Well worth staying here!

Very welcoming and friendly host, very comfortable bed in a good sized bed room with a lovely view, good breakfast and great location. Good value. Many restaurants in nearby Bergerac so no evening meal on site is no problem. A very pleasant stay!

Comfortable stay, enjoyed the pool

Breakfast was good. Swimming pool was the highlight. Lovely grounds too.

What a wonderful welcome to France!

What a lovely welcome to France! This is an authentic southern France hotel with thick stone walls and wooden shutters to keep out the heat. The pool was much appreciated and the manager provided us with an excellent breakfast.

No complaints here; we loved it!

Average but adequate for the price.

It was a lovely property but a little run down ! Shame because it could be so lovely as the grounds and Pool were great .

The selection of food offered was poor and only microwaveable by doing yourself ?!?

A characterful property set in beautiful grounds.

The property had character, very French.

Had no car so was about 30 minute walk into the centre.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again if in that area

Our room was on the ground floor as requested. The room was a very good size and very clean. The bed was large and so comfortable. The bathroom was so big and clean. The breakfast was a typical French but with plenty to eat.

Outside areas could have been a little tidier. The owner has a young dog who should be kept under control, it kept jumping up at me and annoying my old dog

Enjoyable, pleasant place.

Room was clean and comfortable, bathroom was well appointed and generally very clean. Excellent location.

Breakfast was not very good, I found it to be lacking in quality and choice, no croissants or ham, bread was rock hard and not very nice. The owner in general was very nice and friendly but there were a few times where his way of doing things was a bit off putting and made you feel as if you’d done something wrong.

Much better than the initial impression, would definitely stay again if in the area.

Warm welcome, clean & comfortable room, excellent continental breakfast. Owner opened up the bar especially to serve us drinks.

The initial impression driving in the property looked a bit run down, probably considered rustic. A large property to maintain, a little rough around the edges. Having said that the room was clean & comfortable.

Quiet location but close to centre of Bergerac

Your site showed there was a restaurant but there is not. Could you update please. Had we known we would have booked elsewhere

this hotel is clean and comfortable, but needs a little TLC. We stayed just one night, and it was good value for money.

The building was charming, and it is set in lovely parklands. The manager was very friendly and helpful. We had no interaction with anyone else.

it is a bit tired, and needs an upgrade. Seems a bit neglected, but could be amazing with a little investment. The towels were clean, but frayed.

Good hotel for garden and pool , would have been great in it’s heyday but in need of attention now

Liked the pool and surrounding green spaces and gardens, with large trees and little tables and chairs on the lawns . The bathroom was clean and spacious .

Maintenance of gardens ( ie weeding and general tidiness) , maintenance of the rooms ie. electrical shorts in the system feeding the TV sets in both rooms , sink plug in bathroom getting stuck and hard to open .

I believed there was a restaurant but when we got there it had been closed down for a year, breakfast was very good but a plate would have been good to put your croissant on.

Lovely quiet location, nice garden, nice breakfast nice pool, what’s not to like? 😃

Our host which appeared to be a single gentleman was very friendly and attentive and made us very welcome. Breakfast was very good, croissants were superb and was a great start to the day. Loved the pool… a good size, 12 metres long I think. Bed was comfortable. Would stay there again, hotel was well located for what we wanted so no complaints 😀

Booked hotel as restaurant was rated only to find it closed for the season !!!! Fairly dank smell in lobby and up stairs . Very disappointed

Lovely location - services and customer care to improve

Splendid cottage house immersed in the vineyards and surrounded by a nice park. Very local touch to the rooms and the facility in general. Good swimming pool.

No air conditioning. WiFi signal not reaching the rooms. We were refused a drink at 10:08pm as the staff told us they had just stopped service. We were refused a place at the restaurant despite having tried to reserve it at 6pm as the staff told us they were complete. At 8pm we passed by the restaurant and there were maybe 10 people eating in the terrace while the main dining room was completely empty. The waiters explained us that they had only one staff in the kitchen and therefore could accommodate only a handful of people.

The gardens were lovely.

The hotel was very 'tired' and had the smell of an old folks home. e.g. our headboard had a huge rip in the vinyl.

Very good

2 night stop over on our way back to Calais. Enjoyed exploring Bergerac and surrounding area. Hotel Flambee is a delightful hotel also excellently placed for our journey onwards as we didn’t have to head into the busy town & get caught in traffic. Staff at the hotel were very pleasant and welcoming. Breakfast very good . Room clean and pleasant with door opening onto to the garden. Great shower .
