We dined at Virgita restaurant in Baldi Hot Springs Resort Hotel & Spa. Regrettably, the food quality was poor, with one dish stale and shell pieces in the seafood soup. Despite being assured we wouldn't be charged due to our dissatisfaction; we didn't sign the receipt. Yet, the next day during checkout, the resort added the dinner charges, contrary to the prior agreement. Although we hadn't signed any receipt or invoice, we were obligated to pay.

This place is beautiful. It’s a vast property with so many different hot spring pools. The property is beautiful and lush and right in the middle of a rainforest and town. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff was very good. The room was very large and clean.
The only thing we didn’t like was that the property sells a lot of day passes for people to come enjoy the hot springs. This is common in this area with other hotels but there would be buses dropping off tons of teenagers/people and it really took away from the ambience for hotel guests. The breakfast was fantastic but the rest of the food is just okay.

The property was amazing! the setting is spectacular! As we drove up to the hotel we were greeted with a smile and friendly hello! The young man at the front desk was so welcoming and gave us all the info needed for our stay, very friendly. The food at the restaurant was very good. The hot springs were incredible! This hotel is a must see when visiting La Fortuna!

Die Kombination von Hotel und heißen Quellen
Nachmittags der etwas strengere Uringeruch in einigen der Quellen sowie das Menü-Angebot am Abend a la carte.

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, adding authenticity to the experience. The natural geothermal waters are therapeutic and soothing, melting away stress and leaving a sense of tranquility. The grounds are beautifully maintained, blending with the surroundings. Private soaking tubs offer seclusion, and the facilities are clean and comfortable. The stunning natural surroundings create a harmonious escape. For relaxation, rejuvenation, and a memorable getaway,
The rooms are slightly outdated, and the scenery from the room didn't meet my expectations. With some room improvements, Baldy Hot Springs has the potential to enhance the overall guest experience.

Beautiful location very tropical with beautiful landscaping and view of the volcano . We had 2 rooms reserved but due to a family emergency we only needed one room but since we could not get a rebate for the second room that we already paid for the manager agreed to upgrade our one room to a suite and it was much appreciated.
There were a lot of people using the property for the hot springs, it looked like many bus loads of people came in for the day and it a kind of seemed like a theme park atmosphere.

nothing. it was terrible.
mold on the beds. crappy customer service. terrible food.
10.0
The pools, rooms, amenities, breakfast options really good
The area of the room smell strange, toilet was clogged, dinner options were few and quality is not up to a 5 star hotel
10.0
Clean, amenities, size of the room
Room is not easy to access from the parking lot. Bathrobes where not set in the room, dinner menu is simple for a 5 star hotel.
8.0
Pools, breakfast
Food quality at Buffett restaurant. Drink prices too high for quality and quantity.
8.0
many thermal pools
the rooms and shower were very dated
9.0
Spectacular complex of 25 thermal pools, ranging from hot tub to large pools and others with swim-up bars, all set in lush jungle. Genuine ’wow factor’. Excellent and fairly priced spa. good security for general access and for car park
Hotel rooms were very comfortable but a bit tired, not quite 5 star as claimed. Well run bars, but quite expensive

Beds were comfortable. The view to the volcano was amazing from the small deck overlooking the room. The Baldi Springs and hot tubs were amazing. The meal at the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced.
We did not like the buffet very much. For the price we felt there could have been more of a variety.
7.0
Hot springs.
The facility is old and rundown. The bathroom requires renovation. You could occasionally smell sewer from the pipes.

Breakfast was very good and had many choices. Staff was very friendly and rooms were very clean. The pools were clean and well laid out.
The restaurants were a little expensive for the food that was offered.
8.0
The breakfast buffet was very good, wide range of food.
Dinner buffet was quite average, I expected a better buffet from a place that charges so much for their rooms.

Lovely property and great facilities on site. Although it was high season, the hot springs were relatively quiet and relaxing. There were lots of different pools to use (plus super speedy water slides in one of the areas to keep us entertained).
We were slightly worried about eating there due to some previous reviews, but I had the caramelised onion pizza for dinner and it was delicious. There was a great choice of food for the breakfast included and it was also very nice.
Was a great stay for a night to make the most of the springs and we were allowed to use the facilities all day on the days we checked in/out.

coffee marker in room but had to pay $4 usd per pod. kids shouldnt be allowed in the 3 swim up bars. breakfast, 8am no staff to be seen, we got our own coffee, one staff wanted tip for a self serve buffet breakfast

Never-seen-before pools, good food, good staff.
Sometimes, staff forget to bring new towels or new coffee capsules. Cheklist needed. But nothing serious.

The opportunity to use the springs is amazing- absolutely gorgeous
We mentioned that it was our anniversary and my husbands 50th birthday and no one did anything special . That would have been nice.
