Luke’s home was incredibly charming—it’s a period home with all the original details, but beautifully maintained and well appointed. There was plenty of room for the 5 of us, and the location is very walkable—near the high street, shops and cafes, beach, train and bus stops. Highly recommend!

Lovely quirky property close to sea and amenities including the station for travel to nearside towns. Lovely little courtyard to enjoy evening drinks. We travelled by train and I think parking would have been an issue if we had not.

A very comfortable historic home. 5minutes walk to the sea front, level walk to town, good walks along the coast and into the countryside, or cycle rides. Well equipped kitchen to eat in or many local pubs and variety of restaurants cafes to try. We did not need to use a car, only by choice to go further into Kent.

Blue Skies was cosy and warm especially as it was a bitterly cold time! The house is well located in Deal with easy walking to shops (quite delightful and individual) and good restaurants as well as the beach (when nicer weather!). Also easy to drive to Ramsgate ( to visit Ramsgate tunnels) and Dover (to the castle).
Everything about Blue Skies was comfortable and easy. It’s very well equipped, with good beds and a nice lounge and kitchen/dining area.
Thoroughly recommend!

We had a wonderful time in Blue Skies.
The house has everything you need and you can walk 100 meters to the beach.
We enjoyed our stay and had good contact with the owners.

The house is just set back from the seafront and amongst many other interesting and quirky houses in the Middle Street area of Deal'
The house is very well equipped but be prepared for lots of stairs, again be prepared for that which is typical of this part of historic Deal.
Take a look at the toilet on the first floor from the outside, very intgeresting construction!

Break in deal
we had a few days in blue skies, deal is a great little place , to stay and explore this lovely coast,
Beds were comfy, kitchen was reasonably equipped, a few more chopping knives would b good , all I would say is on this presant covid climate especially, cleansenes could of been better , im not going to list everything that was dirty , but there were things and areas that needed to be cleaner ,
But the linen was clean, and the sinks and toilets were too , ...and i guess those are important, overall we enjoyed our stay , and i would come back to deal for sure , ..thought it odd that we were asked to take our rubbish home with us , the property has bins ..and the dustbin was just around the corner !!
These are just a couple of observations, but as I say we enjoyed our stay , . Blue skies is a pretty little place

We had a really lovely stay at Blue Skies (and luckily the weather lived up to the name too). A great location and beautiful property to stay for a long weekend in Deal.

Such a cosy place to stay, lovely tiny garden with pot plants, located in the old part of town.

Lovely cosy house in great location
This is a gorgeous cosy home, really well equipped with everything you could need. It's in a fabulous location, on a lovely quiet square a minute's walk from the beach. The owners were very welcoming and gave us lots of info about the house and local area. And Deal is lovely! We had a great time and would absolutely recommend staying at Blue Skies.

Just right
Charming. I loved the kitchen; it was so well equipped. The beds were comfortable but the duvets were a bit too heavy for the weather (September), even with the windows open & heat off, we roasted. The toilet on the third floor often had to be flushed twice and it took about five minutes to refill. I once found it stuck running for a very long time.
There was no room in the bedroom with twin beds for luggage and the couple double bedroom had to store one of their suitcases in the hallway. There was plenty of room in the master bedroom.
The location was very quiet despite being so close to two pubs, which we all (6 of us) really enjoyed.

Great location in the centre of Deal old town, close to shops, pubs, restaurants and the beach/seafront. We recommend it highly and hope to be back!

A lovely, comfortable property and a great location
We had a lovely, relaxing stay in this well positioned property. All the facilities that you could require, and within easy reach of the main town and seafront. All very comfortable, and friendly service from Jackie.
I loved sitting in one of the window seats, reading and watching the world go by (or being nosey!!). Deal is a great town, with plenty of places to eat and drink, shops to wander around and lovely walks along the seafront.
If you get a parking space in the square on Saturday, you then don't have to move until Monday 10:30am!
I would definitely recommend a stay at Blue Skies!

Perfect Property
A beautiful house, tastefully furnished and beautifully equipped. Perfect position for the sea and the shops and even more perfect - two lovely pubs right there in the Square. We were there over Christmas and the house was cosy and warm. Would love to make a return visit, maybe in the Spring

Home from Home
Blue skies is warm and inviting as soon as you step through the door. Warm, honey coloured, woods add to the aura of a happy welcome. After a day exploring Deal and the local environs, comfortable sitting room and bedrooms make for a restorative haven; a well appointed kitchen/dinning room provide a platform for fortifying the body before setting out for the day.

Beautiful place, great location, lovely people
It was our first visit to Deal so firstly, van highly recommend the town for a nice break. We went with two young children (4 months and 3 years) and the older one particularly loved running along the seafront and the pier. Lots of nice places to eat (including on the pier which was surprisingly good quality and low priced) and plenty of pubs. As for the house, it's a lovely terraced cottage with lots of character. The kitchen was well fitted (washing machine, dishwasher, oven microwave, large fridge freezer) with nice large dining table over a counteFree tested kitchen was also well stocked with the basics (dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, salt and pepper etc, and even a few tea bags and coffee - so if you're used to Centre Parcs type places it's nice not to worry about needing to think about these things). There's also a small garden with table and chairs, though visiting in late November we didn't sit out!
Upstairs the lounge was cosy with fake fire adding to the ambiance. TV has netflix built in so you can log in to your own account (there's no active account) and all of freeview to watch. Three nice bedrooms, three toilets, one bath and one shower complete the place. We had no trouble parking with lots of on street spots available. The location is perfect with a nice Shepherd Neame pub 10 seconds away (there's a pub even closer - next door, but seemed a bit too 'local' for our liking), and the seafront 60 seconds away. The town is also very easily accessible (5-10 mins depending on which end you need) and there's a swimming pool with flumes for the family a 10-15 minute walk awa, just past the train station. It's then a short drive to Warmer castle (worth a visit), or a bit further to Dover. The owners were lovely too. they were quick to respond when we had questions in advance of the stay (and we had quite a few) and they greeted us on arrival to take us through important details like how to operate the heating. I'd thoroughly recommend a stay in Deal, and if you do, stay here.

Comfortable, well equipped home
I stayed here with my husband, daughter and her two sons, 5 and 2 years old. Although the top flights of stairs were quite steep, the two-year-old managed them using the bannister rods for support.
It was ideal having a shower room and a bath room ( the en-suite,) for bathing children.
The kitchen diner was an ideal size and well equipped. The only thing we couldn't find was a sieve for straining couscous!
The bedrooms had adequate space for storage and the beds were comfortable.
On the first floor, the living room was an attractive comfortable space in which to relax and try to work out how to play 3-player chess! The internet connection was good.
We had been worried about the parking facilities, but it all worked out fine, until the final morning, when my daughter got a ticket at 10.50, (the car should have been moved at 10.30) so be warned!
We found plenty to do in Deal, (castle, pier and time-ball tower,) Kingsdown, (enough sand at low tide for sandcastle building and access to Walmer Castle) and a trip to Broadstairs for a larger expanse of beach and rock pools.
We'd highly recommend the house, its position and convenience to amenities to suit young and old.

Lovely property, great location!
We had a lovely time! Great property and a comfortable stay. It's set in a square surrounded by narrow lanes, full with variations of old buildings. Lovely to have beach 1 minute on your doorstep and many shops nearby.

Lovely weekend stay with family
We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay at Blue Skies, a charming and quaint period house with bags of character and plenty of room for the 6 of us (3 couples). Brilliant to be able to park our car up when we arrived Friday afternoon and not to drive anywhere the whole weekend. Luckily the weather was kind to us and we thoroughly enjoyed walks along the sea front and to the end of pier where there is a nice cafe. We even managed a few hours sitting in the sun in the courtyard garden. The Saturday morning market was a plus and the High Street has a lovely mix of shops to browse in. Spoilt for choice with the amount of pubs and restaurants to choose from but had a lovely evening meal in the Port Arms which we would highly recommend. We could not fault our stay in any way and would not hesitate to book again. Thank you Jackie and Luke for sharing Blue Skies with us.
