walking across grass. The pool was very deep at one end for smaller kids. Otherwise was a perfect convenient stay.

The garden was stunning and huge. The room had plenty of space. The bed was very comfortable.
The rooms are not very good in terms of sound isolation. Still, it did not interrupt our sleep or rest. The room would benefit from a decoration update.

The grounds, the pool, spacious rooms and dinner ( excellent pizza) .

We loved everything about our stay at Villa Barbarina! Friendly staff, our room was perfect for our family of 3, lovely swimming pool with beds and space for lying in the shade. And it has a great onsite restaurant too.
Alghero is just a short car drive away, and you are also close to Sassari and Porto Torres for example.

the pool - except for the noise the surface cleaner made when people were in it

Nice, peaceful location in the middle of the countryside. Good swimming pool. Nice breakfast and excellent pizzas available in the evenings at the restaurant. The ladies serving breakfast were very friendly.
Restaurant not open for lunch. Bathroom scarcely equipped - nowhere to place a toothbrush and very basic toiletries. Not enough hooks to hang towels. If your room is in the separate building you need to walk to the breakfast accros (100 metres or so) a lawn which is wet in the morning as sprinklers have been on all night. You arrive with wet feet/shoes. Maybe a little paved pathway could be built?

The rooms are spacious and clean. There is beautiful large garden with natural grass and a great pool area that's clean and with plenty of sunbeds and shading. Breakfast is typical Italian with many 'sweet' breads, etc. The hotel also runs as restaurant, and although overall good quality, you typically will want to visit Alghero for diner as is a great city with so much to do (great restaurants and beaches). I would highly recommend having a car at your disposal because it's a bit in the 'middle of nowhere', and Alghero is a 15-minute drive or so. Overall, the place has a relaxed vibe and you will enjoy your time near the pool and inside the lovely garden.
We expected to have rooms overseeing the garden and pool as this was clearly advertised on Booking. However, much to my surprise, we ended up in rooms on the 'back' of the property. In fact, we overlooked the facility external air-conditioning unit, which was extremely noisy and 'always on'. We immediately complained, as I explicitly requested a quite location and expected a different view for the price that we paid. However, the reception people stated that there were no other rooms available. I filed a formal complaint with Booking, but heard nothing from Booking so far. I do feel that for the price that we paid our rooms were way to expensive given their location. If the rooms had overlooked the garden/pool area, than the price that we paid would have been fine. So if you book here, double and triple check the actual location of your rooms - you want rooms that overlook the main garden, and stay clear of the very noisy air-conditioning units. Some of the other issues worth mentioning: there are only two wall-sockets, with one of them in the bathroom. The rooms are advertised as having sockets adjacent to the beds, but they are missing. I also felt that the place was due for a bit of (minor) maintenance. For example, the outside tables were in bad condition. The restaurant area had a few holes in wind-screens, etc. These are all simple enough things to fix, and the overall quality is otherwise high, so can't think of a reason why they haven't picked up on some of these minor issues. These small points are just very noticeable since everything else is of high quality. I would also have liked if they would have changed towels every few other days, or at least, have some sort of system where I could indicate that I would like new towels.

- restaurant directly in hotel (used for dinner), perfect and extremely tasty food from local ingrediences, extremely friendly director who served us at the time waiters had lot of other tables to serve
- garden between two main bulidings and surrounding
- paper walls, heard absolutely everything from next room
- not soundproof ceiling, heard absolutely everything from one floor up (even walking)
- humidity in room as from one side entrance from ground level but from second side being accomodated in basement
- only sheets, no blankets available
- tough pillows
- breakfast served in the same restaurant as perfect dinner night before was disappointment

The staff was very very helpful. Our rental car was cancelled so Giovanni from Villa Barbarina arranged a new car the next day and drove us to the airport. We were also moved to a suite for no additional cost.
The breakfast was very basic and even what was there was not THE best. Also; no lactose or fructose free things to eat. In the first room they did not even have towel racks or hooks to hang anything up in the bathroom. In the suite it was all good.
