the food

my friends and i all got the same size room, same facility and everything. 2 ended up being bigger and my partner and i got the smallest. the floor was dirty, our mini fridge didn’t work, the lights flickered and the bathroom was dusty, one of the toilets wasn’t working which left only 1 toilet, the shower and the toilet door weren’t shutting or locking properly and the bathroom to the actual bathroom didn’t lock which for females can get uncomfortable.

Beautiful place with cozy room, has a bar and gaming lounge downstairs which had the best staff there, shops and supermarket just a 2 minute walk away.

One communal bathroom shared between 12 rooms. The booking details didn't state a communal bathroom. Shared the bedroom with cock roaches. Choice of food in the restaurant was diabolical. The cook would cook only fish and chips, pizza chips, because she had to go somewhere.

If I ever travel back there again I would stay there again

The room was very clean and very quiet so we were able to relax in the room for the night and the beds were very comfortable and was able to get a good night sleep

Very poor hygiene and wrong accommodation provided.

There was nothing to like about the place.

The accommodation was booked for 3 Adults and 1 child. When contacted through phone the hotel confirmed that we will be provided 1 Queen bed, 1 single bed and 1 pull out bed. But we were only given 1 Queen bed and 1 single bed in a very small room. We did not have bed for one of us. When contacted, the hotel staff did not help. Also there were several cockroaches in the room. When we discussed the same the hotel did not offer any help. It was too late at night and we could not figure any alternative accommodation. Also the hotel has shared bathroom facilities. The condition of these bathrooms was very poor. Additional review after hotel's response. I am writing this after the hotel staff responded to my review above. 1. The bathroom hygiene issue has been there for years now. If you go through all the reviews on this very website, you will see how countless people have complained about it. 2. The cockroach infestation have been there for years too. Again if you go through all the reviews on this very website, you will see multiple complaints. 3. Also, the hotel multiple hotel staff went back and forth and refunding but finally did not refund. It is not so much about the amount that was paid, it was about the sub par service and how blatant they are in ignoring complaints and continuing the run the business.

The empathy and compassion from staff was phenomonal

The staff were empathetic and compassionate. We rush booked the room as our brother was air flown to a nearby hospital. All staff made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. They gave us information to get things we need and the best ways to get to and from the hospital. Amazing professionalism in a time that we needed exactly that.

It was a bit hard to find the entrance for the check-in desk, as it is at the back where the carpark is, instead of the front of the building.

Okay for a short stay.

Good beds, very clean, close to station and supermarket, great wifi and aircondition.

First we were not allowed to check in due to pub security reasons and early closing on Sunday, still 1.5 hours before end of check in time. After contacting booking.com it worked for check in. Staff very friendly at all. Lots of big cockroaches outside, only seen one in the shower, nothing in the room. Would say could happen, but still not a good feeling. Nothing in the room. One of the two toilets flush didn't work, water running all night. Fridge in the room didn't work.

POOR quality

2 cockroaches around the room and very heavy strong old grandpa's perfume all over the hall way and the family room that caused us hard to sleep. Stayed there 4 nights, 2 out of the 4 nights toilet out of function, guests did number 1 and 2 and were not able to flush the toilet VERY BAD! no hairdryer at the room. shared the female shower/toilet doors were not able to closed properly very scary.

close location to food and train

No water or sink in the room to fill the kettle. after a long drive from Brisbane we were held at reception for 30min for just check in. we were only told then there it’s shared toilet and bath. no hangers or hook to hang clothes in the bathroom. single was kind of broken. it would tilt to one side when sleeping. creaky floor.

All good for a first time. No complaints.

Location

That there is no attached wash was a surprise. The bath area has no shelves/cloth hangers or a proper place to store fresh clothes. We had to do it over the bin.fulcrum doors further cramped the space. There was no way to come out with dry feet. The tissue role dispenser in toilet was broken and required replacement. There was only one mirror and hand wash sink with no place for placing a towel or shaving equipments. Can be improved easily. That washroom is common should be clear in the first place. Thank you for your patience .

The hotel food was very good and friendly and welcoming staff.

Shower space was far too small and no hook to put anything up while having it. Nothing to wipe your hands after washing them from going to the toilet.
