Great newly renovated hotel.
When you look the room photos you can't say that the hotel itself is so stylish and well-designed.
The location is a bit uphill, but the whole city is about going up and down.
As to the "prison view" that several commentators mentioned - it looks more like a big church or something, or like a regular building, so nothing scary, not a problem at all.

The room was big and airy. A fridge was there which is great. There was a nice terrace out the back to sit and relax in.
Breakfast was only from 8am, and I would have preferred it to be from 0730 as I was there for work and needed to be at a venue by 0900hr.
4.5
very clean
fancy decor
good breakfast (not included)
nice mattresses (but on a cot style beds)
I strangle to how to label this hotel: very upscale hostel?
no lift
view on the prison (nice looking historic buildings though)
cot style bed (felt like a hostel). but mattresses were pretty good
stuff felt a bit clueless albeit eager

Very good location, nice and clean.
Unfortunately because it’s a renovated old building, the sound insulation between rooms is really insufficient, meaning you can hear every single wood crack and sound from the other rooms. Optional breakfast is just average.

the hotel is really good, it’s very clean and cozy. The receptionist was really nice and welcoming. I like hotels without keys as we visited a concert and it could be uncomfortable to bring a key with us. The compliment (one donut) was a good surprise, I just don’t understand why it was one for two people:)))
Our room was near a technical place outside and a door to that place creaked in the wind all night, it was awful. The pillows could be more comfortable. The hotel raised the price because of the concert. I booked the room 2 weeks ago and the price right before the concert was 1,5 times lower

Location good for seeing Coimbra. Parking outside easy on sunday but touch and go weekdays. Use of small kitchenette handy especially fridge. Staff excellent in helping solve problem with previous property.
Bed on terrace- not necessary and took up space.

Location is perfect for us since we have business to attend nearby. Great place for our family's need. Nice ambience.
The pillows. It was small and flat. Thats my only comment.
3.5
wonderful location and friendly staff
there were ants in the room. the staff was really nice and changed the room for me but this is a problem that management should take care of! there were colonies of ants. after switching the room there were still a couple ants but didn’t bother to switch again.

beautiful modern property, exceptionally clean with lovely facilities
all good

This is a nice property. The room was good. Everything worked. The bathroom was a good size. The shower was easy to operate, which is not always the case.
The wireless work well. In fact most everything was good.
The breakfast was good but is 9 Euros extra per day. There are not readily accessible restaurants nearby so the hotel breakfast made sense.
The thermostat was somewhat confusing, apparently the heat setting was turned off and only airconditioning was working.
This place is about 20 minutes walk from the core downtown in a hilly city. I didn’t mind the walking but taxis may make more sense for some.

Bed and pillows were not comfortable.

Great deal for the money. Overall property was very quaint, room was pretty basic, but comfortable and clean.
reserved room through Booking.com. Was a little leery because there are no pictures of the actual rooms, just the property. No reason for concern as we were able to see the room as soon as we got there. Great value for the money. Highly recommend

The loft room style was amazing and well worth the price. You get your own kitchen, water boiler, tea, table. Comfortable bed, nice lighting, enjoyed using the closet. Lovely aesthetic and design of the whole location.
There was no heat option in the room because it was set to "summer" and since we arrived late and couldn't turn off the AC, it was absolutely freezing. Even after turning it off it was cold our second night too, forgot to ask for more blankets. One thing to keep in mind for "working from home" is that the wifi is a bit slow, especially at night for some reason. I wish the breakfast was included in the price.

very welk located. Easy Parking on the street. nice big room. the prison vis-a-vis is no problem. very calm area. near botanical garden. 10min to city center. we really enjoyed our stay
loft too small but nice and calm

The space is really nicely renovated, with old and new joined in a very good way.
It is noticeable that the space needs to be better maintained; the materials and finishes look recent, but the walls and the outside of the bed looked very used because of scratches. This does not mean it was dirty; over-wall looked very clean.

Great location and the common areas with art was beautiful. There was a good variety for breakfast.

As it is my five time there, with the kids, i really like the facilities, the decor and the location ( central and easy to park in front of the house). The small kitchen is very usefull. This time We stayed at the family suite and it waa amazing, with a lot of space, our ownn terrace and living room.

Interesting building and interior. Cool inside.
The loft room was actually v small and not like the photo. We asked to be moved. Didn’t really see the point of the cooking facilities. The staff weren’t particularly friendly or welcoming. Further away from the main town than we anticipated (about a 15 min walk).

Very good breakfast and very comfy room. Absolutely loved the decor of the whole place!
