Lovely period villa. Pool area lovely and pretty much had it to ourselves. Staff lovely and very friendly. More like being hosted in a private home or guest house than a hotel.
The shower was really small.

The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful - they booked all our taxi's.
The hotel was very clean as were the rooms.
Breakfast was a definite hit with my partner and there was lots of variety.
The original room standard room we booked had very small windows, this did not show the beautiful scenery or let in much air - upgrading to the junior suite was so much better. The room and views were amazing.

be aware when you book a standard room it is in the attic with very little natural light and no view out. also there is no lift. thou staff very willing

The staff were really lovely and incredibly friendly and generous! They even made us a packed breakfast when we left early to catch our flight. The hotel took breakfast seriously with lots of good food and coffee! The rooms were very clean and tidy.
The pool was closed as it was being cleaned which was a shame.

We had a comfortable one night stay (08.10) at Villa Moorings on our cycling tour. The room was large, there was a good selection at breakfast including fresh cooked eggs and pancakes and we enjoyed a couple of beers on the terrace in the early evening sunshine. The hotel is just a short walk up into the beautiful old town with bars and restaurants. Don't miss the view from the hotel's tower over Barga and sourrounding mountains. A special thank you to Beatrice who mailed our glasses back to the UK.

Just gorgeous. Huge room. Beautiful. Super friendly staff. Great place from which to explore the area.
No elevator - didn’t bother us — but someone might need one. Old villa.

Clean, great views, convenient situation
Decor was tasteful, my husband loved it. I felt some was a little tired

Staff were excellent and room was cleaned daily.
Breakfast was average with a lot of cakes, poor bread range. on offer.
There was no bar past 7 pm which is not in keeping with a normal hotel this size and cost.
The grounds were a little shabby and unkempt. Could have done with some tlc on the gardening front.

The building and the view are stunning, great
terrace on the top and several balconies available
Location is perfect and they host the jazz festival
in their garden which is cool. Staff is friendly yet
reserved, and there was a lot of freedom in the
building which makes you feel like at home.
Breakfast is tasty and offers plenty of options.
Room Nonno Lio is big and airy. I truly enjoyed my stay
The place would require some intervention
in my opinion. I like the rustic style but the
shutters for example were very hard to open and
the decor of the bed could be revisited. Overall
not a big issue.

Great location. Good sized rooms. Very friendly and lovely staff. Loved the Art Deco accomodation. Very filling breakfast and having access to eating on the terrace was a bonus. The pool was extremely appreciated on the very hot days. I would return to this property if I came back to Barga.
I cannot fault it.

Beautiful old building, spacious room with high ceilings and aircon. Easy parking a few steps from the entrance. Great location with a few local restaurants and shops, just a few minutes walk from the old town of Barga. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was great, including lots of home made cakes & biscuits, meats, cheeses, cereals, plus the option of scrambled eggs. Good space around the pool with some shaded areas.
