The location is incredible and the hotel itself it truly beautiful - the restaurant, the breakfast room, the foyer and the rooms.
We were there in Spring, so the weather was bit cooler, however still lovely to sit in the sun - unfortunately the pool area was closed however it would have been an beautiful spot to have an afternoon drink and enjoy the view.

Location is perfect and the building is spectacular. The views are fantastic. The staff are welcoming and friendly.
The restaurant and bar management seems to be lacking organization. The food was okay to good. The wait staff was not very attentive. Our recommendation would be to eat elsewhere and enjoy a bottle of wine on the terrace rather than ordering from the bar.

Location is perfect. No need for a car (once you park, of course).
The food. The restaurant, while gorgeous with a breathtaking view and boasting a Michelin rating, was underwhelming. I ordered a salad, and the owner (?) insisted on dressing it for me. He was so pleasant, I couldn't refuse him but...he drowned it in olive oil and killed it with a packet of sugar. I love olive oil, but it was (no kidding) about 1/8 a cup. The sugar was just weird but by the time I realized what was happening, it was too late.
The breakfast is inedible. Don't waste your money. I'd compare it to Holiday Inn Express, but this cost me 15 euros daily. I'd booked this vacation a long time ago and forgot I'd gotten the breakfast included as a special (I wouldn't have purchased it otherwise). On our first morning, we were up early, about 8am and went downstairs. We asked about coffee (all you'll get in the room is instant) and where to get breakfast and he told us he didn't know. The next morning we got up a little later and the office person asked us what we thought of the breakfast. We told her what happened, she comped us a day's charge for parking. Fine. So we went down for breakfast and it was gross. Sloppy, messy eggs, diet yogurt, and nowhere to serve ourselves coffee, water, or juice. We asked for coffee and ten minutes later (without the coffee), we decided to leave.
We won't stay there again, but aside from the food, the place is great. Very comfortable, spacious rooms, great bed, and super clean.

Of course the location and amenities were excellent, but what sets the Montelirio apart is the quality of it’s staff; attentive and friendly while respectful of their customers privacy… much appreciated!
Twin beds were a little narrow, and the room size was smaller than usual but that can be expected in an original building in the older city of Ronda…

Breakfast is a little limited.

The hotel is in the most wonderful location, just off the main road, so perfect to exploring, and the views, wow! just amazing, the bridge to one side and then a birds view of the countryside and mountains to the other, just incredible.
The welcoming from Lola at reception was welcomed, and what can I say of the room, again, just perfect, the bed is one of the most comfortable ive had in a hotel, (and I have travelled) we stayed in room 103. We will def be back.
Also must say the breakfast was very good, large selection and very good quality. It was my partners birthday, and they came out with a nice little cake , lovely touch.
