This is a fabulous hotel. The grounds are simply stunning, the staff are exceptional and all of the food and wine we had was absolutely delicious.
Nothing whatsoever.

It is a beautiful hotel, we stayed at Augustus Lido, a house built by Agnelli, the father of Gianni Agnelli , it is a beautiful house with a big porch where breakfast and dinner are served overlooking a beautiful garden with super old trees. The staff is very attentive, special recognition to Edoardo (waiter), Simona and Letizia (front desk), Elena (waiter) and Stefano (best concierge ever).
They treat you like family. Room was spacious and bed, pillows comfortable. The beach club is superb, elegant, discreet and secure.
You can easily access the beach club through and under path built by Agnelli family so you don’t have to cross the street to access the beach.
Breakfast was good quality but they should remove your plates from the table once you are finish eating since breakfast is buffet and a la carte.

Beautiful hotel with charm, beautiful rooms, friendly staff and a wonderful breakfast. Would definitely return! It was a value as well.
Nothing to improve!

We had a lovely stay. The location is great, the staff is attentive, and the breakfast was amazing. We came with our small dog and they had a lovely welcome package for him. We will definitely go back. With that said, and from reading other reviews, it does look like we had a very good rate for the room.
The private beach should not come at an extra cost for guests. In most hotels of this caliber, it would be included.

The property itself is beautiful and large with lots of of greenery. When you come up the driveway, beautiful flowers surround you. We booked a standard double room - the room we received was quite spacious and it had a terrace. The breakfast was also delicious and included in the price of the room. The staff were also attentive and helpful - they booked our covid tests for us which we require to return to Canada, and they kindly booked our tent at the beach club. Thank you very much for your kindness and professionalism! We had a wonderful stay!
The only thing I would say is that some extras were overpriced - e.g.., room service fee is 20 euro. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels and I found this to be high. However, this kind of pricing seems to be standard in forte dei marmi. My expectations in coming to Forte generally were m managed because I understood the pricing to be what it is in this town - this isn’t specific to this hotel but generally the hotels in the area. I think some tourists come to Forte and expect the beach club fee to be included as well as other things - that just isn’t the case. So my only advice to someone traveling to Forte generally (and nor this hotel specifically) would be to manage your expectations so that you aren’t annoyed by fees.

Classical and old rooms back to fifties
Old bed poor quality matrasses
We paid 850 euro per night..But this is way overpriced hotel more for wealthy grannies who like to live in the past
We were forced to lunch at 13.00 at Beach club, although there was plenty seats available at 14.00

The gym and dinner room service was very good
This hotel is like fawlty towers at its worst. Yes they upgraded us but at nearly €1,000 per night this hotel is overpriced and fails to deliver a reasonable standard. Everything is outdated including their approach on customer service. It took several attempts to get a kettle and coffee machine, which they charged for. After several pleads for an iron they assured us that they wouldn’t over charge for the ironing and small laundry. Result was full charge at over €700. After several emails, they offered a 50% discount on our next visit laundry. I explained, unless they completely change the hotel, we would never return but they refused to reconsider.
The photos shows the restaurant looks like a garage, the building is outdated. The breakfast in room came with dirty dusty plates and hard pastries.
The approach customers as a nuisance. Please look at our other feedback. We prefer to give positive responses but this hotel ignores feedback and simply says they will use it for training. Seriously this is the worst hotel we have visited. NEVER STAY THERE

Evertyting at the Augustus is remarkable; this time a particular mention is for the management and the staff of the hotel: they have noticed (I guess from my ID) that my birthday fell during my stay, and they brought in my room a small cake made on purpose for me and my wife, and two glasses of wine. The hotel is a private property in the green, as soon as you enter the gate you feel relaxed.
The beach accomodation is not cheap (but this is common in Forte dei Marmi - no complains: if you go there this is how it works) but very much confortable; and the food at the beach restaurant Bambaissa is high quality.
This time we were in a section named La Nave, which has rooms with a wonderful terrace although the room is a bit old style and not so spacious. Some more amenities in the bathroom would be appreciated.

Excellent hotel surrounded by a lovely garden full of beautiful flowers and tree. A Peaceful atmosphere. Our room had a fantastic view towards the mountains.
The AC in our room did not work properly; it did not cool properly and the fan was loud. At some point at night we were quite hot and felt the need to open the windows.
