Central location, 2 nice pools, spacious room, the boat service to the beach
The whole place needs some maintenance (our safe and airco did not work but after notification, it was fixed really quickly).

The room is beautiful and clean, the breakfast is good lots of options, they have good scooters to rent, there an amazing restaurant walking distance called Phu Talay seafood restaurant!
I was quite disappointed with all the facilities being closed, the so called private beach was a dump during rainy season, they didn’t do the dinner on the beach or on the boat, even though it clearly advertised on the pictures, the firefly tour is free because it lasts minutes only.

Trasiga solstolar bland annat.

Nice and clean
People park not right way, staff at coffee shop not happy.

The staff is friendly and helpful. They try their best to find a solution. I got the same room as usual. Breakfast is served during low seasons. The quality is higher as by buffet.
Kayaks are not free anymore. Also Shuttle to other villages is not provided anymore.

calm no night life easy
renovation needed

Really lovely and beautiful spot. the two pools and beach meant it always felt quiet and relaxing with options.
breakfast was good but fairly standard buffet
minor point to note that if you don’t have a scooter/ car then it is quite a walk to the nearest 7/11 etc. and there are only a handful of really close restaurants for example.
The on site restaurant for dinner was fairly expensive vs the quality of the food and there are better places nearby to eat.

We loved the hill pool, the staff, the breakfast, the free firefly boat trip, the beach, the views…
The hunger in the bathroom was broken, the bathroom door didn’t close. But nothing major.
Would be nice to provides robes and slippers
4.2
Interesting architecture, beautiful scenery by the river, great breakfast
A bit expensive
4.2
Really polite staff, charming hotel, okay breakfast, nice private beach even though you had too get a shuttleboat there (took ~5 mins). I can see myself going here again if i ever come back.
-Nearly no hot water in shower (Im assuming from having a small water heater so other guests used it up)
-would have liked a map in the room
-The spa area (massage) was extremtly overpriced to the point that I don't believe they actually wanted customers. (The beach massage however was excellent and cheap.)
4.2
Very good value for money however the property could do with a bit of TLC otherwise very good
As above needs a little of of maintainance made to the property a bit of painting wouldn’t go amiss

We stayed in the River view villa with plunge pool, The clean comfy rooms, great staff, the boat that takes you to the secret beach is great aswell.
There is a tour booking agent at reception for boat trips off Koh Chang and back to bangkok, also will help with scooter hire etc.
The resort is relatively quiet at most times and the swimming pools are great.
The location isn't as convenient as other resorts with no minimarts or 7/11 and the street food is a fair distance away.
This is fixed by hiring a scooter from the accommodation,
250baht for 125cc 24/hr

AMAZING place! Would go there again any time!
Really a really nice place, the room, pool, staff, evening boat trip to see the fireflies, restaurant, breakfast - everything was very good!

Most negative reviews here were most likely submitted by nitpickers: “it’s too remote”, “it needs renovation”, “bars at pool are unmanned”, “staff doesn’t speak English”, “breakfast sucks”, etc. Let me shine some light on those comments.
First of all, we were dropped of at the reception which looked quite impressive (like a huge tipi). All girls spoke English, albeit one better than the other. After checking in, renting 2 scooters (rental company ppl speak English too) took an extra 5 minutes and we were dropped of at our apartment.
We stayed in room 346, one of the poolview villas. We thought the room was lovely: much light, nice bed with a soft matras, tv was fine, the whole apartment is tastefully decorated and also has a big terras outside.
Aana resort is definitely not new, but it is clean and neat. Optically the woodwork (everywhere) seems a bit worn, but that doesn’t have any influence on the overall experience.
Breakfast. 2 very friendly (English speaking) cooks, 1 fairly big guy and a girl, will prepare eggs for you, just the way you like them. Besides that, there’s Thai food, sausages, bread, and other western options available.
The bars at the pool are unmanned. I didn’t ask why, but if (in 4 days) never seen more than 4 people in and around the pool at the same moment. Seems ridiculous to open a bar for a handful of people.
Aana Resort is only 800 meters away from an area with many restaurants, street food & fruits, coffee bars, etc. It’s NOT remote.
I would definitely recommend Aana!
Nothing really.

Nice big and comfortable beds.
The private plunge pool was great but it can get cold depending on the time of day and year.
Bars at the pools weren't open.
4.2
beautiful views over the river. very quiet resort, not many patrons around. breakfast was awesome! lots of options
not located ON a beach or nearby town. you need to scooter 5-7mins or get a taxi.
4.2
The location is magical, truly jungle, the pools are super, the territory is super, the breakfast is super.
The only minus after 21:00 the kitchen in the restaurant does not work, there is no minibar, only two small bottles of water. When asked to bring water to the room (because the shops are far away and just checked into the hotel), they sold water at a crazy price.
4.2
Beautiful spot. Super quiet. Rooms were really nice- no need to book a bungalow as we had a deluxe room overlooking the pool and I reckon our spot was way better.
Staff were very quiet and very few smiled. Some were ok. None were rude, but certainly didn't create a great vibe early on.
